The worst hostel ever. No hot water in the shower sometimes. Constantly lying staff-They will say you got your deposit back to card & if you request proof, they will simply lie that you received it by cash and if you want to see the video footage, you should bring a police offer. (Who call the cops for just 20 dollars? CRAZY) Messy room with insect(I saw something like cricket in the ROOM)& broken wine bottle. If you wake up in the morning, you will see your suit case is wet because of broken wine bottle(that happened to me) & Wifi doesn’t work & some are very cheap, so you will see wet clothes all over around your bed

Positives: Location is great. Twin room with private bathroom was excellent. Generous room size, free dinner on certain day, free brekky, pretty clean room and bathroom, great facilities in the room (TV, bar fridge, tea coffee sachets, heater, clean sheets, doona & towel, comfy bed), friendly staff (we got Tiffany when we checked in). Overall excellent value to stay. Negatives: Room was cold especially during winter but they provided heater for us to use. We can hear the noise from inside when people got in to their room but it wasn't too bad. Ground floor before the lift was smelled strong cigarettes.

Do not stay here! Understandably the accomodation was pretty full with the rain, but staff were unaccommodating and conned me out of money twice. Last time I asked to leave my key at reception knowing that I may not be around at check out to collect key deposit (due to last minute bus), they refused and told me I had to do it in person. Frustrating but gave them the benefit of doubt. Came back again this time (even with my key from last time). This time was forced to book separate rooms and would have to check out (10am) and back in (2.30pm) 3 times during my trip, ended up finding somewhere else after their recommendation that they were full on Sat night. What frustrates me is they then refused to refund the stay they just told me make as they needed 24hrs notice. I wouldn’t care but it was staff who suggested to make the booking this way. They care too much about profit and very little on guest experience. Hostel is run down and rooms over priced. Location is the only thing going for it.

Pros: The toilets are clean Staff is quick and very friendly (specially Shelby, Agustín and the French girl) Not so pricy Kitchen is well equipped and fridge is big enough Cons: The loudest hostel you can find (not only because of the bloody station, also people is so loud like sharing with 15 years old party full on, nonstop). And doors.. oh my god. Banging super loud 24/7. Long terms. They think they own the whole place. And there is no space for new people. Also making friends is not easy cause they're already in big groups. Not to mention that the ones in my room were frigging disrespectful, having a laugh and playing football inside the room at 1 am. They say they do deep cleaning on Wednesday but that's a lie. They don't. And my room was smelly and very messy (same, because of long terms). I think there should be a limit of time like others hostels do (2 months max f.e.) The WiFi is not good enough. Sometimes it disconnects and it works very slow. Showers need an improvement. Doors are bloody noisy and some of them don't even close. Some floors don't even have a toilet which I find insane. And sometimes common areas are so crowded and again, loud, very loud. I had a guy who threw up inside the room, on the door and on my suitcase and clothes. He didn't even care cause he was so drunk. He didn't even clean his mess. This is the kind of people you'll find here. If you are that sort of scourge then go for it. There is not enough shelves to storage your food. Too many people I guess. And some mommy's babies don't wash their staff. But nothing happens. In other hostels I've stayed they fine you or at least they give you a warning. If you don't expect to have a good sleep then stay here. Otherwise avoid it at all cost. Europa hostel is a better one and there is not much difference economically speaking. They have curtains so privacy is gold there and people's behaviour is different because of that (more mindful and respectful). Also there are some very old people sharing with all the teenagers (poor of them!) so I guess there is no age limits (I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing). Again, it's like there's not many rules in this hostel. Only "no visitors, no booze in the rooms and no smoke". The rest is called *do the f* you want*. Some people has cutlery and bowls, and mugs inside the rooms so guess what? there's not enough in the kitchen, of course. AND THEY EAT ON THEIR BED. Gross as. Again, housekeeping cleaned the room every day but they didn't remove the dirty crockery or tell the guest off. Anything! *Do the f* u want* I'm so glad to leave this place. Only booked for one week (the last 2 nights I stayed somewhere else because of everything I mentioned before so it was just 5 days of suffering) and I really can't understand how people can stay for 2 months. It's a nightmare. I would never come back here of course.

