Facilities are great and all, however we did have a bad experience during our first stay and we wrote about it in their survey, couple days later we get a response from LUIS REYES, Operations manager, stating how sorry he was and he would PERSONALLY take care of us during our next stay. While planning our next stay I reached out to him and he followed up with an email requesting some information. Information was provided and he ghosted us completely. No wonder why most of their staff is not customer focused. Mr. LUIS REYES we would like to understand the reason why you did not fulfilled what you offered.

This hotel has an excellent location only 45 minutes from the international Airport beautiful views from the bar at the rooftop rooms are cozy and comfortable parking is included which is a plus in walking distance from many restaurants shops and bars. Easy check in and check out. They continue to enforce social distancing and all the measurements to stay safe during these challenging times Clean room and common areas definitely will stay here again. Stayed here for business and front desk refused to give my invoice, they promised send it through email and didn’t do it. Spent 6 days calling all days asking what is happening and just receive as an answer “we will email your invoice” and still waiting! If you are going as a business trip, I completely recommend to look out for a different place 👎🏻

Booked there for my team and myself on business trip. I'm so disapointed and upset about my stay here. I had to leave the hotel earlier than expected and front desk have not been able to get my laundry back before my departure despite I've warned them 6 hours in advance. I've asked to ship my laundry ASAP so I can catch up on my following step in Brazil, they agreed and then I never got any follow up and reply. Now I'm back in France, I've been able able to reach them and they only offer to make it available in front desk and don't reply anymore to my messages...OMG it's so poor service level, not what I expect from Marriott which I'm used to choose especially in case I need international standard back up. if you add the room was very noisy with no isolation from slamming door at 5.30AM, strong noise coming the fridge and another source i've not been able to locate, no room service after 11pm...and 200 euros of clothes lost. never Marriott again whatever the country.

Nice hotel in the middle of Ciudad Cayalá. Interesting kitchen. Great service for meetings. Front desk might be a little challenging.

Service is great 👍, the views are amazing! If you have bigger kids (grown) I recommend getting the double queen bed room! Bigger bathroom and 'Way' more comfortable than the sofabeds.. prices are good for the area and surroundings. So much you can walk to! Very Safe!!

Someone from the hotel stole my ring. They didn’t respond . That’s never happened to me in any hotel before . Bad front desk service

Friendly staff! Cleaning needs improvement! Dirty toilet. Hair in "new" paper cup. Used coffee Krupp. No remote for the TV...tried to turn off from power button but wouldn't turn off, so I had to unplug it and plugged it back in before leaving. No disposable bags in trash cans. See photos!

Cayalá is lovely, stayed at the Marriott for 10 days..it was a beautiful time.

It took me too long to write this review, but it brothers every time I remember it. In December 2022, I traveled from the USA to Guatemala, and my sisters joined me from MEX to celebrate my 50 birthday. I made the reservation directly with the hotel and was asked the reason for my trip, The reservation lady answered my email saying that they had a nice terrace and we would enjoy it on my special day. At check-in, we had to fill out papers asking the reason of the trip and DOB, The hotel staff didn't say a thing, not even Happy Birthday. One of my sisters told them: "She turns 50 today, you see here?" No reaction. I was recently in Germany, we were checking in one of our friends' b-day, they got a small cake sent to their room from the hotel front desk. Another time my husband and I were traveling around our anniversary date, and a sash with "Happy Anniversary" was on our hotel door the whole time of our stay, of course those are hotels that want to give a truly personal experience to their guests. That is absolutely not the case with AC by Marriot in Cayalá Guatemala. Their staff is not guest oriented, and although the terrace has a lovely location, there was nothing going on there, so we went somewhere else for a celebratory dinner.

November 8th, 2023. I called 2225-2600 and reserved my room two days ago. Initially I had reserved a Deluxe room with balcony that has one king bed but made changes later on to two queen size beds and same details as previously described. I have an appointment with the US Embassy here in Guatemala. I had a choice between the Marriot and Vista Quince. The Marriot gave me a better deal for the same price. You pay in dollars, they help you in English over the phone. The check in process was as easy as giving out my ID and payment method. The check in desk is on the 6th floor. I am pleased with front desk and housekeeping. Amazing job! I parked on S1 initially. Guess parking is on S2 and it took us a while to find parking. Most of the parking spots would say reserved. The elevator has a mirror integrated. The hallways smell good and they have a good climate. The bed is soft just like the pillows. The rooms are well lighted and they smell really good. Great view from the balcony. The tv in the room has a way to connect to your Netflix and has access to local channels for free. The hotel does not include food. Therefore, we had to go to a pizza restaurant right upfront called Grizzly Pizza. grizzly Pizza you’re gonna spend around Q300 for a couple and a child. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the heater. I was dialing 30 degrees celsius and the air was still cold. The shower has hot/cold water. Bring in your own body scrub, toothbrush, a comb and coffee for a more personal experience. Thank you Hotel Marriot!

Beautiful views from the lobby. Really nice breakfasts and clean rooms. The real benefit to staying here is that it's in Cayala. Completely walkable, great restaurants and lot of shopping. Worth the stay for the location.

I stayed here for a second time this year and again amazed at the attentiveness and service from the hotel staff. The property is clean, chic and well located. In my opinion, you can't beat Paseo Cayala in GC. The rooms ate modern and has all the amenities you need. The staff us courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They do try to go above and beyond the make the stay special for their guests. The views from the room and their outdoor bar is beautiful. I look forward to staying again.

This wonderful Hotel is located in one of the most biutiful and recent construted placed in Guatemala City, Well recomended as well wonderfull service.

The amenities enhanced my stay. The business center provided a functional space for productivity. Has a sleek and contemporary atmosphere with a minimalistic design. A very comfortable stay.

This is a great hotel if you are traveling and want to switch up between staying in the hotels in Zone 10 and another area. Cayala City is beautiful and you could easily enjoy 2 nights here…shops, restaurants, movie theater and more. Also, free parking is a plus! My only issues were the misleading pictures - there are no full bathrooms in this hotel unless it’s a handicap accessible room. Otherwise, the toilet and shower are in a small bathroom together, while sinks and mirror are in the bedroom next to the bed. The lobby is beautiful, hotel bar and breakfast area have an amazing view and are worth visiting.

1. Hard Beds and small pillows. 2. Sad the city prohibits airbnb, forces everyone to use this hotel 3. Parking very confusing and passes did not work. 4. Desk had to reprogram the door card 4 times and got rude about it. 5. Breakfast is good. 6. Just an expensive hostel.

Outstanding hotel in the best location in Guatemala City. Easy parking, immaculately clean and modern design, plus an excellent bar with an amazing view upstairs. Great amenities and walking distance to fantastic restaurants, shops and nightlife. Highly recommended.

My stay was average because when I checked in even though I told him I was platinum elite and I know I had perks he didn’t care. I had to come back to the front desk because my room AC wasn’t working. I received a room upgrade after he actually looked at my membership. I lost my go pro and I’ve called a few times to see if they will check and they always act like it is the first time calling. I just want to get my go pro back.

Hotel was clean, well located, easy to get to from the airport. ciudad cayala where the hotel it's located it's beautiful lost of places to go eat, walk and chill. Definitely recommend to all travelers

Although the hotel was not full, I got a bad room. No view, cold and you couldn't open the window. Not good service….sorry. Never ever again.

We were treated with great respect. The hotel was very neat and elegant. We had some late night travel issues one night and Stephanie went above and beyond to make sure that we could make it back safely to the hotel. We cannot thank her enough!
