Overall, i have mixed feelings. Bad points: The connecting route from main road to Mabali island is unpaved, narrow and rocky. Although, their website has listed many water rides however, only Jet Ski, Speed Boat, Tarzan Boat and Sofa Boat ride was available. Water level was too low (due to hot weather conditions all over Pakistan) which made their side of dam look like a dirty muddy pond. Unexpectedly, caught up in a deadly storm which took away the roof tops of kitchen and continental restaurant. It was flood and wind all around. Everyone was freaked out. Some people got hurt. But Mabali staff and management can not be blamed for this. Good points: Landscaping is very good. Its green, peaceful and pleasant there. Unexpectedly, food was extremely good and staff at the restaurant was very responsible and friendly. I would visit again whenever water level is high/normal again. Recommended to first timers.

It is a very excellent place to visit for families but recommended months to visit are from September to February.. Food is very good and mint margarita is excellent.. However prices are very high..Staff is very courteous and cooperative.. Their are many activities like zip lining and family boating etc... Entrance fee is Rs 500 and is adjustable in restaurant and various activities. Overall the ambience and environment is very nice.. One important note, after reaching Khanpur dam please don't rely on Google map's..It gives wrong direction. For guidance ask local people..

Very nice place to have a wonderful time with your family. Staff is professional, and family decorum is well maintained. The only thing that should be considered is outrageously expansive food. A family of 4 can not eat under Rs. 8000 to Rs. 10000 and the service charges are astonishing as well. I do not recommend eating over there. Apart from that, sports and adventure are a little above reasonable prices but that justifies the services they are offering.

Overall good place with ample space n some interesting water sports. But its not an island, it's a resort on the bank on a lake. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Service at food area is satisfactory but as it was all outside dining during COVID, food area seems a bit congested. The visibility os the place and roadside signs and marking are not enough for the first-time visitor. One may need to stop many times and ask people on the roadside. The place hasn't been designed considering wide range of weather conditions that we have in country. One needs to plan well, while going on hot summer days or even winters especially while going with children. Owners/ management should consider improving the trail leading to water n provide some shade on the way to and also on the bank.

Great place to visit with family. I went for a day trip and it was amazing. Only families are allowed which is a good thing. Their bbq is awesome. Their rides are a little expensive but worth it. Entry fee is 500 rs which can be used for rides/food once inside. There is plentiful to do here. Washrooms are neat and clean.

Mabali is a nice place to visit. Some 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Islamabad. Kids can have real fun in water; and would like to go there again. The approach road, from the main Haripur road, some five kilometers, is real real bad. Doesn't exist at places. Although, cars do finally traverse the path, but mostly, because people have already reached at a point of no return. Ideally, you should have a 4x4 or a higher clearance vehicle. The idea of making everyone pay Rs. 500 on the entrance and then enabling them to spend it on the resort is very fair and good. Rates are reasonable. Food is reasonably priced and of good quality. There is quite a scope for the management to improve the ambience and facilities available to visitors, when they are not in water. Better seating arrangements, more fans and air conditioned space would certainly do. Landscaping also needs to be improved to give the place a more tidy look. To sum, the place is worth visiting.

Being native this was my visit to Mabali Island...I must say I was impressed with facilities and services. Value for money when you stay or simply visit for dine inn.....Good options for excursions for kids and adults...food was tasty and service was amazing...restaurant manager and chef are very polite and seasoned professionals.. One thing you may work on is to send the entry point controlling supervisor/manager to send for some customer service trainings....this is just a genuine feedback Overall experience is superb. Have spoken to few native friends and you may expect a little more then dozen families visiting you in next couple of months ......

This is a conditional review. You live 50km from this place and want a break and have fun doing the water activities? It's 5/5. You want to enjoy paragliding? 5/5. You're coming all the way from afar, have no interest or guts for paragliding, and just want to have a boat / ski ride? 3/5. Just a caution: the last 8 to 10km of road leading to Mabali is narrow, unpaved and pebbly. Also check up on the level of water because if there has been no rain, the place would usually be very dried up. And lastly, the food was surprisingly very good.

Best place to visit in Khanpur. However, there are few things that i found to be not fair. Firstly, water based activities are expensive. Secondly, you won't get food from restaurant after 9 pm in case you have planned to stay at night in there hotel room. Complimentary breakfast time is just from 9 am to 10 am. Like seriously? this does not happen anywhere. However, there rooms are really clean and room service is great.