Vorteile: Sehr zentrale Lage, man kommt überall schnell hin.

Finders backpackers is my fav hostel in all of Melbourne... Hell Australia. Now given when I travel I like to keep things simple. So the rooms are very simple, little finishes etc. Just a bed, a usb port and etc. But it's all you need really, do you really use that tv in your room anyway? The place has a great atmosphere and people will aways be ready to talk and share with you places you should check out. Mostly people In there 20s staying there, so pretty cooolllll area of you are like me and in that age group. But yeah definitely recommend!

Wish we could do a 3.5 rating but figured we’d round up. Pros: great location, kind staff, free breakfast every day, movie room and free movie nights are fun Cons: inconsistent hot water for showers and was told to just find a different bathroom (ended up going to the floor with renovations happening for warm water), different levels of cleanliness in the bathrooms, thin walls, windows don’t shut all the way so busy street noise is audible at all times. Towels aren’t provided in shared dorms, only in private rooms. Would stay here again for the location but would bring ear plugs and a towel.

Friendly people but that’s about it. Noise is an issue, can’t sleep as there is a club on level 1, windows don’t close properly so you hear everything outside. If your tall don’t come beds are way to small, room likes like a prison cell just missing the bars on the windows. Good breakfast ? Not really unless you like oats and muesli with milk. You hear everything from your room. House keeping vacuuming at 10pm? No parking associated with the backpackers, hard to find. Weird people outside. Good location to everywhere, but if you like to sleep don’t come here.

Overall good place to stay, rooms were quite quiet (able to hear the trains/traffic, bring earplugs if light sleeper!). Common areas were always full of people though! Huge common fridge and cooking equipment to use, free coffee/tea all day. Able to store luggage before/after check in/check out which was great. Toilet pipe burst one day so had to use restroom on another floor, but no biggie. Location makes up for everything though! 👍🏻

The staff of the hostel is great. The hostel itself is alright, but not for the price they ask. The weekly rate is 329 and when it's during busy holiday's or special events it can go up to 364 per week. These are both prices for a 12 bed dorm which are not backpacker friendly at all! It's way too expensive for what you get.

Do not stay here. 1 star is too high to describe my experience. I booked a room here for the Christmas/New Year Holidays for the 22nd of December and paid for a week. Because of the craziness involved in the Christmas Rush I could not get a train from Sydney until the next day and forgot to change the booking. I showed up and was told that I never had a booking. After some panic, I confirmed the reservation in my email. Turns out, when I didn't arrive for check in they made no attempt to contact me and simply gave my reservation to somebody else - Effectively leaving me stranded in a strange state if it wasn't for the fact that I had contacts here. Too add insult to injury, they straight up lied to me when I arrived at the reception. On the phone they told me that my money was refunded but I am yet to confirm this. In reading these other reviews however, it seems I may have dodged a bullet.

Poorly maintained and managed, unhelpful staff and place was pretty untidy. Website was very misleading and the key cards didn't open the room doors or main entrance doors at all. Beds were disgusting and the place was cramped. Don't come here if you can avoid it. We asked for a refund after not even getting into our room but they were so unhelpful. Waste of time and money

Stayed here and paid for a full week. A few days in I was chatting to people in the hostel that apparently didn’t stay there and it’s against their policy to associate with people that aren’t from the hostel when your in the hostel. Unreasonably reception staff said I had to leave and wouldn’t refund me the days I booked. I was $200 dollars out of pocket, be very careful about staying here, they are robbing from backpackers! Also room keys never work for the rooms. All in all poor business ethics and not an enjoyable experience.

Showers usually don't get hot. Hostel is expensive and fully, noisy all time and all places. Is difficult to sleep or relax. The place that have the place for and with computer is noisy and on the kitchen people drink beer and sometimes don't have place to sit for eat. The elevator is very slow. The staffs are friendly and the room is clean. They put a man over 70 years old on the top floor of the bunk, I thought it was disrespectful!

