We loved our stay here in the tent! The view in the morning is one of the best around the lake and James is a helpful and friendly person who can assist you during your stay with anything coming up. The pizza night at the campfire was so nice while watching the starry sky and talk with friendly travelers. I would love to come back one day.

James was an excellent host, and the casita we stayed in was just what we wanted. It's one of the best places I've ever stayed at. James was really helpful and quick to assist with anything we needed. I'd definitely recommend it, and I plan to come back!

We stayed here for 3 nights and felt like we could spend a month. The views of the lake are truly amazing. The grounds have a hot tub which you can have heated for 100 quetzal. Additionally there is a fire pit and a hammock for every room. This is just the place to bring a book, cook some food, and enjoy the views of lake atitlan.

My wife and I stayed with James for about a month. Refugio del Volcan was awesome. It’s a five to ten minute walk into town or if one waits for a few minutes a taxi is sure to be by! The view from there is magnificent and the accommodations super clean and well appointed! In short, stay there!

This is an amazing place to stay! Peaceful and relaxing. The host is great guy who has made sure that every need is met. I would 100% recommend staying here and if given the chance would stay again in a heart beat.

Amazing place to stay while on the lake! Quiet, beautiful views, great facilities, 25min walk or 5min tuktuk into town, but away from all the mess and noise of the town. We stayed in the tent which was very comfy and beautiful and with direct views of the lake when you opened the door. The owner has put a lot of time and effort into making everything high quality and is also very available for tips and help. We had a great stay and would definitely go back. Oh and did i mention the hot tub with lake views during sunset?

Our stay at Refugio Del Volcan has been amazing. James is extremely helpful and responsive, and offers great recommendations for food, activities, and places to see around the lake. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning on coming to San Pedro. Thank you for everything!

Super cool place with amazing views. James is an amazing host and a super cute guy too! Great lighting in the casitas, fun around the firepit, enjoyed the jacuzzi a lot. I highly recommend hugging James
