spouse
and
I
recently
had
a
rather
disappointing
experience
at
this
hotel,
and
I
feel
compelled
to
share
it
to
caution
potential
visitors.
We
were
attending
an
event
in
the
Kurunegala
area
and
decided
on
this
hotel
based
on
positive
reviews.
Unfortunately,
our
stay
did
not
live
up
to
expectations.
We
initially
booked
a
cabana
room
for
the
first
night
and
a
cabana
with
a
plunge
pool
for
the
second,
more
than
a
month
in
advance,
paying
an
advance
fee
through
online
transfer.
A
week
later,
our
plans
changed,
and
we
needed
to
adjust
our
booking
to
just
one
night.
I
canceled
the
plunge
pool
room,
as
we
found
it
not
worth
the
price.
Despite
a
phone
confirmation
of
the
change,
we
received
no
written
confirmation.
Upon
check-in,
we
discovered
that
they
had
canceled
the
regular
cabana
instead
of
the
plunge
pool
room.
They
refused
to
rectify
the
mistake,
claiming
the
regular
cabana
was
booked
for
another
guest
the
next
day.
This
miscommunication
was
not
acknowledged,
and
the
lady
at
the
front
desk
displayed
unprofessional
behavior
with
a
noticeable
attitude.
Despite
their
error,
they
refused
any
compromise
and
declined
a
refund
for
the
advance
payment.
This
behavior
is
far
from
what
one
expects
from
a
hotel
claiming
to
be
decent.
Forced
to
stay
in
a
deluxe
room,
we
endured
disturbances
from
partying
and
singing
men
right
outside
our
room
until
midnight.
Such
an
experience
raises
serious
questions
about
the
hotel's
reputation
and
decency.
I
hesitate
to
recommend
it
to
anyone.
Think
twice
before
booking.
