This was the most disappointing experience. The terrace was beautiful and lively, the servers were friendly. But the food was just terrible. The beef tartar was not chopped, but instead it was ground in a meat grinder, still with ribbons of meat, as if from a ground (minced) meat package from a supermarket, and served unseasoned!! The ingredients were simply served on the side. I've had this dish all over France The confit de canard looked like it was deep fried in a fryer, and possibly not even heated up for the first time. It looked dry, stringy, terrible. This was the only time I ever sent food back without even tasting it. It seems the waiter knew this was a common problem as he graciously took it all back without so much as an argument. I did appreciate the service, though. I would definitely suggest this place for a drink! Lovely terrace, good staff, decent wine selection.

I have to say I'm not sure why the reviews of this restaurant are low. Our servers were extremely friendly, the food was very good, and you simply can't beat sitting on the square. We had a wonderful time.

The most horrible service I’ve ever seen. I was waiting for my chicken salads for AN HOUR, and haven’t got it in the end. I had to ask four different waiters about where is my salad but all of them were only saying “not my problem I only serve drinks”. Highly recommend avoiding this place, there are many nice places in Bordeaux

HORRIBLE! The glasses were sticky, the wine was disgusting and the waiter was rude. - Our glasses were so dirty, it was clear they hadn't been cleaned after the previous customers - The waiter (9PM, Friday night, sitting near the car park) was SO rude, he ignored us for 30 minutes, got our order wrong and then was clearly mad, ignored 2 requests to turn the heaters on AND gave us the wrong (worse) wine

Great spot in the square with trees and a slight breeze. Service was quick and friendly. They had QR code for English menus, although not everything was translated. My oysters had small shell chips in two out of the six. Knives could be sharper, my porc was ok to chew, but it was hard to cut. Over all very enjoyable meal. 86€ incl 4 drinks, 1 entree, 2 mains, 1 desert and a coffee.

Ok but like where to start? Really rude and unprofessional staff especially the blonde guy he did a disgusted face to my family and called someone over instead. Then the food was not cooked at all and not that good to be honest. The water we ordered didn’t even come but the girl who got our order was always looking at the mirror while talking so I kind of have given up at this point. The food is really expensive and it’s not worth it. They also are quite tricky and tend to mess up the orders trying to get more money. This place sucks.

I do not recommend this place. The glasses had not been washed since the last customers had used them, received the wrong wine and the waiter was rude. Wish I could rate this as 0 stars.

It’s ok for a coffee break. A pity that there were no pastries for my late breakfast at 10h30… and no crêpes- even it is said in menu that you can get it at any time. But the terrace on this cute square under the trees made it an enjoyable experience anyway.

Went to have lunch and had a terrible experience. Really bad service from our male waiter, he seemed ignorant and was more interested in stressing our order, rather than taking it. A complete tourist trap!

This café has great location and in the afternoon and evening a fabulous atmosphere, drinks are cold and the food is hot. Limited bathroom space for such a big venue though, so after a few beers, you might be waiting in line for a while to go. I would still recommend the café.

Very tasty, quick service, friendly staff. Its was difficult to choose between all the yummy options. Portions were decent too.

Whatever you do, do not get the cajou bowl..it comes with a layer of oil called 'sauce asiatique'..yuck yuck yuck .. We also got a plateau de charcuterie, the jambon de Bayonne was dry and the chorizo was not good quality....so disappointed

Latte was totally burnt, but the waiter didn’t ask why cups were left almost untouched. So it absolutely matches it’s rating 2,5*. Better find any other 4*+ rated restaurant.

The service is slow, the oysters are fresh and snails are tasty. Be moderate in your expectations and this place will surpass them.

Good food in a lively square. We arrived late in Bordeaux and it was one of a few places still serving food. We had duck confit and lamb cutlets and both were very good.

After waiting for our food for forever we decided to check the google reviews, and now it all makes sense. Took too long to get a waiter, and when we got our cheese plate, we didn’t get plates, and where asked to pay at once, too bad because we wanted to order another bottle of wine. Hopefully the manager here makes some changes, because this could have been a superb experience

The restaurant was full of young people and the atmosphere was amazing. Due to the fact that they offer duck cuisines, we took the chance for their duck salad and confit du canard. They we delicious.

After parking the car we were looking for a nice place for a coffee and maybe a croissant. It was 11:30 and perhaps it is against the law but they just had coffee and nothing else. There was not even a suggestion of anything else. Really poor customer service.

We have been in the cafe for more than half an hour and no one came to take our order. I even went to the front desk and they told us they would come but didn't.

Citron pressé was not made with fresh lemons. At 6 euros I expected better (think yellow plastic jif lemon). It also took a very long time to arrive.
