The food and service were good, nothing amazing though. The place is trying really hard at being a fine dining establishment but it honestly fits more to being a typical german diner. Overpriced in my opinion. However the summer garden's ambience is really nice.

A nice and old restaurant in the end of the downtown of Heidelberg. We were a group of 30 people to booked the complete restaurant and was a good experience. We had a fixed menu planned considering the group and it was quite good.

A good fine dining restaurant! The taste of our ser menu is well qualified,especially our main course - grilled salmon. Both of chef and manager take care of our meals well. When we finished our meals,manager would ask us if everything is good or no. And chef friendly served us green salad which wasn’t included in our set menu.

Imo this is really class food with good service. To me best higher priced food in Heidelberg. Also Faouzi serves perfectly. Big love!

What a fantastic evening dinner we had. Our server was Faouzi and he was incredible. Great food, atmosphere and a lot of personal touches. 5 stars!!

Our best dinner of our vacation! Excellent service from faouzi, very attentive. I had sea bass which was delicious and prepared well. Dessert was chocolate mousse, wonderful and tasted like heaven.

Lobster soup is wonderful, And Faouzi and Angelo is really nice ,kind and good service!

We booked for a special meal and had a lovely table in the courtyard. The food and service were good, however wine choice was not available. Disappointingly they started clearing tables around us while we were mid meal which rather destroyed the atmosphere.

The wild garlic soup(see picture 2) was of excellent quality. Diced prawn served with mornay sauce in the shell entered as the most inconspicuous dish of the evening. Very likely a seasonal dish.

Wow! Best food and service we‘ve had in Heidelberg. Very well done. Faouzi was very attentive, and the wine and food was amazing. The restaurant is a very cool old building and the garden was beautiful. Expensive, but a great dining experience.

Heidelberg’s best restaurant also has its most pleasant and enjoyable service! Our family had the pleasure of joining Herrenmuhle at dinner to celebrate our time in Heidelberg and our late German grandfather. The food was absolutely wonderful, but our friends Maria and Faeuzi made it a night we’ll all remember forever.

Anywhere from $60-$100 or so depending on which and how many course you get. The food was all fantastic, the venison was probably the best I’ve ever had and the desert (picture included) was nothing short of exceptional. Service was awesome, very friendly and profesional. 1 drawback, it was so hot in there I was sweating half of the meal and it wasn’t cool.

Reading the response to my wife's review of the service provided at your restaurant I was struck by the your patronising tone . It speaks volumes. We were served by a waiter that had difficulty hiding his irritation with us , your job as it were would be simply to apologise. Your response is quite bizarre in suggesting our perception of the poor service in your establishment was down to us having a bad day . No doubt you get complaints that are unjustified but this was the first time that I am aware of that my wife has left a complaint ,she has contrary to your insinuation eaten in more international level restaurant than she would care to remember. We are not fussy people we just simply require that we are not treated like interlopers at a private function, your rather long justification for the experience we had at your restaurant with its micro aggressive tone is simply a continuation of an unpleasant evening. If it wasn't for the second waiter who took over we would have left . I certainly will not be returning.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our lodging and we are so glad we sought it out. It is in a quiet area on a back street, away from the crowded streets in Old Town. Our waiter and the rest of the staff were attentive and we found the food to be delicious and beautifully presented. Wouldn't hesitate to return!

Outstanding food and service. This restaurant was recommended by hotel concierge during a business stay. It's on the quite end of the pedestrian street. The decor was lovely and the staff super attentive. But the food was first class.I had the lobster soup and then wide venison for my main. They did not disappoint. The wine list was comprehensive and the server was knowledgable.

Einfach wunderbar! The food was really good, I got the Crustacean Velvet Soup, Cordon Bleu and White Chocolate Mousse with Brownie as take away and everything was extremely delicious. An extra shout out for the brownie, it's easily one of the best brownies I've eaten. Thank you for the excellent food!

The place get's three stars from me, because they fall short of what they strive to be. The service was nice, the place was beautiful, and the food was good. However, I expect more from the food at a place that advertises itself as a place of high cuisine. There was nothing wrong per se, but it seemed no better than many other places in town, which charge half the price. I will gladly pay a premium for premium food, but I think they need to do more to put themselves above the competition. Will gladly give them another chance in the future.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was fantastic but the service is not up to par for this price category of restaurant. We felt the waiter either was very inexperienced or just didn't care. We wouldn't come here again to celebrate. There are other places that go out of their way to make your stay special . This is not one of them

Wow! Not sure if there is a better place for your dinner in this city... so tasty, great presentation, interesting selection of local wines for still affordable prices and professional staff creates unique local coctail. Thumbs up!
