My wife and I visited for a short break and we had an arrangement where we could bring the dog as well. It's a huge hotel campus that took me by surprise. There were 3 "Wings" which had alot of rooms. Our room was a great size which was on the ground floor at the back was a car park that made it easy to unload and load the car. The location was great, hotel was well equipped. We were even able to hire E-Choppers which we really enjoyed riding. We will definitely come back for other stays !!!

Great 12 day stay. Room very comfortable and you can’t hear any traffic. There was a fridge in my room - very handy. Gym was well equipped. The staff were always very polite and helpful. Food in the restaurant was great - breakfast and dinners. Breakfast buffet was a little expensive - but it had lots included. Overall a really good stay, and would book again if in the area.

We had a great room here, well kept and great staff, great food both roomservice and in the restaurant. A bit sad our room smelled like a smoker was there last visit, sadly nothing staff can do about that.

Very nice hotel! The staff is amazingly friendly, very clean rooms, very nice food and drinks. It is well located close to the high way, though the area itself is not the nicest (looks and feels a bit like an industry park due to the large parking). But overall an amazing experience!

Room standard: 5/5 Fast check-in: 5/5 Quiet rooms: 4/5 Breakfast buffet: 4/5 The place has a luxurious mountain lodge feeling to it - I felt as if I was transported out of the Netherlands. Except for the rooms - these were rather standard in terms of interior. Breakfast buffet had a great selection of bread and buns, different types of granola, smoothies as well as some regular hotel breakfast products (cheese, ham, egg). I'm a frequent traveller, so I have extremely high expectations when it comes to hotels. This one definitely hits the mark.

Room is great in the superior wing, soap etc in the bathroom really nice, beds very good to sleep on. Breakfast was good, but comparing to other vdv restaurants it was a 6 out of 10. Staff is not happy there and you notice by the poor way they give service. Some really do their best and smile. Price for breakfast is good, think they changed it (read about it in other reviews). Breda is close and a great city!

The hotel also has EV chargers outside. We charged our Tesla overnight amounting to 30 euros which was pretty good. The inhouse restaurant also provides good dining options if you do not want to go out.

Room doesn't get hot despite the radiator being on max setting. The water in the shower is not hot. The water out of my colleagues bathtub was yellow. A mouse was running around the restaurant. But still a passable hotel if you need a night.

Rooms are perfect and great service. People were very friendly and breakfast was really good. Will be visiting again soon !!

Rooms ok, but the wellnesgarden sometimes more dance club tben relax. The music personal likes very loud and other songs normal. Reception ok,. But food very bad. Don' t eat there!!! Limp and cold chips, overkooked fish, under cooked vegetables, better, it was raw and almost cold. Service terras sometimes ok, an Ukrain guy, very nice. The other time unfriendly. Closing part of terras round 17.00. On a very sunny day. But you may sit down at part terras in full sun. Very uncomfortable and unfriendly. For me last visit here.

Three day stay on our way to Germany. Part work and part vacation experience planned in the Netherlands. The staff are helpful and friendly. The main restaurant generally requires a reservation. Otherwise, you can order at one of the tables outside the main entrance to the restaurant. Just sit down on the large couch area or at one of the long table areas, and someone will come to you eventually. I do suggest never to be in a hurry here. It's laid back back, and service is not rushed. I must let you know that as an American, this was different, and yet it helped me remember that this is a vacation for me.

Although a bit out of the way this is a great hotel. Quality rooms and great walkability to nearby town. Good bus service to everywhere else and the train. Very convenient to the Tesla facilities.

There are entire areas of the hotel that are not heated (and were very cold) and where have to pass by several times per day to go from the rooms to the hotel facilities such as front desk, restaurants and pools. Main Restaurant has a very slow service and the options of the three course menu are very limited (offering bread and butter as starter option and coffee or tea as desert options seems unreasonable). There were unpleasant odours (sewer) in several areas of the hotel. Swimming pool area is very nice. Rooms are also nice. Staff is friendly.