11 storey monstrosity with 2 slow lifts likely to take you on a tour. I booked a private room here due to the proximity to Flinders Street Station, forgetting how complicated it is to get from there to Southern Cross despite being only one stop. I could have got a room at the same price at two hotels in the area with somewhat lower ratings. Suspect these would have been better for me and others wanting a private room and not wishing to self cater. Room had a fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, milk, heater, towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap dispenser at the sink, but no soap in the shower. Noisy. Main positive: roof top cafe two flights of stairs up from the 11th floor but anyone could walk in and take your bags from the luggage storage racks at reception and there's no toilet in the cafe so not great on the day of departure unless you are travelling light/in a group/have your valuables well-organised. Staff didn't know whether the cafe was open and didn't mention the stairs despite me having just checked out. They also couldn't recommend a (steak) restaurant in the vicinity, suggesting China Town (okay for international tourists perhaps). Other positives: self-catering, large lounge area, book section, snail mail collected and sorted (no security), soft drinks, friendly staff. Vibe didn't seem great but I am older.

I think you got to come here with an open mind. If you’re broke and willing to rough it then this the hostel for you :) I slept in the 18 bed dorm room. I was on a top bunk beside two windows that kept opening in the night because no locks and it was so windy. The noise on the ground from the 8th floor was so loud - they do warn you when you receive your confirmation for your booking that it’s going to be noisy but I didn’t expect it to be REALLY noisy. Trams, screaming drunks outside, it was a party vibe and I also got in around midnight and couldn’t get into the building. Reception is on level 3 so I literally had to wait outside for someone to let me in (not the staff obviously!) the guy who checked me in though was lovely and the wifi was good, didn’t mind that the bathrooms were on other levels, the only thing was the windows and the noise. I might have a couple of flea bites on the hip and butt which yes definitely got from there. Only slept there two nights. Almost booked an Airbnb somewhere else though because of the noise. I like how McDonald’s was close though.

Good things about this hostel: free coffee/tea, excellent central location, and free luggage storage.. Bad things: discrimination on age, i have stayed in hostels all over the world but never ever have i been rejected at check in cause im too old. (Im 37). In europe and the usa or canada this would be not done, hostels is for low budget travellers a chance to see the world. Its not a teenager party zone, but apparently Flinders Backpachers wants to be like that. So after a 28 hour flight i was rejected and had to use all my budget on last minute overpriced hotel rooms and even sleeping on the streets like a homeless man. Big thumbs down for Flinders B, altough the reception lady wasnt even that mean and seemed to feel sorry for me, so its probably a management move to kick out the elderly, my advice if you want to be a discrimination hostel be more clear about it so people will read the rules while booking it.

This place is a replica of what you see on Flinders street daily. The place has been forgotten by its owners. They should put money back into the building. This place You would never book for your Mum & Dad if they were visiting. It does have a big kitchen which allows cooking and it's spacious but it's a horrible horrible place if you compare it to a hostel in Vietnam or Thailand. The private single rooms are bearable for a very short period while you try look for accommodation in Melbourne. All in All this place is putrid, a run down building whose owners operate on greed charging crazy money for despicable accommodation

Spent five days between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, booked a private room so no complain regarding the stay, noise kept to a minimum from the street on the 4th floor. Great customer service as the staff took our first night off the booking when our flight was cancelled. Plenty of bathrooms facilities regularly cleaned, perfect position near train, bus and tram stations, every restaurant and bar you can imagine at your doorstep. Highlight of the stay was the rooftop coffee shop and the best coffee we had in Melbourne, all thanks to Luca. Not only he makes amazing coffee, but he is also kind, full of suggestion and a pleasure to talk to, if you don't go up there to chat with him while sipping his great coffee, you are missing out. Would book again.

Not usually a fan of big hostels like this but the staff both at front desk and cleaning do a really nice job, very friendly and the bathrooms I've used are always clean. The rooftop cafe is super cute and the bar downstairs has fun events and pool. The big open windows right next to beds on the 11th floor seem really unsafe though.

