If fried chicken is your thing then you HAVE to try this place. They do get very busy on weekends but they do have an online list you can add yourself to, the first time I went they had a 2 hour wait, the second time I added myself to the list and waited 5 min. Now to the food.. everything was delicious, I ordered chicken, biscuits and gravy, and of course a waffle. I ordered Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as my sides and both were great. The cornbread was also amazing. I also got banana pudding to go and it was great! The servings are very generous.

Thanks Amanda our Hostess was very sweet and we were greeted with a smile. The atmosphere was great, and the music was awesome. The waiter was attentive, and was able to balance his tables. It was our first time there, and we tried the greens, mac n Cheese, chicken and waffles. Groups area was closed but can easily hold small gatherings indoors or outside. Shout out to the manager he was able to speak with us, as we left.Your doing great!(

Amazing place for some delicious chicken and Waffles! Beautiful exterior and interior of the restaurant. They do get busy nearing lunch time. Vast variety of drinks and great array of soul food style food. The Mac and cheese/shrimp is a must try. Of course the classic Chicken and Waffles are on point. They also have tenders if your not into to the bird on the bone .. Come hungry because portions are very generous. Super amazing staff that are friendly and attentive. This is how you do a restaurant experience. Highly recommend.

The food is delicious. The chicken pieces are large and seasoned well. The waffle is fresh and fluffy, with vanilla notes that complement the chicken well. Overall this restaurant is amazing however the service is slow. Note they were busy when we went. We walked in originally to dine in, but there was a 30 min wait so we ordered at the to go counter. It then took an hour+ to get our food. We had to ask after 45min and when we got it, it all was cold -_- I'm still giving this restaurant 4 stars because the flavors were great! They just need some help in the kitchen. Def eat here.

It was a bit busy so our server forgot to order some of our items. But the food was mouthwatering delicious! The kool aid is a must! Wish we could have tried the peach cobbler egg rolls.

Man food was amazing! The waffles are light and fluffy with great flavor on their own. The chicken was very flavorful and crisp. When you put them all together I felt a sense of joy and happiness wash over me. I'm going back before I leave town.

Went here with my best friend for a lunch date. Oh my goodness!!! Not only was the food delicious but the vibe was EVERYTHING! We walked in the door and they were playing 90s R&B...I immediately started grooving before we were even seated. I continued grooving after we were seated all the way until we left. If you love R&B and a smooth vibe, this is it. I had the shrimp and grits btw...delicious. Seasoned perfectly. I'll definitely be back.

The food was great and I would highly recommend to my friends and family. The server/waiter was very knowledgeable and throughly answered all of my questions. However, the food was cooked, though, it could have been more done. The corn bread, since they are so dense and have actual corn pieces in them, could have spent a few more minutes in the oven, I felt like I was eating wet cake. Additionally, the chicken was good, however, with fried chicken, you have to let it drain/rest for 3-5 minutes when it comes out of the fryer. If you do not let it rest, then the coating/crust will become soggy - my chicken breast was soggy. Outside of this the food was great, thus, the 4-star review. However, in the interest of honesty and satisfaction, I would most likely not return. I remain neutral. I prefer the following: This is it Soul Food (Houston, TX) Madea's (Everman, TX) Sweet Georgia Brown (Dallas, TX)

I loved just about everything about this place. It’s nice and roomy holds a lot of people. The food was amazingly good. It came out hot and fresh and extremely delicious service was OK not too bad they were very busy so we did have a little grace. I plan to go back every time I’m in town.

I got the soul food platter with macaroni & yams and greens on the side. My greens had plastic underneath that my 1st bite, I was kinda disgusted but it was cool they gave me a fresh bowl. The fish was good ash, crispy and fresh. Mac wasn’t all that but the yams was & also our waitress name was Q or Que.. she was so sweet and attentive she took care of us. I’ll definitely recommend!

I went here on a Wednesday around 5pm. I sat at the bar and had a great time with the bartender John. He recommended all his favorite options to me and was very nice and social. I ordered the Strawberry henni it ran me $15 bucks too sweet for me i wonder if he use a premix i would prefer fresh Strawberries. Then he recommended i try another henni cocktail it was less sweet and good. Great guy! Now the food I ordered the catfish and Mac& cheese and greens for $22. The fish was cooked so beautifully perfect color freshly made to order. Try there signature hotsauce with the fish. The mac&cheese was not so great it looked and taste like it was scooped up out of the pan and warmed in a microwave. I'll pass the next time! The greens however they were delicious seasoned perfect so much flavor I should've got two of those they was a star on there own. I also got a Biscuit a d cornbread muffin both taste homemade and sweet. I wanted to try the fried green tomatoes but they were out of them. Next time I come back I plan to try them and the devil eggs. The restaurant is nice and big inside plus the have a huge outdoor patio. I'm happy I came during the week and early I've heard how busy they get on the weekend. My overall experience was great I just think the drinks are to pricey to not be top shelf crafted drinks. The food has great prices and worth it. Besides that I look forward to my return and I can't wait to bring a friend !