From check in to check out we were very happy with our stay. Staff very friendly and attended to our needs, even opened up the bowling alley for us at 10am! The facilities were great, as previously mentioned the bowling alley and the outdoor spa pool was a perfect way to relax during the day with cocktails. Food served at breakfast, lunch and dinner was of an excellent standard for produce and cooking. Very friendly waiting staff. The self service convenience store at reception for snacks and drinks was great, and if you couldn’t be bothered with the wall, there is 24 hour room service! We would definitely return to this hotel and we highly recommend it! Faultless

One night stay for the Awakenings festival. From the moment of booking, the service is personalised. They contact you to see whether they can assist you with anything. I have emailed their reception several times, and the response time is remarkably rapid. The hotel itself surprised me positively. As a cherry on top, the shower and water pressure are of the highest quality. The receptionists are also very pleasant/friendly. Thank you for making this stay enjoyable. Will return. Great property. Very family friendly and the staff are very helpful. If you have kids, it's perfect as there's a play area 2 mins away. They can play while you can relax. Recommended for a weekend stay

One of the best hotels i've stayed at. Relaxed atnosphere with a great classy of privacy and service when needed. I book this hotel very often for these reasons.

Could be fantastic. Second time I’ve stayed, regularly here for work, need easy convenient supportive help. Restaurant food is actually excellent but service and ambience of areas utilized is lacking. (Server in restaurant was great). Rooms are great, beds are good, lighting good & switches convenient, no usb ports, lack of bar soap and peripherals lacking. Bath/shower/hair facilities @ spa bath real pain have to get this from shower in cup to use, spoils a fab facility. Air con is uncontrollable you cannot set temp just fan speed (although does seem to cool), first time I got support - they said this was odd/not normal, but second room the same. Only mirror with decent lighting is behind huge sink unit so difficult to use. It is a busy hotel with noisiness from surrounding rooms on balconies etc, that’s expected but need to consider for light sleepers. My room although made up on day two was sloppy bed messy & bath not cleaned. I requested any room above ground floor & got ground floor & French door unlocked so check that as serious safety issue. We arrived at 10pm told no food other than pizza from foyer shop, went through & food (snacks) available. 2nd night told off for not booking restaurant, (wasn’t told to) and reluctantly given corridor type table, when lots were available within service area? 3rd night wanted to sit outside (30 degrees) @ 9 pm to have a drink, told “no”, asked about garden behind restaurant, told “no”, asked about bar - told closed, so forced to sit in corridor type seating - not welcoming of what we wanted. I appreciate the hotel may not be full and resource light but this was a real shame and appeared to be focused on the convenience of staff rather than the delight of customers. They charge up front, not don't enable credit charging, or ask whether you want it, so each time you have to pay or use reception, breakfasts, drinks etc - not joined up on efficiency. Foyer shop is great, very handy. Breakfast is great but as noted by others very expensive.

Staff is nice and attentive. The restaurant is excellent, especially the steak on rock. However, make sure to get bottled water beforehand or else you are going to pay 3 Euro a bottle. Also, make sure you do not stay in the main wing where it felt like I sleep at a retail store front. The windows are you wall, and the door was also glass with some reflective films apply. However, in high contrast situation (e.g. night time) one can easily look through and spot what you are doing at the desk, or what was left at the desk. The bathroom of my room smelt like sewage, even though it actually is a pretty nice bathroom.

I rarely leave negative feedbacks unless it is something outrageous like this stay. First of all, I stayed in a hotel because of my business trip. It was mentioned in a registration form + I informed about it on the reception desk (and told that I would need a business invoice). I was asked if I prefer to pay with a debit or credit card and on my question “are there any difference?” I got an answer “no, whatever you prefer, there is no difference”. So I paid with the debit card and it was a mistake. In 1 hour I had a dinner and after it requested a business invoice. A waiter told that they don’t provide with the business invoices and I was surprised — it’s the biggest hotel chain in The Netherlands. How is it possible? It took 20 minutes to arrange the business invoice, I received it in an envelope and opened only the next day. In a very rude tone I was told that I must have left my credit card data instead of the debit and informed about the need for getting the invoices on the reception desk (although I had done it). The next day the situation repeated, but it took me to talk to 5(!!!) different people during 25 minutes in order to get the business invoice again… and they didn’t include VAT in it. I checked the invoice from the previous date… and they didn’t write down my company details. I decided not to ask for the business invoice for the third time. I complained about it to my colleague that used to stay in other locations of the hotel chain and she told she had never had any issues with the business invoices in the restaurants of the Van der Valk hotels. The room where I stayed in a superior wing was dusty, no one cleaned the surfaces from the dust. Bath drain was broken and didn’t work. The bed consisted of 2 mattresses of different density covered with a topper. One of the mattresses was that soft that I was literally flopping in it. Very uncomfortable. This morning I left a room and went down for breakfast. I wanted to use an elevator and it was a horrible mess in there (you can see it on the attached picture). I informed the receptionist about it. In 35 minutes I came back and no one even haven’t started to clean it by that time. An elevator was that dirty that I couldn’t come in and had to carry a suitcase myself via the stairs. My colleague complained about the noise in her wing. Construction workers started working loudly at 7 am today and it’s Saturday! I saw negative reviews about the same problem 2 months ago and van de valk apologised and told that they will fix the problem. 2 months later the problem is still there. Very poor quality, bad customer service, doesn’t worth its money.