Pros: Aus plug socket, usb port and shelf next to bed. Lots of mirrors and sinks. Rooftop with cafe. Pool table. Great vibes and friendly staff. Cons: Toilets and showers were kinda gross. Shower wasn’t great.

Great hostel. People I met were lovely, the 6 bed mixed rooms are clean and spacious, quiet too so sleep is actually easy to get in there. Location is perfect, train station and trams are right outside. Special thanks to Anna, the Irish girl at reception, she is so welcoming and goes above and beyond what is expected of her. She’s a credit to the team here!

Had a double private room with shared bathroom, room was okay. Bathrooms were terrible, I had no warm water, there were no windows, only little storage spaces, very dirty. Super noisy common areas, the lift always took super long to arrive (about 3-5 minutes) and the stairs only led to level 3.

Pros- bed side light, confy beds, charging ports avaliable, friendly/helpful staff, good social area. Really nice new bathrooms. Cons- lift was really slow, kitchen could sometimes be a little messy,

My sister and I stayed in this hostel long term for over 5 weeks. They told us on tuesday afternoon that they’re going to cancel our reservation and we had to move out on thursday. The reason for kicking us out was that they said in our room is a constant smell and they’re 95% sure it’s us. I’ve explained the situation and told staff member Agate that I store my dirty clothes in my backpack in my locker to reduce smell in the room. Her response was extremely rude because she said I should do my laundry more often. This is just extremely offending as I always did my laundry twice a week while staying in this hostel and tried everything to keep our room clean. What was even more offending and probably because she had no other arguments was that what I’m doing for keeping everything clean is not enough. We wanted to speak with the manager and they told us, he will be around on wednesday afternoon. We wrote an e-Mail to the manager as well that was never answered. All of a sudden when being asked again on wednesday if we can talk with him, he isn’t coming in at all. For me this is just extremely disrespectful behavior and you can’t talk to people like that, who literally pay for the accommodation you’re working for, for weeks! I can’t recommend this hostel at all as they’re extremely unprofessional and messed up a lot of bookings from our friends as well.

Nice, clean room (premium 8-bed) with good free breakfast, would say this hostel isn’t as much a social backpacker hostel and more for people who are working and and rooms without air con are way too hot!

Someone stole my food from the comunal shelf. Food was tagged. No help at all from the staff which is very rude as well. Surprisingly they have cameras all along the hostel but there are no cameras in the places where they should have a look regarding if someone steals something. A lot of rules just to cover themselves but when it comes to help their guests they just wash their hands.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in during my whole traveling experience, and I've been in many, believe me! The facilities, the bathrooms, super clean, but, overall: the staff members! Jeff is a great person that would do it's best to make you feel like home during your stay. I stayed here last August and I was by myself. It's a nice place to meet people, especially if you join the free tour. Common spaces are pretty clean, toilets and rooms too. The kitchen is enough big for everybody but sometimes you may wait a bit. The hostel also provides pasta, rice and tea for free! I highly recommend this place

I stayed here for 2 nights in one of the deluxe 6 bed rooms. The beds are extremely comfortable I must admit, the light, usb, plug & shelf right next to the bed are great. The issue is, I paid for the deluxe room to get air conditioning as it’s very warm in Melbourne right now. There was a sign next to the ac unit saying it would come on when it got to 25 degrees, I can tell you it was well over 25 degrees for the majority of the time I was there & the AC didn’t turn on once. I paid extra literally for this feature & the last night was ridiculously warm, really annoying.

Great location. If you are looking to book this place would recommend that you book at least 1 week in advance. Within the building there is a bar on the first floor which offer discounted drinks for guests. The reception is at 3rd floor and a big open kitchen area where you can cook your own food. For ladies, hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. Only complain is the room smells a bit and it can get very noisy at night even though my room was located at the top floor.

