The border crossing at the Kartarpur Corridor stands as a poignant symbol of connection and significance. Here, a meticulous process unfolds as officials scrutinize passports and ETAs, ensuring the proper documentation for a seamless journey. Beyond the administrative procedures, the border crossing offers a serene and captivating vista. It's an opportunity to witness the tangible boundary that separates India and Pakistan, embodied by the center line. This unique vantage point allows travelers to absorb the historical and geographical significance of the region. Following this immersive experience, a designated bus awaits to transport visitors to the revered Gurudwara. This transition from the border crossing to the spiritual destination exemplifies the harmonious blending of administrative formalities with a deeper connection to faith and history.

TheĀ Kartarpur CorridorĀ is aĀ visa-freeĀ border crossingĀ and religious corridor, connecting theĀ Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, nearĀ LahoreĀ inĀ PakistanĀ toĀ Gurudwara Dera Baba Nanak,Ā Gurdaspur district,Ā Punjab,Ā India.Ā The crossing allows devotees fromĀ IndiaĀ to visit the gurdwara inĀ Kartarpur, Pakistan, 4.7 kilometres (2.9 miles) from theĀ Indiaā€“Pakistan borderĀ on the Pakistani side without a visa.Ā However,Ā Pakistani SikhsĀ are unable to use the border crossing, and cannot access Dera Baba Nanak on the Indian side without first obtaining an Indian visa or unless they work there.

Most beautiful experience to visit Long waited Kartarpur sahib, a Sikh Shrine in Pakistan, 4 km from Indian border. No hassle of formalities, proper guidance and support from both the countries, all welcomes with folded hands, a short trip from dawn to dusk, inside neighbour country, pilgrimage, langar, meeting new people, seeing new faces, buying fancy things, a wonderful experience. Thanks to both countries who initiated and shaked hand to make this dream come true for Sikhs.

Very bad behaviour of security inside the Gurdawara after check in. Rangers is very cooperative, but the people in civil uniform are totally illiterate.even don't know how to talk with visitors, if you have any reference/ sifarash, they will allow you to enter inside the Gurdawara. Otherwise they will treat you like animals very disappointed after travel more than 100km.

After Nanak's passing, the early Sikh community's headquarters was shifted from #Kartarpur to the #village of Khadur by his successor, Guru Angad. At the location Guru Nanak is believed to have died, the #Gurdwara #Kartarpur Sahib was built. It is considered to be the second holiest site for the #Sikh religion.

As a pilgrim, this place has my heart. It's so quiet and peaceful with people from all religions coming together here in complete harmony. Good initiative by both the india Pakistan governments to make this happen.