Had an official weekend retreat and I must say it was worth it. Refreshing and mind numbing adventures. The water sports were spot on and awesome. The staff working at water spots were very helpful and mannered. The overall ambiance of the place was amazing and the weather made everything so special. So many fun activities and the food was too good. Bar b q was super good and highly recommended. Just a tiny advice to the management that food area is a bit mismanaged so they should work on that. Rest everything was spot on. Highly recommended for families.

I really like the management efforts by providing excellent atmosphere and keeping the place welcoming for families. Entry ticket is 1000 per person but you can get all the amount adjusted in activities or restaurant dining. I was expecting that sort of restaurant inside the premises but their food quality was excellent and prices were very comparable to other decent restaurants. All the best Team Mabali Island. PS: We didn’t avail the rooms so honestly can’t review that part. But I hope they must be as good as other services.

Approach road is in bad condition and narrow. At least should be well coordinated at both ends for vehicle crossings. Entry is PKR 500 per head, adjustable in food/activities. Worth the effort and money. Good family place and beautiful cabins/huts.

Beautiful place. Definitely a family place. Go early morning but definitely watch out for the weather because if it's Sunny it can spoil the fun. Lots of activities available and luxurious huts available if you desire to spend the night as well. Good food quality but service is slow.

Tried to visit this spot today with family. But missed it because of not a good customer service. The google map path is not correct for off road path so better check with locals. I called customer service about road condition off main road. I was guided its fine but its actually not. Mabali try to be honest then earning money by mis guiding customers. Rough patch of approx 2km single lane. I had planned to visit and leave post sunset but having seen the road I turned back from rough road patch. Called resort manager and shared my bad experience of not a proper customer service and being miss guided about road. Resort manager was being empathic and requested to visit at least once. As facility is good. But I also personally didnt feel comfortable travelling after sunset on the rough patch single road. I know many had good experience of the facility but try to visit and conclude before sunset. Those who are concerned about road safety and travel after dark please plan accordingly to avoid disappointment after a long journey.

Overall, Mabali Island is a great place for families and individuals to go on a picnic or trip. They charged a required admission fee of 500 rupees per person, although it may be adjusted for additional activities. They also have a restaurant on the premises that serves good food but has slow service. Their restrooms were likewise in good condition. One major difficulty I encountered was that the route from Khanpur Dam to Mabali Island was quite narrow and rocky. There was designated parking available, but it was a little difficult to park a car since it was not properly built, but their staff was very helpful in providing parking.

It's a good place for family fun. Especially for people visiting from foreign countries.. it's a rough unpaved road to get to it.. should really work on that but the biggest plus they have are the neat and clean washrooms.. besides that fun activities are good as well.

Very expensive, it has good activities all are expensive for no reason. Some of the activities are 4x4 track (ends within 2 minutes), Zipline (quite small and near the ground but gives good experience for newbies, shooting, boating, paragliding, jet ski, tug of war, bonfire and many more. Food is amazingly very very very tasty, and their chef is quite artistic about presenting their food.. Great aesthetic rooms with air conditioner and great views from each room, Male and female separate prayer areas. Great staff. Aesthetics were really good but again prices should be lowered. Overall a great experience. Tip: outside food is not allowed, no shorts, no flip flops,

No doubt for out station travelers looking for some water sports adrenaline rush in their life, this is the spot. A fine place with a lot to do for fun. The only problem is that if you want this fun you will have to pay for it and by pay i mean a handsome amount of cash should be present in your pocket if your with your family. It shore is heavy on your pocket if one is seeking to have a family adventure day but probably it is because of the overall economical crisis our country is facing. Overall the experience was great and surely would love to do it again as a local adventure seeking outing when i am able to collect some moneyπŸ˜‰

Mabali Island is located in Khanpur, near Khanpur Dam. It is around 90 minutes drive from Islamabad to reach here. Place is clean and surrounded by landscapes. Only families are allowed here. They have fine parking space and dine in facilities only. You can't bring outside food here. There are different type of adventurous activities one can avail like zip line, jet ski, boating, para sailing, shooting, archery, tug of war and volley ball etc. Overall its a good experience if you are planning for 1 day trip.

It’s a beautiful island near the khanpur dam. It is best for one-day trip but you can extend if you want they have night facilities available. The location of this beautiful place will blow your mind. Road condition was good but last few Km were very bad. It was a muddy track with narrow road but soon you reach there that muddy road will be skipped from your mind because of the mesmerizing views. They have entry ticket but don’t worry that will be charged as advance and will be adjusted in the food or other the activities. Soon you enter your eyes will see a never ending view of water and mountains at the back. Remember sunset at this place is worth watching, I myself witnessed it that was magical. Daredevils this place should be on your bucket list; this place has a lot to offer. You can enjoy variety of activities like: Zip line, Boating, Jet ski, Hiking, trekking and camping etc My overall experience was excellent.