Actual thick mattresses, not the cheap foam ones like cheaper hostels have. Epic location. Rooms are way too small though, I went with a 3 bed running as a 2 bed, figured nobody would be in the other bed since they are at like 20% capacity. Nope. By the time all their stuff was on the floor there wasn't much room for mine. Would probably be better off in a cheaper, larger dorm, they would have a lower per-per-foot rate and room to breathe, kinda ironic. I feel like those rooms should be 1 person max tbh. That's more of an industry problem, trying to eek out every square inch of a room to cram more people in 🤑 Do I recommend? Sorta. You can get a private room for $251 per week right now, if you can afford that, do it, if you can't afford that, don't travel. 😬

  • 1/5 Sam C. 3 years ago on Google
Was kicked out of extending due to an "incident" which involved my request to move dorms as I didn't enjoy waking up the couple when going to bathroom at night and they complained alot. All fine and well, but lost $2000/$2200 in 50s and a $600 pair of Hugo Boss glasses after being rushed out and was given max 45 seconds to look when I requested to go back up.

Excellent service and clean rooms But beware of noise and commotion considering the location is right in the thick of it

Best hostel in the melb CBD by alot. Great facilities, clean rooms and everything is well kept. You're allowed to drink in the common room too unlike another hostel nearby that won't let you so they can sell more expensive drinks at their bar 🙄

Convenient stay, friendly staff, clean facilities, abundant bathrooms, big kitchen/fridge/shelfspace, and welcoming housekeeping staff. Cinema room, pool in the communal area at level 3 with plenty of space to relax. Only on the weekends though, some guests find it hard to sleep because of the bar at levels 1&2 with loud music till the morning. Also, Elizabeth St might not be the best street for everyone to stay or live in. Otherwise, its a good place close to almost everything. Look out for Ovi and Jenne’s daily conversations and housekeeping perks, lovely staff!

Exactly what you'd hope for at a top-quality hostel! Good kitchen (though no ovens or freezer), lots of friendly people, clean, great free breakfast (pancakes, toast, cereal), free pasta and rice. Especially notable for its location, couldn't be in a better spot! Didn't have any issues with the noise on the 9th floor facing the main street. Good windows kept the sound out well.

Overall awesome place to stay! As a wheelchair (manuel) user the place is accessible enough (no specialist bathroom or rooms) but accessible enough that I could get to the bathroom and rooms, just a little squishy but doable! The prices are great, Linen is fresh/clean, bathrooms are clean and well maintained, beds are comfortable! I would definitely reccomended!

Super clean, good experience. Had a double room with no issues. There's a nightclub in the same building, to keep in mind.

I was looking for a place to stay in Melbourne. I wanted to check the place in person first, but they didn't receive anyone without an online booking. Photos and reviews are not enough sometimes...

Staff are super polite, really good vibe and really good value for money, would definitely recommend!

Loved my stay at Flinders Backpackers. Clean rooms and facilities in an incredible spot. Walking distance to many of the CBDs tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Made a online booking after ringing to ask about my ID. Iv only got a working with children check an a Victorian firearms licence which is both photo ID when I rang the girl at the desk she said it would be fine to use. When I got there I was told I couldn't stay because I didn't have unuff ID. They need to make up there minds

One of the better backpackers In melbourne, it’s clean and the staff are friendly

  • 2/5 Nat L. 1 year ago on Google
Don't stay here on Fridays/Saturdays if you're wanting to get sleep. I wish I'd been warned in the booking page but hindsight I could've done more research into reviews. The pub downstairs is open until 5am and you can feel the bass vibrating the walls and your beds. I had stayed at other backpackers in Melbourne but never experienced noise issues as bad as Flinders. Other than that the room I rented was clean and everything stated was provided. Just wouldn't stay here again as it's impossible to get sleep.

There’s so loud because of the location and other customers. If you book female dorm 1010, there is a crazy long-stay girl. She keeps talking with her friend until 4am and other friends visited many time during all the night. Then at 5am, people who came back from a club or something and loudly talked in the corridor, and the voices are directly hear in the room. There is free breakfast and good atmosphere, but part of customers so crazy and noisy.

