I go here all the time for any hair removals, the ladies are very kind and the services are worth the price

This place is well priced, clean, and the staff are nice, but my only issue is they don't use any sort of powder, witch hazel or 'toner' before/after waxing. For the price I guess its what you get, but it makes the whole thing a bit more messy and unpleasant. The last time I went was great and made up for the time before when a different waxer missed a lot of hairs and gave me a lot of ingrowns.

10/10! I’ve never had a bad experience, staff are all lovely and location is very clean! Ps. All the people complaining about getting turned away because they’re late - news flash, show up on time. The world doesn’t revolve around you. The best thing about this location is that I can show up at my appointment time and be seen right away, unlike other places that accommodate tardy people and then other appointments get pushed back.

I have been a regular client of Waxonomy (formerly Bare Essentials) for the past two years. The team is extremely friendly and polite. The place is clean and their price points are reasonable. On top of which the quality of services are exceptional.

I have been going to Waxonomy (previously Bare Essentials) for roughly 2 years for the Brazilian half & half. I am ALWAYS 5 minutes early to my appointment, usually leaving work slightly early to get there on time as it is a 30 minute drive from where I live. Unfortunately, I was max. 10 minutes late to my appointment today due to unforeseen construction closing a main road in Guelph. My appointment was at 4:45 and I called at 4:40 to inform them that I would be late. I got to Waxonomy at 4:55 and was told that they would have to reschedule my appointment as the next person came in so they took her early (I let them know on the phone previously that I was driving 30 minutes into Guelph for the appointment). My appointments have always taken less than 10 minutes so I was shocked that I couldn’t be accommodated whatsoever, but the next customer could be taken in 5 minutes early during my scheduled appointment time. I wasn’t going to leave a review as I have worked in customer service my whole life & don’t like being the person to complain, but seeing other reviews I see that this is a common occurrence and they do not accommodate people even if they are only 5 minutes late (including a pregnant woman in another review). I have never in my life had an appointment cancelled on me for being slightly late, especially if I call beforehand to inform them. They book appointments back to back, leaving no wiggle room for any unforeseen circumstances. With the services they provide, at least 5 minutes lieu should be left between appointments for sanitation/cleaning purposes in my opinion. Unfortunately, I can no longer justify the drive to visit Waxonomy for fear that being slightly late means I drove an hour for nothing. With the prices continuously going up, it’s probably for the best that I find something closer to me anyway.

I had my worst experience in general. My appointment was with Teena. She didn’t give me any privacy to change in the beginning, refusing my request; I didn’t notice any sanitizing process in the beginning or after. She asked me if I need a powder and she just randomly put the powder somewhere .. and at the end no privacy to change again.. worst experience ever! Never go back !
