    Il Gelato Italiano in the heart of Grünwald serves up a variety of delicious Italian ice cream & sorbet flavors including traditional and some more modern ones. The pistachio had decent sized chunks of nut while the lemon was pleasantly tart. It had been awhile since I last bought ice cream so the €2 per scoop price was unexpected (€2.50 per scoop for pistachio ice cream). Assume it is part of inflation… either way, the gelato was exactly what I needed that day. Apparently it’s what many others needed too as by the time we left, there was a queue of a dozen or more people. As for seating, there’s a covered terrace with a few tables with chairs as well as a few seats on the sidewalk exposed to the sun. Another alternative is to walk to the Marktplatz where there are shade-covered benches. Wherever you choose to sit, I highly recommend Il Gelato Italiano in Grünwald.

    Fantastic ice cream in many different flavours, including some more exotic ones (elderberry & lavender, black vanilla, salty caramel etc.) Great location, very good coffee. The place is tiny and it was quite full on Sunday early afternoon - but we still had seats, as the managers thoughtfuly put some additional chairs on the pavement. Very pleasant, will visit again.