The best resort at khanpur dam, it got very good crowd. They got a 500 entry per adult / child that you can reimburse at food or activities. They got parasaling, zipline for adults upto 120kg, mini zipline for smaller kids, tarzan boat is the best, sofa water ride and many other water sports. One can spend a whole day out there. Besides that, very good services in terms of shaded benches, 5 star washrooms, parking, cleanliness, staff, etc. Separate washrooms for people to take showers and they also got space for night over.

Nice place for water sports and family hang out. But approach road from main road is in worst condition. It is sad that a lot of investors made restaurants and motels but not spent a single peny on approach road. Secondly, it is really disappointing that entry fee is Rs 500 per head which is totally unfair as many people can not afford and hence deprived from this adventure.

Spectacular. Awesome. Lively. Vibrant. My experience here was more than awesome. It's a little away from islamabad. And the Google maps do misguide you at times. We got a little lost in the way. I am from UK and haven't seen such ridiculous rules like not allowing people to bring their own mat or food or medicine from outside, non refundable entry fee. Small place with not much scenic options, ludicrous rates for simple activities for Pakistani public. In short, there are much better options at same prices so think twice.

Overall, I found the resort to offer an average taste and average services. While it didn’t particularly stand out in terms of culinary delights, the resort did provide decent options for dining. One aspect that could be improved is the size of the dining room, which I found to be on the smaller side. This can result in limited seating and potential congestion during peak times. Additionally, the prices at the resort’s dining facilities were a bit expensive compared to similar establishments in the area. Another thing I observed that stags were not entertained as well as they could have been. The resort seemed to focus more on accommodating families and couples, which may have resulted in limited activities or offerings specifically tailored to the interests of stags. Water activities at Mabali Resort on Khanpur Dam to be okay. While they provided opportunities for enjoyment and recreation, they might not have been exceptional or highly memorable. The range of water activities offered may have been limited compared to some other resorts. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the rates for these water activities were above average. This could be a consideration for those looking for budget-friendly options. In summary, Mabali Resort on Khanpur Dam is a decent option if you’re looking for an average experience with regards to taste and services. Keep in mind the small dining room and slightly higher prices, but also consider the scenic surroundings and the range of activities available during your stay.

Food was great. Specially bar b que. If they can make more huts for shade it would be great. Swimming experience was great but it's expensive given its only 40 minutes for 1 hour including boat ride to and from swimming location.

A really good family friendly location (visited during the weekdays, no holidays). Everyone guides you well for the activities, and the trainers are polite and well experienced (definitely tip them!). Rooms are fine too, pretty clean overall. The restaurant has amazing food and super nice staff. The route is a little rough for the final 2 km or so (from the Khanpur dam road, turn towards the Peshawar Shinwari hotel, don't take the longer route that Google maps suggests, because it's not good for cars).

The seafood dishes are a highlight, fresh and expertly prepared. Vegetarian options are also available, catering to diverse preferences. The open-air seating allows guests to enjoy the gentle breeze and scenic views. Prices are reasonable, making it a great value for a memorable meal. Okay, so the place is great, its clean and the pirce point is not that horrendous either. However, our experience was stained because upon entering we lost our advance payment tickets, and when we discussed with the staff to accomodate us for that amount they simply acted oblivious to our request, and were being so extra to try and even comprehend that we have genuinely lost our tickets, in turn very slyishly implying that we were trying to cheat our way out of the 4k. We were there for a total of an hour ish. Would recommend going but be careful of your valuables and cash.

It's just great. If you want to enjoy boating here, don't. Instead take a ticket for para sailing and you'll have the boat ride in it. Since they take you to an island like place for para sailing on a boat and that's a ride for around 20 minutes roundtrip.

NOT RECOMMENDED. Though it seems like family night out camp style attraction but keep it in mind they take advantage (financial)of your being in some place from where you don't feel comfortable to search of other place to stay with family specially. Adventure can be horror. More over the standard of the activities they claim is not right and not even close to international safety standard.

One of the best places for corporate trips. Mabali Island is extremely well manages and has plethora of activities to chose from including zip lining, rafting, cross-bow, motor boating etc. Bonfire is also available at night. There is an option to rent small cabins in case you want to spend night besides the dam. The food was also delicious. Overall a very good experience.