Very clean and well organised hostel. One of the cleanest I have ever been in. I think the free breakfast is such a nice touch, it is basic but really appreciated for those of us on a low budget. Beds are comfortable, the only complaint I have is the showers not being that warm, saying that I managed to grab a hot one this morning. Amazing location and great price. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Staff are lovely too!

Pros: ● Great location - very central, and trams are just outside. ● Friendly staff. ● The private bedroom was in-fact private - it also had multiple bedside power points. ● The bar on Level 1 is good fun and absolutely goes off! ~Unfortunately, everything else about my stay here was rather disappointing~ Cons: ● The whole building inside just gives off a very dull and out-dated vibe. I'm telling you that you need a renovation in this joint - it's terribly depressing. Please look to places like Space Hotel on Russell St, who offer amazing modern facilities. ● The window in my room seemed rather broken, and difficult to manipulate into position, so I had cold air leaking in, and the noise as well. ● The communal toilets didn't flush, unless you held the lever down a certain way - so, often there was leftover poo from others. ● The communal toilet stalls / doors are absolutely covered in graffiti, and it's disgusting to look at - I paid over $100/night to stay in a place covered in graffiti!!! ● None of the showers on Level 9 had hot water. Legit did not have a hot shower the entire 3 nights I was there. Again, I paid over $100/night to stay in a place that didn't even have hot water running to its showers! ● There wasn't even any soaps, or shampoos provided. They gave me a towel and a cold shower. ● They claim that 'breakfast' is served every morning, when really it's just a choice of 2 cereals - no joke; that's it.

This is one of the few hostels on Melbourne that are clean AND affordable. If you're sensitively to noise make sure to bring earplugs though, as the hostel is right in the CBD and close to the train station. You'll be hard pressed to find a clean, affordable and quiet hostel in a good location though; something has to give in this case it's street noise. With free breakfast (pancakes, variety of cereal and toast with lots of spreads), movie room and big common area as well as good customer service, this is the best hostel I've been to in Melbourne. If you're staying a week or longer ask for weekly rates.

Great location, affordable prices and clean amenities/ rooms. Stayed in the dorms on level 11 and they were great. The common area on level 3 was a bit dull and lack lustre however compared to some other hostels I have been to. The hostel needs some more life and colour. There also isn’t any areas to chill other than dining room which is disappointing. The dorm rooms have a locker but you need to get your own lock. Similar to the towel hires, as a suggestion - why don’t you provide locks for hire too? Could you also run more social events (like the movie night) during the week for hostel residents to meet new people? The room swipe card also kept not working even when it was near the phone - can alternative key methods be looked at so we don’t need to keep visiting reception whenever we get locked out?

Amazing hostel right in the city center! I literally enjoyed walking back each single time because the street it is on is full of exciting restaurants and people. Really nice staff who are very friendly and accommodating and rooms on up to 11 levels. Definitely stay there if you can!

  • 4/5 Jo S. 1 year ago on Google
Comfortable hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Very safe and comes with linen and towels. Choose a high room to avoid street noise though it is bearable. Lost a star because only half the toilets and showers were working and would be easy work for a plumber to come and fix.

Flinders Backpackers is a fantastic Backpackers hotel - with the freedom to choose between dorms and private rooms it's there to suit anyone. The staff & service were fantastic, the prices were good, and all round it was an enjoyable time. Unfortunately the reviews are right in saying that the hot water in the showers is a problem. Even with the tap water turned fully only on hot it changes between cold and warm at best.

  • 2/5 James W. 1 year ago on Google
The key card system is awful and needs replacing, your card will stop working multiple times leaving you locked out of your room and the toilets until reception fix it. The lifts and toilets are also pretty poor. To balance it out it a bit all the staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Try to get the cheapest room, not worth the difference in paying a superior one. Paid for a superior room which are located in the 11th floor, one of the elevators is not working (and there’s too many people for only one elevator), the showers were out of order and had to go one floor downstairs to use the showers (no need to mention that were very dirty and not matching the price paid as 11th floor are renewed).

Pretty good place, clean and well maintained. Only downer is there isn't any hostel events for meeting others but there are movie rooms, pool tables etc. Met some cool people here still. Central location.

