I'm very familiar with this hotel, tho the room needs definitely some preventative maintenance. The New Guy at the counter is a breath of fresh air. He said his Name was Vicky. Very courteous and polite doing the best he can... And providing 💯% great customer service! Thanks kindly Timothy... 🐾 Service 🐕‍🦺 friendly as ❤️‍🩹 well. Without this gentleman's customer service I would have a different review he makes the stay decent. (: I repaired the toilet flapper during my stay... And the Sink stopper and the tub handle. (: Because I care.

Great place to stay! Breakfast better than most of this chain. Cappuccino dispenser in the breakfast area. Staff was super helpful. Our room was clean and we had plenty of electric plugs!

Stayed here for two nights. Hot tub was broken the entire time and front desk was a joke with any sort of help. We were needing to extend our stay for one night and they tried hiking our price up from $100 per night to $190 for the additional night as well as moving us to a single bed room when we were in a double queen room. We decided to move to a different hotel instead of letting them price gouge us. Hotel was pretty grubby as well. Much better places to stay in Gunnison than here.

Better than expected, comfy bed with great pillows, hotel was clean and modern. We wish the a/c would have stayed on but turned on and off all night. Hotel is across the hwy from a Walmart so that was convenient.

Won’t stay here again. Rates were not commensurate with the quality of accomodations. Public areas are worn & dirty. Elevator was sticky with soda for our whole stay. Upholstered furniture is worn. Front desk service was either surly or uninformed. Office Center printer produced illegible documents. Room was decent & clean, with comfortable beds, but with no storage for clothes, and the bathroom had peeling paint and a very loose cheap plastic toilet seat. Wifi connected easily but could not dependably support even Web browsing. Overall, it’s a poorly maintained hotel.

Fantastic service by the staff. Very accommodating. Allowed me to check out later due to a late-afternoon flight. Took care of all my needs when asked. Pet-friendly but very very clean and could not tell. Breakfast was 3-4 hours long so could sleep in. Price a bit high for this class of hotels but it was over Labor Day. Bottom line, I was pleasantly surprised, esp with courteous and accomodating staff, its peacefulness (no rowdy partying at night) and safety. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rooms are pretty standard, clean and breakfast has a good assortment of dishes to choose from. Front desk staff on the other hand… General demeanor is your imposing by asking questions, are curt and have given out false information regarding our stay and tax exemption status. We go over it multiple times over and over with the same morning personnel but they continue to not listen. It’s frustrating. We have to stay there due to our reservation system, and each and every time cringe when we travel to Gunnison being that we know it’s going to be a not so pleasurable encounter when we check in and out. Would stay elsewhere if we could and recommend others do the same. 2 stars due to poor desk staff interactions.

The room was clean but needs an upgrade. The mattresses are worn and firm. The air-conditioning was old and one setting didn’t work. The toilet had a hard time flushing. The lobby had some sort of spray that permeated throughout the hotel, and it gave me a headache. I did call for a late checkout because I wasn't feeling well and the manager accommodated my request even though they were nearly sold out. Also felt like the price for Friday night ( $269) was outrageous

Night time front desk guy was extremely friendly, nice, funny, and helpful. I had special circumstances on why we had to stay there, and he helped me with every accommodation he could. If this is what I can expect from Comfort Inn, I will he staying here again. Thank you for making one of the worst nights of my life just a little better.

The staff at this hotel are professional, kind and very helpful. The breakfast was very good and had a variety of food. The pool was clean but definitely very cold for an indoor pool. Luckily the had a large hot tub we could play in. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. My only complaint would be that the black out blinds weren’t very good but I’m sure not everyone prefers a pitch black room at night. It is walking distance to the store, a park and a walking trail.

This is an older hotel with not a lot of upgrades, however it's clean. The smell of fabuloso is a little overwhelming. The pool was closed for maintenance... But really it just looked like they didn't want to spend the money on running it there's a hose half in half out murky water not a good look. Breakfast buffet was good. Nothing spectacular the usual fair.

