I
have
some
mixed
feelings
about
booking
the
acatenango
trip
with
this
agency.
Positive:
-
we
hade
a
nice
guide
(Jose)
-
our
group
was
quite
small
(5
people),
the
groups
of
other
companies
where
like
35
people
-
the
food
was
tasty
(sandwich
for
lunch,
pasta
for
diner,
banana
bread
for
breakfast)
-
the
accomodations
where
a
bit
better
than
the
ones
of
other
companies
(fixed
tents,
just
a
little
bit
smelly)
-
quite
cheap
(300q
for
the
trip)
Negative:
-
there
appeared
to
be
some
communication
issues
between
the
guide
and
the
organization.
our
guide
was
not
informed
that
we
had
paid
the
fuego
trip
in
advance.
It
took
like
1h
for
him
to
clarify
the
situation
in
the
basecamp
-
once
it
was
clarified,
we
could
still
not
go
on
the
fuego
trip,
because
the
warm
clothes
(gloves,
jacket,
mullet)
were
not
available
in
the
base-camp.
The
clothes
only
arrived
2,
3h
later,
when
it
was
already
dark.
We
were
really
sad
about
this,
because
the
additional
fuego
hike
was
supposed
to
be
our
highlight
of
this
trip.
At
least
the
company
reimbursed
the
fuego-fee
without
any
further
disscussions.
-
In
general
I
had
the
feeling,
that
the
organization
was
a
bit
chaotic.
E.g.
one
fellow
traveller
was
told
he
could
do
the
night-hike
with
the
torch
of
his
mobile
phone,
which
is
just
not
responsible
im
my
opinion.
All
in
all
I
would
probably
recommend
spending
a
few
quetzales
more
and
go
with
another
tour
operator.
If
you
still
decide
to
go
with
this
company,
just
do
not
expect
everything
to
go
smoothly
:-)
