Had an amazing time here and all of the staff were friendly. Tours of the building were given and information of how they were used was given. Very educational, family friendly. Spent about three hours here. Would definitely recommend.

This an awesome living museum. They moved buildings from around 1890 NE and moved them all here to form a small fake town. There are a lot of buildings you can go in and see what they were like, including Levi Stuhr's, the founder of The Stuhr Museum. There is also an old farmstead, steam engine, and American Indian mud house. Seniors are about $1 cheaper, and children 12 and under are about $5 less than a regular adult. They also give a $1 discount per adult for a AAA membership.

It's a beautiful town based on the latter nineteenth century, which is fantastic. The volunteers are great, and they share broad knowledge of those times. My wife and I love it!

Note: if you want to the live historical setting of the town, go before the middle of August. We visited at the end of August, and very few โ€œworkersโ€ were there, I did not read about this on any website and was disappointed as I was expecting to see a living historical town. We were told they are open until mid September and then for two weekends in December. Non the less, we had a nice visit. Houses were all locked up and a lovely gentleman and lady would unlock them and let us look around; their are 5 houses on property. The town has very few shops open and functioning, but the ones that were open and staffed were very informative. This is a self tour trip with a lot of working and as of currently, not 100% ADA friendly; there would be many of places that would be non accessible. All buildings have been moved into the โ€œtownโ€ and decorated to the era. This was an amazing trip, but again would have loved to been there for the living town. Side note: in order to get into Railroad Town, you must purchase a ticket the Stuhr Museum as this is part of the museum. Itโ€™s free to go into the town once youโ€™ve bought a ticket to the museum.

It's very fun when most of the buildings are open. Some of the things are interactive like the black smith, carpenter, or the telephone office.

All the workers are friendly and informative about the history. The restaurant in the town has good food and isn't overpriced. Would go again

Extremely important for folks to visit. Nice piece of history. They are doing a fine job of preserving memories. Could use more funding to continue their project. GO VISIT.

My favorite town in Nebraska! A season pass is really the way to go. If the afternoons nice, it's just fun to walk around here and see history come to life. Even if you only get a half hour in before close, it's free to enter if you have a pass. The old time holiday's are worth the cost of a membership alone. So many great memories of 4th of July's and Christmas Celebrations out at Railroad Town. Stuhr Museum is a true treasure and wonderful place to spend a day. If you live near it, consider supporting them and make good use out of that membership throughout the year. A BIG thanks to all the staff and volunteers who make Stuhr and Railroad Town the special place that it is. - A Happy Member :)

I would have given it high marks but it was all closed up! We still had to pay FULL price so 3 stars. It should be almost free if all you can do is walk around outside. Most windows were even covered so you can't see inside. A big let down.

Went to Christmas party and present event. It is so much fun to see the railroad town decorated for Christmas. Love visiting the tin shop and blacksmith shop. The houses are always beautifully decorated. Just a fun time.

Workers were very informative. Everyone was very polite and did a great job staying in character. Buildings were very neat and tidy. There was a lot to do and experience.

Visited off season. Was disappointed that Railroad Town was closed. This was understandable as it was cold and the buildings are not heated. They were kind enough to provide me with my own personal tour guide who took me through buildings that interested me. I live 8 hours away and look forward to seeing it during the summer season.

Living History area, year: 1891, garb appropriate for it being Prarie Victorian. Staff is good for showing the buildings off.

We really enjoyed our afternoon wandering around Railroad Town at Stuhr Museum. The employees at the various businesses and homes were very knowledgeable about the era, making it a more realistic visit to the past. We spent over 4 hours at the museum and didn't get to everything, so another trip is in our future.

It is fascinating stepping back in time going through Railroad Town. Learning about the history of how things were in the old days.
