On June 25, 2022, I had a very pleasurable stay at the Quality Inn Halifax Airport Hotel.  The room was clean and quiet; the restaurant food was delicious and reasonably-priced.  The staff was efficient and pleasant.  I needed to get to the airport by 5 am this morning: the shuttle (no charge to guests)was on time.  As well, since I left too early to access the provided breakfast, I was told at check-in to request a bag breakfast!  Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are good enough to sleep in and get by. They seemed clean. Staff was nice and helpful. It's one of those places where the closer you look, the more the cracks begin to show. Both literally and figuratively. But if you just need a place to crash that's near the airport. This is one of them. Great price for a good reason. Oh and don't look out back at the pool...

Arrived to what we thought was a very nice room. And it would have been too, (problem #1) had the bathroom plug been working properly!! Pushed it down to hold water in basin.....stuck there for good!! A staff member tried to solve problem. To no avail. (problem #2)!! Looking forward to a hot coffee. Put pod into the coffee machine. Gurgling and spluttering... empty, no water. Almost burnt myself badly when trying to fill the machine with a paper cup. Gave up and went without. Should have had water refilled after previous use. (problem #3) No power working from 2 wall connections. No where to safely plug our cell phone or tablets without removing hotel appliances so we could use them. Wifi was poor. Bad reception. Kept cutting on and off. Service and assistance was down to a minimum. No one seemed to want to help. Disappointed 😞 because we were not expecting such lack of interest as a whole. Fortunately our meals at the Restaurant were nice 👍 and the staff very efficient and friendly. I flew out next morning to the other side of the world 🌍.

The hotel is close to the Halifax Airport and that is the is the only positive that I found. Restaurant has limited selection but a friendly staff. Hotel; Large Rooms that are aged with Cooling system that are a challenge. A lot of reviews note this issue. The $100 deposit is a surprise at check-in. Seems odd when you they already have a card on file for the room. Careful of this as I got a surprise the next day when my card had been charged additional fees without my authorization. The head office agrees with the charge being bogus but leave you at the mercy of the location with a General Manager that is not available or return calls. I would not recommend this location and have concerns with the whole chain with there policy. Made my 3rd call in 2 weeks with no return contact so I write this cautionary review. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK

Just off highway close to the airport. Very old facility. Ceiling of one of the rooms I stayed in was falling off, all pipes were exposed. Changed to another room where there are yellow water staining on the ceiling. All the lights in the rooms were rustic and can't be turned on or off easily. The receptacles were barely up to standard and chargers kept falling out with bad connections.

Great location if you are traveling out of the Halifax Airport. With one night's stay, you can park your car for up to two weeks. There is a shuttle that runs back and forth between the hotel and the airport. It was very convenient and easy to catch the scheduled shuttle to the airport. When returning, the shuttle is on demand, you simply use the phone outside of the baggage claim and request the shuttle to pick you up. The driver brought me right to my car, which saved me from lugging my suitcases after a long, exhausting day of travel! The room was very spacious. It took some time to get checked in, they were quite busy. The restaurant was very good, fast service, brought right to the room!

Clean room, hallway carpet needs shampooing, free continental breakfast was good, lots to choose from. On site restaurant was good, pizza and soup very good. Staff great. Location near Halifax airport great. We used the shuttle back and forth to airport. There is a really good old airplane museum right next door. Wow, it has really old planes in there. By donation. There is a race track next door, Friday nights only ( seasonal also ).

Okay hotel. Convenient for the location but the website says there is a indoor heated pool and hot tub, which there isn’t. The outdoor pool has been waiting for a filter for 2 months now apparently. Rooms are below par. The only reason it gets a two star is the bed is confortable. Food at restaurant isn’t that great either.

Drove from another city; very appreciative of the shuttle service and parking area. The restaurant/bar was well decorated for November with a heavy christmas theme; lovely decor in the lobby area. The rooms themselves were acceptable with dissapointing showers. Although i didn't use them, the indoor and outdoor pool were nice, but basic; the gym was small (smaller than a hotel room) and very basic. All in all, fair for a night.

Awesome location if you're going to the airport. The shuttle to the airport is super convenient. The driver was helpful and kind.. also helped us find our car when we arrived back from our trip. The restaurant is good, cute inside too. I definately recommend.