Amazing place with wellness bowling casino and restaurant! It’s a perfect place for everyone! Not only for long stay but also to enjoy 1 day off!

The room we had booked, were as expected. Beautiful designed with all the facilities you need in a proper hotel. The hotel's service must improve. Also in terms of the information they provide online regarding their rooms. Overall, a nice hotel to stay over for the weekend.

We stayed here for two nights for the Valentine’s day and enjoyed it a lot. Very clean and strict about the protocols against Corona! Still you could pick up your breakfast (buffet) and order some food from the restaurant! The menu for the food was a bit limited but super delicious. They also had a special menu for the Valentine’s Day. The prices were also very reasonable. Very beautiful design in the lobby and the room. Clean whirlpool tub!The sauna was a bit small! Very beautiful view and nice staff!

Great hotel, stayed here during a conference. Rooms are spacious, clean and up to date. Rooms are equipped with AC which is not common in the Netherlands. The restaurant had a diverse menu with awesome quality food. Will book here again

Awesome! Only has one incident with one of the restaurant managers. She was so rude I was actually shocked. But other than her, my 3 weeks stay was excellent. Shoutout to restaurant manager Peter for being absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly, and funny!

A very nice location, the hotel is well looked after and clean, there are lots of facilities, the food is nice, and the staff are very friendly. The woods behind the hotel are also lovely to walk through.

We've been to a lot of hotels and to be honest this hotel has better service than that found in 5 star resorts in the Netherlands. We visited with a young baby and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The hotel is spacious with free parking, large modern rooms and an excellent wellness center. My wife had a Thai massage which was excellent, and a floating experience which also was very relaxing. The restaurant offers amazingly delicious food in generous portions, the breakfast is classic continental supplemented with local classics. Dairy free alternatives are available at breakfast. We will definitely return to explore the nature nearby the hotel. It was simply delightful!

Easy charging for Tesla - good food and friendly service. Even though students didn't were up to date about all products on the menu; especially plant based ones.

Food in the restaurant was really excellent. Rooms a bit weird with an open shower and there was a window that couldn't be closed so it was a bit cold and noisy from outside.

Sunday lunch was disappointing. Very limited choice for kids and rude waiter when I asked some things about it. He said that the menu has more choice for kids now than in the past, but in the past there was always something our kids liked. Now there is bread or french fries for kids. Food was good, but it couldn't compensation for the negative atmosphere the waiter created.

Stopped for lunch: good service and reasonable food: the chicken & quinoa salad needed to lose the chicken for the vegan who just got an extra blob of quinoa. Not impressive. Service is impeccable.

Beautiful hotel...lovely setting and great for a getaway. The rooms are amazing and the decor is modern.

The rooms were old, blunt and boring. Having a small tv for a big room as suit. The jacuzzi is old and used for centuries! Nothng updated no colours , old carpet! Not a fresh look… it’s simple not value for the money they ask for the suite rooms I paid 500€ for two nights and it was a big disappointment! Never ever again!

Had dinner at Van der Valk Hotel Gilze-Tilburg, compared to all other Van der Valk restaurants this is updated but it still brings back memories of the old days. Waiter was too quick with presenting the bill, wasn't able to provide a tip. Noisy restaurant, can be crowded and difficult to park on-site.

Rooms are very nice and quiet. Best feature of this hotel is the heated outdoor pool/jacuzzi. Reception and staff was very friendly. Restaurant looks great but food served during live cooking is not the same quality as other Valk hotels. Might have been because of the holiday weekend; but there were many (many) children running around the restaurant and it was way too busy. Breakfast was rather small with cold pancakes.

The rooms are nice, also spa service is great. Breakfast was good. And in case the night bar is closed, you can still get selfservice booze. Only going any where with a taxi is very expensive, as they need to come from Tilburg, which they include in the fare price

Stayed here for a long weekend in whirlpool room(bubble machine doesnt work,not that we need it). Checked in at 13pm n got our room ready. Location is great,in the nature area. Restaurant food is good, room cleanliness can be better.

Stayed for 1 night but no complaints. I booked the spa wellness adults only room which had all the facilities you need. Bed was very good and hot tub for 2 persons too. For sure I’ll come back
