Had lunch inside here on a nice sunny day. There are some outdoor tables too, but only a few and they were occupied. The staff was really nice and we were allowed to bring our dog inside. The food is good, but not very special. The beer is good and there is a tasting option with 4 different types.

Still my go-to place in Heidelberg! Always full, very friendly, delicious and offering great beer, so basically all you need for a dinner in Germany. I love the food here and I absolutely love their Helles.

Great atmosphere and food. They coped well with our table which had few German speaking people among a large group ordering food and beers. Service, considering, was good given the language barrier. The food was plentiful and authentic, although some may find it a little rich, and there was not much for vegetarians. We had reserved our table as we were a large group, but smaller groups appeared to be able to dine without reserving a table first. They had menus in English and German. Would definitely visit again if in the location.

They have the strongest beer in the world! Aside that, lots of traditional German food, good home brewed beers in different sizes and varieties. I've had the pork knuckle and traditional meat plate on two different occasions. The pork knuckle was a very big portion and it'll be enough for two people. Would definitely recommend the experience.

Traditional German dishes and beer on tap. Bilingual staff and a variety of menu items means there's something for all. Would recommend making a reservation as it filled up quickly around lunchtime.

If I could eat here everyday, I’d think twice for the quantity and the little willpower to not over-eat. The food is excellent German - pork knuckles… my goodness best I have had so far, but I have to premises with: I have had only 3, so take for what it is worth. Pork is perfectly tender with some chewiness and hint of sweetness to the outer part. Sausages and sauerkraut are such a perfect pair and the Germans know how to make fantastic sausages - loading up!!! They do have English menu in case anyone needs Happy eating

A large place with a large selection of beer and food. The pork knuckle is a must have and I enjoyed the lager beer. We had the beer tester with 4 different beer varieties and they were good, some of the beer was not to my liking, but the lighter beer were amazing

Can't rate the food as we only had beer, but the beer alone was great. If you want a little novelty with your drink, they once had the world's strongest beer (1994) at 33%. We were here on a Sunday and service overall was great.

Came by recommendation of a friend, and she was 100% correct. This is a stop you shouldn't miss. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The food is very good, so good we're going back!!

Service, ambience and biers. Very friendly people at work. The ambience is like those of the taverns and is usually full. The biers were awesome. We did try their Bier probe. We could not try the food. The experience was good at this place.

Superb, simply superb! Great brew and remarkable food! I strongly suggest their beer sampler, Schweinshaxe and their sausage platter (#132). It's so good I had to go back two more times! Staff is super friendly too which is a big plus.

This restaurant is open late and has a lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly but service was lacking. When we asked a restaurant staff about seating we were told to ask someone else, so we did, then just seated ourselves. It took quite some time to get someone to take our order, but once we ordered our food it came out almost immediately. I like that they had a beer sampler so you could try multiple brews. The dumplings were nice and the mushroom sauce was quite thick and heavy.

This was My second visit to Heidelberg, I heard about their world’s strongest naturally brewed beer and their seasonal beer. I had to try their menu. We set there and kept on ordering more and more. Service was as quick as it could be and they were friendly ❤️

The service was great, the waiter was very friendly and even turned on the air conditioning because he saw me using their menu as a fan. He could also take orders in English. On regards to the food, on my opinion, the prices are too high for the quantity and quality of the food. I imagine the prices are because they are in a very touristic street. My dish was too salty for my taste. The beer was very good. We ordered the Brauhaus Helles, which I can recommend.

Perfect place to grab lunch or dinner. Right around the corner from the Plaza/courtyard in Heidelberg. We had the schnitzel and wurst platter. SO much food and SO delicious! Beer and cocktails are very refreshing. We can't wait to come back.

Unique local brewery we stumbled upon. Busy but not overwhelming. We were able to sit at a table that was reserved for 8pm but it was only 6pm when we arrived. Very friendly staff and helped us with English translation of the menu. Beer was brewed on-site and had a great selection. Food came out extremely fast and was delicious. The steak was slightly undercooked and corrected immediately. Worth a trip back for a beer and pretzel.

If you are looking for decent German food, I would strongly advise you against visiting this place. Way overpriced and low-quality food. Very overcrowded and loud. The toilet doesn't seem to be cleaned regularly and there is no warm/hot water to clean hands.

Great place, great beer, good food and awesome atmosphere. They brew their own beer.

Very busy fast paced restaurant, however the ambience was delightful and the food was delicious. The waiters were very attentive and made sure we had everything and that our food was delivered quickly. I highly recommend the house goulash on a cold day. Also be sure to try the beer!

This was a nice setting with kind servers. However, the servings are very small for the price. One would need to possibly get two entrees. Also you should expect long waits even when there are not many people there.

Always a must stop for Brunch on a Sunday, a business dinner, a meal with friends or just a sit outside with a beer. Great staff and prices. I love their Weisswurst.

One of the best places serving German food in Mannheim. In the strick center of Quadrat area. The choice of dishes is broad. Service is fast and professional. Portions are rather big.and the prices are on lower site - elevated from those from 2019 but still not high. And they have quite a lot of places to sit. What I like as well they have Eichbaum beer. And they serve it in 0.3 and 0.5 L glass - not only in 0.4 like contemporary trends dictates. Cheers!

Friendly staff (by German standards haha) With great beers and bevvies to accompany them. Lager was extremely smooth and the darker wheat beer was also excellent.

This place is amazing!!! The decoration is so beautiful and the food and beers are super tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they all speak English!!! They even gave us an English menu. Highly recommended and you have to try the homebrewed beer.

We visited this place because of their remarkable google reviews but the beer that they served here wasn’t that exquisite and it lacked taste. Food was pretty decent but for what we pay, I think Quantity could be better. We were made to share tables and I think I wasn’t really impressed by that because we tried reserving the place but the staff told we need not do that as we will find tables easily. Also for some reason the staffs weren’t that friendly and looked like they’re being forced to take our orders. In the end when we paid our bill the staff just placed the bill on the table and turned away rudely. I mean a sweet “goodbye/tschüss” could have improved the rating to 4 stars. I feel sad for such unprofessional behaviour towards their customers. We were totally uncomfortable throughout. Unfortunately there will not be a next time visit to this place.

Everything was fine. The place looks traditional and the sausages with suaerkraut was delicious. The bread that comes with it is really dense and not that delicious. We also had the fried dish with potatoes, sausage and blood sausage but it was huge and extremely salty. We couldn't finish it. The beer sampler was nice, and it included their super strong beer which we didn't expect.

We only came for drinks and enjoyed our time. It's a warm environment and the waiters were really kind. They let us practice our broken German and made us feel welcomed. If we come back to Heidelberg we'll for sure come back here for another runde.

Heidelberg was not my favorite city to visit, but Vetter’s beer and food was the highlight of the trip. The dunkelweiss was phenomenal and their seasonal beer was also great. We spent almost 2 hours here and it was a great time.

Great atmosphere and a really cozy place. Ideal for big groups with many food choices. Homemade beer was just perfect

Very central location in the old section of the city of Heidelberg, the Vetter's Alt Heidelberg Brauhaus is a fantastic option to enjoy south German food and beer!

Very cool typical German restaurant bar. The schnitzel was very good and so was the spaetzle. GOOD beer and great atmosphere.

Best bar in Heidelberg. My partner and I visited here after I googled the best German bar in Heidelberg and this place did not disapoint. I enjoyed the standard pilsner whilst my partner enjoyed the strawberry beer The food was amazing and the best snitzel and sausages we have tried here