My sweetie brought me here. My 1st time. I'm in love! I walked in hearing the sweet voice of Anita Baker 👏🏿 Our waiter Jordan (or was it Johnathan) was THE nicest guy 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 The chicken was out-freaking-standing 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 I wish I didn't live so far away but it may be a good thing... they'd have all of my money!

I can't brag enough about this food and about the music. Omg! This place was everything. I loveeeee it and I couldn't stop bragging to my friends and family about it. I wanted everything on the menu. Everything on my plate was 5 star. Delicious!!!!!!!! Yummy Flavor!!!!!!!! I even got chicken and waffles to go. The price was very affordable. Amazing selection of food. I love how you can customize your meal. No lie. I'm dead serious. To top it off, the music was soooooooo good!! I was jamming and eating at the same time. I was in heaven. The music selection was the best I ever heard in a restaurant. Had to catch myself from singing Out Loud. Romantic R&B date night music for sure. I plan to get some friends together and go back. It was a little cold inside but I forgot how cold it was after on bite of my food. 5 star food. I don't know who cooking back there but they deserve recognition.

I would give a 4 star rating because I believe they were short staffed. There was a 40 minute wait. Then it took a while for our food to be prepared. However, our waiter was really good from his manners to remembering our orders. The food never disappoints, because Lo-Lo’s have a distinct taste like no other. We will return to another location.

This was my second attempt at this restaurant. My first time was at their first location. I didn't enjoy my meal then...but NOW it was delicious! I was happy that I decided to give it another shot. We ordered the Phat Azz Sandwich, Yo mama's biscuits n Gravy, Double Ds, and Soul food platter. "DRANKS" were not that good unfortunately. Service was great! Wait time on Mother's day was 2-3 hours, but the great music made it a bit easier to bare.

Their hot sauce tastes like red’s hot sauce. I had the fried catfish with greens and Mac and cheese. I also ordered a thicken thigh on the side. My friend ordered shrimp and grits. The shrimp is breaded on the shrimp and grits and they add mushrooms and green onions to the tops. Corn bread has little bits of corn inside and more cake like which I like. Their food is very cheesy but I do wish their cheesy stuff had more flavor to it. Catfish was fried hard and I loved it with the hot sauce. Greens were very good too, taste home made still. I didn’t taste any gritty. I would get the fried catfish again with greens. I would also get the fried chicken.

First time trying this restaurant and the food was very good. Ordered theToy-Toy with an extra wing. The service was nice and could be a lot better with over the phone orders. The manager and employee working upfront were so nice and helpful. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu. 10/10 ;)

This is a hidden gem for Brunch. Definitely worth the drive and visit. They had great music, great drinks, and amazing food. I was most impressed with the quality of drinks. I had a catfish omelette with greens, sweet potatoes, and a waffle. And I had the Rooster punch… the service was great and the other guest were young to old. I’ll definitely be back again.

Great spot for soul food! The fried chicken is one of the best I’ve had. The staff is pleasant and polite. Try the craft cocktails! If you like their hot sauce, ask for a bottle ($5)

Went here with my family at lunch dinner and it was a nice time. You have to reserve a table either before you show up or after you show up. You can reserve in person using a QT code. The food is good. The waffles are delicious and huge. Very nice hostess and waiters but it does take a little time to get a table. Food is very good though!!!

The chicken was good. Well seasoned. Can be a bit pricey. I got the breakfast fries and was not impressed. They were too big and dry and not seasoned enough. The waffles were good. I also got the peach cobler rolls and ice cream. Also not impressed. But the food was good. And the front desk lady was good. Had a to go order. Will sit and eat next time.

Got there at 9pm and had to wait almost an hour before being seated, and our food took about 40 minutes to come out. The chicken was EXTREMELY HUGE. I wish I would have known the chicken was going to be that big. The chicken was good, but super seasoned. The catfish was tooooo good though.