On check-in we were not advised on any of the amenities (wifi, games room, breakfast time, ice, pool etc). The deposit: We were also not told that the deposit would not be refunded for 3-5 business days. Also the deposit was not a separate charge from the hotel room, it was lumped in with the charges. there is also nothing to indicate the 3-5 days on the website. This could and should be an instant refund. Room Amenities: the website indicated a microwave was in the room. We did not have one in our room, nor did I see any in the area of the breakfast nook. Room facilities: the toilet was small, and we barely fit on it. Bathroom was also small and cramped. The tub was extremely shallow. Breakfast: the breakfast was actually the best part of our stay. While it did lack some things ( like hash browns or potatoes) overall the spread was very nice, and the food was good. Overall cost: 381.00 for 2 nights. For a hotel with limited amenities, a small room, (2 queen sized beds and a few furniture pieces mostly filled it) I don’t feel the value was worth it. We stayed here as a close to home getaway, and it fell short.

Mold throughout the bathroom, ceiling, tub corners, floor tiles, behind toilet and on the grab bar. Rusted, degraded fire sprinkler, walls unfinished, drywall mud patches unsanded and dead flies in lights over sink and toilet. For $216 per night, I would look for a different hotel to stay. Only stay here as convenient location to the airport. Sheets wrinkled and appear not to have been out in the dryer in time. Corners on walls banged up. Rough and felt dirty. Tub chipped and looks like covered with ink out. Clear caulking used over mold.

Giving 1/5 stars, only because giving zero is not an option. This hotel was revolting. Took one look at the room and told staff we were leaving as it was unfit… it was entirely unsanitary. Without being too graphic, there were various bodily fluids in several areas of the room. They apologized on site (staff upon check in and even while leaving were fantastic to deal with), and assured us we wouldn’t be charged. Instead, we were charged 3 days later and have been dealing with that ever since. Told from a manager on duty when we called “you’re not guaranteed a clean room” and that we would be contacted back within a day. That was 5 days ago, we haven’t heard back yet.

Reviews here are mixed but everyone has a different experience. Was quiet even being on the same level near the lobby. Room 222. Looking past the dents and scuff marks on a wall, the room was clean. I could see a few marks around the seal on the tub but it wasn't barely noticable. It is strange having a separation between toilet and tub and sink but no real complaints because I stayed in hotels like this before. Bed was big and comfy obviously because I was in the king room. I see some reviews of people saying the plug sockets don't work. They probably talking about the one the lamp nearest the window (double rooms not sure), but if the light switch is off then lamp won't turn on nor will the plug work. But when you turn the light switch to on, the plug will work but manually turn off the lamp if you want to use the plug without light. The light switch was located next to the one that controls the sink area light. I also see reviews about bugs in the rooms. I have noticed there is traps behind the dresser when I took a seat on the chair in the corner so that might be helping with the bug issue. But I had no problems. I used points and wasn't disappointed. The hotel is undergoing renovations but too soon to tell what the hotel will be like when all set and done. Shuttle to the airport was convenient. Runs on the 15 and 45 minute to the hour mark. Arrive about 10 minutes in the lobby before so you don't miss it because it will leave exactly on the dot. The restaurant is also convenient.

Very clean rooms. Very kind and welcoming staff. Airport shuttle was great. Free breakfast was great lots of options. The COMFIEST hotel beds I’ve ever slept in!! The location has nothing around it to walk to which kind of sucks but it’s nice being by the airport. Free parking. Overall great place and we would come back.

The location is great, minutes from the Airport and a great shuttle system. The staff are friendly and welcoming and work very hard! The hotel itself is less spectacular. We stayed in 2 rooms over the past week and both featured wall plugs that didn't work, uncomfortable beds and beaten up showers that need upgrading. There is also a lot of early morning noise, at least on the 1st floor. Ok for a quick stay if you don't mind the above.

Somewhat dated... likely 40+yrs, but it has what you need. What's nice is the on-site restaurant, The Hidden Gem, which serves very good food and has pleasant service. The complimentary breakfast is served in a separate section of the restaurant and was very basic. Meets your needs. Didn't visit the pool.

Honestly, I hate hard floors in hotels...especially with bare feet. You can feel every little speck of dirt or dust on your feet! Yuck. Beds were comfy and clean. Bathroom was clean. Swimming pool was actually pretty awesome but fairly deep so not great for toddlers. We still had hours of fun there! The restaurant was not really a Gem. The food was average but the service was garbage. Yes, the girl was new and it was her first day but she didn't get our order right and we had to remind her to get our drinks. She ended up taking one of the items off the menu to make up for it so that was ok. Hopefully the service is better by now.