Really nice backpackers. Nice staff, busy in a good way, good roommate :) I hope the female shower works more properly but I'm already satisfied more than enough.

After having travelled almost all around Australia, I can say that This is a perfect hostel for Backpackers or even for families. Super Location, I swear, you can not find better in Melbourne. Surrounded by Railway Station, Tram Terminus, Shopping Malls, Eating Joints, Restaurants and on most lively street of City right at Yarra River waterfront, Casino, City Iconic places, Town Hall, Parliament House on foot walk. About hostel, it has wonderful service, 24 hours Reception open, wait for check-in while relaxing in lounge, sipping tea and playing chess. After checkout use storage kitchen till you leave. A Spacious Kitchen with a big cold storage room makes it worth appreciation. Room rent is budget friendly. You have free wi-fi, Tea Coffee. Kitchen is well equipped with sufficient crockery and utensils Water Boiler, in order equipment like Microwaves, Hot Plates, Ovens, Toasters etc. Most impressive was cleanliness in Wash Rooms, Top Floor Restaurant and Location. I recommend this property over a star hotel for every visitor to Melbourne who want to feel easy.

Two-person private room. Not so noise isolated room. Short bed, but not a problem. High value for money.

Good location. Close to transpo and lots of food options. Elevator was slow but right next to it are the stairs lol. We booked the separate room with no ensuite and it was decent sized and clean. They even provided a heater. I do wish toilets are cleaned more frequently though. Some people didn't know how to use the flush properly. I also loved the fact that we can leave our luggage after check out, although it didn't feel super safe with everyone coming and going. Overall, I was satisfied and will stay again for just a night or two.

good stay but so loud especially when it was the grand final on Saturday and there was hepps of loud pelope outside and I am not sure but I think there is a pub next to the place and the people at the pub was so loud in the night as well.

The employees are good, but the people staying there are disgusting, filthy people, you can't even sleep at night. Also, the kitchen smells very bad.

  • 2/5 Eszter O. 6 months ago on Google
Please add railings onto the side of the top bunk beds! There’s currently none and I feel really unsafe sleeping on the top (of course no other beds were available as the bottom ones were all taken). I feel very scared and unsafe that I will turn and fall down in my sleep and it could be fatal or could paralyse someone for life. It’s very dangerous. I’ve paid $50 to stay at a dorm room for one night with 6 other people and I don’t dare close my eyes and sleep, I’m actually considering probably pulling an all-nighter because I don’t dare to fall asleep and I am really sleep-deprived and would need sleep. Please solve this issue ASAP!!!

Showers are freezing every single day…doesnt matter what time of day you go theyre always cold. super busy and very young crowd, would recommend another hostel if you’re over 25 . Staff is super nice though and the location is nice

Stayed there and members of staff were nothing but rude. The staff even stole me shoes witnessed by room mates and offered me no reimbursement and smiled in my face whilst telling me nothing to do. Absolutely shocking and stay well clear of this hostel. No point speaking to staff because they’re pathetic

MICE IN THE PIECES, TERRIBLE ORGANIZATION, INDIFFERENCE AND LIES IN PRICES We stayed in this place for 5 days. the very high prices. unhealthy kitchens. elevators always bad. A mouse appeared in the room which did not stop running in the room. We asked them to do something and they changed our room for the same price (or so they told us,Plus we had to move all our things 3 floors at 1 am ) We had to pay for one more night but they raised the price by 60 dollars and our previous room was no longer available. they robbed us with the price We are still here completely dissatisfied with the service. all we want is to get out of here

The place is dirty, there is a lot of noise all the time, people are disrespectful. My partner and I stayed there because we didn’t have another option in that moment, and we found a mouse inside of the room walking everywhere at 1am on Wednesday (we study early). The receptionists saw the mouse so they found another room but it was more expensive and of course they charged us the extra price, even when it wasn’t our fault to find a rodent, we needed to move all our stuff at that time and pay extra. Also, the shared bathrooms were always out of order.