It was clean, the breakfast was great and easy in and out. The only downside was the very uncomfortable chairs. We had 2 queen beds with 2 small chairs. Good thing we weren't 4 people. Two of us would have had to sit on the floor!

Was told that the room we reserved two weeks ago was not available because the hôtel was "over booked"...no other explanation. Our only option was a smaller room. Not happy . Would prefer to give it no stars.

I give it 2 stars . One for the breakfast . 6:30 -9:30 during the week . Waffles w/ strawberry syrup , cereal biscuits and gravy and little cheese omelets , bagels creme cheese ,coffee juice and tea . 7:30 -10:00am on weekends . Second for the service . He gave us a rate of $160ish plus tax. I had pulled it up on the internet for $20.00 less . With no hesitation he gave me the room at the discounted price !! And he looked it up and booked it himself for me!! That was nice of him ! When I entered the pool and jacuzzi room it was dark and gloomy .paper circles were floating in jacuzzi and the water in pool was freezing cold and the water was foggy looking in the pool and jacuzzi . When I went to turn jacuzzi on... nothing !! The jacuzzi wasn't working the desk person finally tells me . I was very disappointed. That's why I pick hotel for the pool and jacuzzi's . There is a weight room out of the 3 machines one was broken . The bathroom has the sink outside of room where not so clean toilet and tub / shower are . No privacy that way . Our window had a big Crack in it. Overlooking a dirt lot w/ some home building going on. U have to drive to go anywhere from this Comfort Inn . Located on the out skirts of the town of Gunnison Co. They have wifi and internet and hbo

I want to report my last stay at Comfort Inn in Gunnison, is perhaps the worst hotel stay I've ever had. Starting at check-in, when I encountered a curt desk clerk named Rosa, to this morning's encounter with the new owner, this has been an awful, awful experience. After my wife was harassed for having our dog with us, to me photographing the piles of junk on the property, we have been met with an 'I don't care' attitude from all of the hotel personnel encountered. To the picture of the junk heap on the property, the owner literally said "are you staying there or in your room?? Is this how you treat a paying guest? This Comfort Inn has a new owner and I was informed, is under new management as of 3 months ago. I have stayed here 27x (we have family in the area) over the last year or so and I have never seen the hotel in such bad, neglected condition.

The room had a view of a couple neighbors junk yards. The pool and jacuzzi had covers on them but the owner said we could use them but they'd have to move the covers to the side. Ugh. The breakfast room was huge and I was looking forward to having many options in the morning. That didn't happen. I've seen hotel breakfasts with twice as much and half the space. I would stay here again but not expect too much

My last stay at Comfort Inn in Gunnison, is perhaps the worst hotel stay, I've ever had. Starting at check-in, when I encountered a curt desk clerk named Rosa, to an encounter with the new owner (Sonny Patel?), this has been an awful, awful experience. After my wife was harassed for having our dog with us, to me photographing the piles of junk on the property, we have been met with an 'I don't care' attitude from all of the hotel personnel encountered. To the picture of the junk heap on the property, the owner literally said "are you staying there or in your room?" To his point, when you're the guest of a hospitality organization, yes, you are staying not only in your room but on the grounds, in the pool and the exercise room. Now you don't expect much from a 'budget' chain, but this guy is charging well above the budget rates (257/night) and the hotel rooms are dated and dingy, the grounds heavily neglected, there are piles of garbage and junk on the grounds and the bare-bones amenities are falling apart. Housekeeping is available only upon request and you better read the note posted otherwise you're not informed. Four towels for two people over a 4/5 day stay? The list goes on and on. The bottom line is, when you check into a hotel, you want courteous, service-oriented people manning that hotel. They just need to do their jobs and then get out of the guests way. Not here though. Seems as though Sunny needs to go back to hospitality school instead of giving a hard time to guests.