Stayed May 24 long weekend. Came from Ontario Emily Ann & Bruce @ the front desk made sure everything went perfectly 🥰 The house keeper manager also did a great job checking on us during the stay. Best hotel experience we have had in awhile 😃 😊 😀

Burger and fries from the onsite restaurant was tasty. Burger was a little on the dry side but I like that. Waitress was attentive. Hotel was an odd mix of decor. The lobby had painted marble on the walls. It felt like they were trying to look luxurious but on a budget. The room was a little outdated, bed was a little hard but had an okay sleep. Location for access to the airport was convenient. They offer free shuttle to the airport which we didn't need as we rented a car. All in all it was an okay stay.

Dated hotel however one of the only options. They are doing renovations as of August 2023. Beds are comfortable and free shuttle to get to the airport. Happy the restaurant/bar was open till 1am. Food was decent but then again it was the only option.

Very rude customer service. We arrived at 11am and requested to check in earlier but they rudely refused that check in is at 3 pm. We came back at 3 pm and one room was ready but the other one was not. The room that was ready smelled weird so we asked them to spray room freshener or something but the guy just said rudely “I can’t give you another room this building is old so it will smell like this” I did not even ask for another room and this was the response. Now coming back to second room it was not ready till I waited and waited and asked after 40 mins the answer given was “oh our shift just changed so we don’t know what the previous person did”. I mean really ? Isn’t there a process that they should share info or update system. Very rude customer service. Rooms are very old and smells bad. Definitely not going back.

Nice updated rooms, free breakfast🙂 The heated indoor swimming pool wasn't very warm, and the lower floor hallways had a funky smell. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. I loved the complimentary fresh coffee 24/7

Booked a room after a long flight with my hubby. The lady at the desk was friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious enough for a dance floor as my hubby said. The room was nicely renovated and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and had a wonderful sleep. Everything else was fine. Just be aware that there's $100 deposit on your credit card.

The hotel is a bit tired, but with the traffic it sees it is to be expected. Check in was quick, all our accommodation requests were satisfied, and a friendly shuttle driver took us to the airport for our early morning flight. The restaurant inside the hotel is excellent, the Hidden Gem is indeed a gem. We will use this hotel again in the future.

Staff is nice friendly and helpful. This is a older worn budget hotel, our beds were clean and ok comfy, we did one late night incoming, then re-booked our outgoing night at another chain. Parking was easy. Close to airport but you need to exit the hwy to get onto a back access road. Or you will drive by it. Hot tub was boarded over, outside pool was empty and it's fence was being worked on. Inside pool wasn't that inviting. Apples in lobby, shuttle runs all the time. Breakfast was okay. Toast, bacon, yogurt, pastries, etc. usual hotel fare. Place was pretty busy.

Spent one day here as we left Halifax. Very close to the airport, about 5 minutes, hotel has free airport shuttle! Our room was big. Bathroom was a weird set up: toilet and bathtub in one room, while the sink and mirror was in the closet. Not idea when you brush your teeth when your clothes are. Hotel restaurant opens until 1am, basic food - burgers, fish and chips, soups and salad. Everything was fresh, but okay Breakfast (buffet style) in the morning - sausage, eggs, bacon, the usual stuff. Check in and out we’re friendly, no problems at all. The day we left, we asked for a extra 30 minutes late check out. They accommodated with no extra charge or issue.

Stayed for one night before heading off to explore NS. Staff were very efficient. The price was very good. A good choice for the free breakfast. The room was quite large and has a bar fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bed was really comfortable. The decor looked a bit tired and could have done with some attention and some fresh paint. The bathroom door was really squeaky which was annoying in the middle of the night. Just one thing to note, there is a door for the shower and toilet but on the other side of the entryway is the sink and that has no door. If you are sharing with someone other than a partner, there is no privacy when washing.

First night in Canada and staying here made me think that Canadians being really nice wasn’t just a stereotype. It was 2am when I arrived and they were almost uncomfortably nice, it would make you think it was like 2 pm and it was the Ritz not just some airport Quality Inn. Also 24hr free shuttle to and from airport is huge perk. Complementary hot breakfast too and super clean. Would recommend!

Relatively clean room but the actual ambiance/ the hotel grounds was unkempt. Our first impressions were not good. I said to my parents, "I really hope the rooms are clean because this doesn't look good." I was relieved that the room was pretty clean; but room was barely wide enough for the trolley. The bathroom was tiny and had untouched cracks/chips in the tub area. The breakfast left much to be desired. I am happy we only stayed for one night.

Pool was broken, hotel was understaff and they just take advantage that is not availability around to charge $150 for a room that anywhere else in the world will be $50. Anyway, offer vs demand plays again. Good for a night, bad for multiple days stays. Avoid if you have other options.
