This place is for those peoples who loves archeological spot.This wood became stone and just think that how many human generations and extinct species have been witnessed by this special tree. It is very well taken care by College authority.Security is very tight at the main gate as this belongs to IIT Dhanbad and no outsider is allowed here without prior permission.

A calm and beautiful place away from the city. The locals aren't allowed in here and only the people living in the campus,like ISM students and the families living in the campus have access. During winter the place is surrounded by beautiful flowers which are a sight to behold.

One of fabulous example of fossilization. Located just in front of Department of Applied Geology and mining Geology, ISM Dhanbad, Petrified wood is the name given to a special type of fossilized remains of terrestrial vegetation. It is the result of a tree or tree-like plants having completely transitioned to stone by the process of permineralization.

Located in the heart of IIT ISM campus, this is the place where you can enjoy the beauty of garden. It can be accessed by college students. Students can hangout here during break period. Visit timings : 8AM to 5PM. It's the best place to hangout during winter.

Petrified wood is one of the best place of IIT(ISM),Dhanbad. This is the centre point of oval garden which is located in front of heritage building. This place include more than 1000 variety of flowers 🌺. IIT ISM is also written here with flowers. Oval garden is open exclusively for the students of the institution. This place is not public place.

Located in front of the Heritage building in the Oval garden. Great place for meditation and sitting peacefully specially in the afternoon.
