A pleasant beach with several access points, surfing and swimming areas, and patrolling life guards. Dogs are allowed on leash on the beach, but at least 200m away from the flagged swimming areas.

Great beach, although my brother got stuck in a gutter in the water (he is alright now). Also stung by bluebottles twice here.

Not too crowded. Beautiful view, with animals that are friendly. Magnificent shells. Waves are a ton of fun. Lifeguards are on the alert no matter what. Lots of time to splash around and make sand castles!

It’s a great place to go for a walk on the weekends, and you can also catch PP.

Broadbeach is easily accessible via car or public transport. The beach is clean and there are many cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Lovely beach. Full of hoiday goers, may not be suitable for those liking privacy or serenity.

Our day trip to the Gold Coast was the classic "tourist experience". We were pleasantly surprised at how the area has changed. Broadbeach Boulevard was interesting to walk along. The beaches have dune plantings now and the nature strips have been landscaped. The Gold Coast is still a little quirky with the "Surfers Paradise Beach" sign. The Pink Poodle sign is now heritage listed. We saw a fabulous teal-coloured Austin A40 car and we popped into the The Royal Queensland Art Society Gold Coast gallery. The beach was not overcrowded and the water was the perfect temperature and ideal for swimming.

A really nice beach, which wasn't too crowded when I visited in the evening, and was great for walking. The waves were too close to the shore to be optimal for surfing or bodyboarding, but it would be really nice for swimming too if you go there earlier in the day. Some sections of the beach have lots of shells, which are very pretty, but could be sharp, so be mindful of where you're stepping. I also noticed that many of the stones on the shore had very unusual textures or colours which was very interesting. This beach is absolutely a great place to visit if you're in the area.

Much quieter than surfers paradise. Found some pippy shells, went for a swim. Plenty of sun sand and fun for everyone. Will definitely return.

Lovely stretch of beach as far as the eye can see. Many sea treasures of shells and pebbles to find. Huge playground near Kurrowa Surf Club for all ages. Even the adults can play....try the slide, it's awesome!

Great beach. Good facilities and shops near by without destroying the beach.

If you are in Gold coast and want to avoid busy beach like surfers paradise, recommend Broadbeach. It is way nice and quiet and you may have the whole beach to yourself! Go in the evening for sunsets, and nice stroll but during the day or morning is equally nice.

πŸ‘ A lovely spot for a day at the beach. The water is calm, there's plenty of space to set up and parking is okay. My only wish is that the toilets were closer, rather than across the road in the park.