They have some weird policies about birthday cakes - we came with 12 adults and 6 kids and gave entry fee of 500 each and since we were here for a birthday celebration we bought a cake along. The weird thing was when they asked us Rs.2,000/- for serving our own cake. They call it service charges. Don't understand how cutting ur own cake can cost Rs.2,000- . This is Of course other then another 15,000 we were spending at the place for all the activities. Which is off course justified and ok. But the Rs.2,000 service charges for your own cake seems like a ripoff

Mabali island is a next level exoerience but road to Mabali Island is so conjusted that 2 cars cannot cross each other at some of the turns. I request the management of Mabali Island that you are generating lot of revenues at your island, kindly spend some of your money on the road to Mabali Island. We have to park our car 1 km away from Island and walk to the island with kids which was tiring experience. Experience at island is good. Food is yummy, bit expensive but worth it. Due to shortage of time, i couldn't visit mabali resorts, will visit resort next time. Zip lining experience was good. It costs 500 for zip lining. Other activities are also fun and you will enjoy it. If you want to go there, make a plan to stay there at resorts to have full fun and adventure.

Overhyped to the maximum. The way to this place will damage your car and the food is so unbelievably bad that its almost impossible to fathom that something can be so bad. The service is bad. Good place to visit with family. Entry fee is Rs. 500/- per person. You can use entry fee coupon for food or any sports activity. For entertainment they have Water sports and hot-air baloon. Food is not allowed from outside. They have their own Tuck shop and Restaurant. 1 and half km drive from main road. The area is under construction so road condition is very bad. Google Map is not yet updated properly so better to ask any locals for directions.

Where do I begin. The road to resort is very bad. It’s silly to make a resort but not think about how to access it. No point booking the table in restaurant because you will have to wait an hour after your booking time. Waiters had no idea what they were doing. The food was wrong. Not a nice experience at all. I would rather go to my local park for a quite enjoyment.

Very nice place with good facilities. Well maintained facility, good for family. Only worst part is1500 meters of road stretch just before resort.

Well thought out tourist resort with almost all amenities. A bit over priced and mismanaged in rush hours. A perfect family hangout. Would not recommend for water sports because of over pricing.

I liked it very much. Very nice atmosphere and location. The view of Khanpur dam is wonderful. A lot of activities are available. Visit their website for activities details. Food is nice but a little bit expensive. I did boating at sunset. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the dam. A bone fire was available.... Zipline is a little small but good for kids to enjoy if it's their first time. Jet Ski is also available at an affordable price.

Place is nicely managed environment is good but felt like little expensive in terms of getting there as there is not actual road which lead you there. Otherwise, the staff was really respectful. Enjoyed our time there. Hopefully will visit again.

Mabali Island is a great place for kids, families, and young adults. They take good care of it and offer water games and family activities. We went there with family. Entry fee is 500 per person and you can use those 500 for different activities and food. You won't regret buying the ticket as they have more for you. Restrooms are well maintained. Staff is friendly and cooperative and will guide you for every step. We enjoyed the pedal boat and swimming with a life jacket in the middle of the lake. It was an awesome experience. You can't bring your own food, but they have their own food menus which are a bit expensive. They also have juices and a tuck shop. We tried pizza and it was good because we were hungry after different activities. Activities tickets are non-refundable which I think should not be the case because sometimes kids refuse to do the activity after buying a ticket or you may need to leave early due to some urgency. Overall, it's a good place to visit and other places can learn from how they manage things.

We stayed at camp. It was a fun experience. Though for summers it gets a little stuffy in the morning even if the weather is good. Water sports are wonderful. Pre book for stay before you visit.

A good place for families. Tarzan is a floating dock with slides and trampoline to jump in water TAKE SHORTS / SWIMMING DRESS ALONG 1 star minus due to lake cleanliness issues. Place is otherwise clean IMPROVEMENT POINTS They need to focus on CLEANLINESS OF LAKE. Even water around Tarzan was not clean. Moreover dustbins were difficult to find

I went there for day visit. Activities were marginal, food، taste and quality wise was not upto the marks. Yes people handling parking reception, security, ticketing and in restaurant were nice and cooperative. Mabali island has huge area but they should have hired architect to construct the environment more professionally. Too much wasted land. Location was beautiful but entry point from N 125 is confusing with no information boards and link road to Mabali is pathetic. I think our entrepreneurd should spend few out of their profits to improve surroundings. As we should not wait for the government all the time.

Good place, Corporative staff and food also good as well. Boats were a little expensive and very short time in comparison to the money. Overall it was a really good experience. One of the things I want to highlight to the OWNER the entrance from the main road is not good and there is no sign board on the main road where to take turns. The service road going towards mabali need too much improvement with proper street light and sign board. You cant travel on this road after evening
