Beware of this hotel!! This was our first family vacation after the pandemic, and we were really looking forward to it. I booked a room for my family of 3, for my husband and I, and our 11 year old son, months in advance. I pre paid for the reservation, it was an additional cost for the third person. When we arrived, they only had a room with a double bed, for 2 people available. I showed them all the proof that I booked for 3 people, and they denied it, and still did not accommodate us. They suggested we get another single occupancy room, and pay full price for it. They had the audacity to suggest to split our family up, with a young child. We had no choice but to pay for an extra room, as it was late at night, and we needed somewhere for our family to stay. We booked another room, and our family was split up. My son, and I shared a room, while my husband slept alone. To add to the wound, they kept the money for the triple occupancy room. We paid additional for the single occupancy room. They are scammers and liars!! Once they have your money, you will never get it back! Even if they are at fault!! Read all the other similar reviews!! Stay elsewhere! I have stayed all over the globe, and this is by far the worst experience.

I cannot believe this place. Due to unforeseen circumstances (had a stomach infection), I had to extend my trip in Pana. Our original hotel was all booked up so we came to this place for 2 nights. As I was recovering from my stomach infection, I went to the local grocery store to buy powdered Knorr chicken soup mix (one where you literally just add hot water to the mix). I came back at 3:30pm, asked the front desk staff for a bowl to make my soup in, she told me she couldn’t give me one because the kitchen was closed and that I should come back at 6pm when they’re open (I find it incredibly hard to believe, but ok, I’ll respect the rules). I came back at 6pm, and the kitchen staff said they would only give me hot water to make my soup if I pay them Q40 because that’s the cost of making the soup!!!! This is unacceptable. Now I’m sitting in my hotel room recovering from a stomach infection with nothing else to eat. Otherwise, the room was very clean.

I was very skeptical on choosing a hotel with in this area because of price and location. But after searching I decided this looked like a very central area and right in the middle of the price range for this area. As soon as I arrived I couldn't believe what an amazing atmosphere Regis hotel spa has. I knew that I had made the perfect choice and couldn't believe what I had just paid for this place. You feel like you're in paradise. This place has two water spas that are heated naturally through an under ground vien that releases sulfur and thefore maintains the water at a temperature of 20°c to 60°c. Extremely relaxing and very private. Beds are very comfortable, great internet, hot water, amazing food and best of all, how friendly and kind the staff were with us. I strongly recommend this place. Best place I have ever visited.

Regis Hotel is located very close to everything. Right outside the hotel you will find yourself in the middle of souvenir markets and the road to the Lake Atitlan. The tour agency where you can buy your excursions is adjacent to the entry gate. But the most special thing about being here are the grounds! Just behind the building you will find tropical gardens and two large hot tubs with waterfalls. There is a button to call an attendant at any time for anything you need – towels, drinks, hot tub adjustments. If you want to use the sauna, you have to ask the front desk about 2 hours in advance, so they have time to heat it up. We were using the spa every night and it was sooo nice and relaxing after a lot of walking and exploring… It is absolutely free! For additional charge, a lot of spa services are offered and I couldn’t resist treating myself to a 1.5 hour full body massage among the tropical plants of the garden. Even when I had to change the massage appointment 3 times to fit it in around our tours, the staff remained super friendly and I couldn’t be more pleased.

I arrived at 10 pm and the people in charge wanted to make a business of their own by offering me that there was only one room left and that i had to pay in cash. The price they were asking for was $35 more than the one in Expedia and Booking, so I decided to go to another one in Panajachel. Definitely would not recommend going without a reservation to this place.

The highlight of the hotel is the location. Well situated and close to everything. The rooms are very old. The furniture, the bedding and also the bathroom. Our room had a smell of old wood. You can hear at night the music from outside, which can make it hard to sleep

Would not recommend. Staff was awesome. Outside area very pretty. Hot tub is hot in the morning but by 430 in the afternoon it's not worth getting in so small window of opportunity. The rooms on the website look beautiful but we got a pretty dumpy room. It was tiny and old with paper thin walls.

The rooms may not be well maintained, but hot springs are excellent and so are massages in an open-air spa. Quiet, good wifi, walking distance to the lake, good food

Super nice hotel with hot springs. Just amazing. You need to stay here for sure when in Panajachel. Friendly staff and great service. The hot springs it’s just super nice after all day hiking and visiting the villages around the Atitlan Lake.

It is not the most updated hotel but you can see the quality from when it was built and the thermal water pools was a plus, the service and location is excellent.

We enjoyed hotel regis alot. Perfect location righ on calle de santander. It is actually walkable from la lancha. We took a took took because we didn't know where we were going. We should have been charged Q10 by tuk tuk but charged us Q40. Oh well. Alma at the front desk was nice enough to tell us what normal prices were for tuk tuks so we could challenge an over priced ride. The shower, cleanliness and space in the room were excellent. There was security in front so we felt very safe. They even kept our bags in their office before check in so we could walk around pana. Oh and the breakfast was muy rico and free!!! Only downside it's they would not exchange our American dollars if there were tiny rips in the dollar, but that was not a big deal. Overall great experience.

Stayed again, after almost 3 years. Disappointing. The grounds are as gorgeous as ever, but the place is showing it's age. The room wasn't nearly as nice as last time - no place to hang clothes, plugs in awkward places, no see through windows, the Temazcal Sauna wasn't working ... You get the picture.

Basic rooms and bath in the middle of the busy tourist section. Bungalow style and roomy. Would not go here if you are coming for the quiet as the sounds of the local bars and parties will be omnipresent. They do have rooms further away feom the streetside that will be better for this.

Good hotel to stay at within walking distance down to the lake. It is in a busy street but it was still quiet enough to get good rest. Free breakfast was included with our stay.

This hotel is located in the middle of the downtown. Staffs were very friendly and fluent in English. The room was clean and it has great security. The only downside was washroom which will definitely need renovation. It was too old. I enjoyed staying here and will come back next time I visit the town.

Excellent hotel with wonderful facilities, delicious food in the restaurant, excellent treatment and availability for Hot Springs a success to relax after a day full of adventure !!!

Nice hotel, especially the hot springs. However, now that it is on the most busy street and the sounds from the car traffic makes the SPA experience less relaxing.

Outdated and basic rooms. 2 star hotel in a great location. Didn't like that they made your wear wristbands during your entire stay at the hotel. Rooms also could use some updates
