Avril made us feel very welcome, lovely place to stay and food really good. I would strongly recommend Avril’s guest house.

Stayed at Avrils on the 28th, 29th April. This was our base for a three day tour of The Somme. Arrived later than expected on Friday night to be greeted by Avril and a huge hot and cold buffet, red wine, white wine and beers. Avril and her son made us all feel very welcome and looked after. The b&b is very relaxed and perfect for anyone visiting the Somme area. Avril also kindly booked an auberge for dinner for our group. Highly recommended it is too. Be sure the explore the trenches in the b&b back garden, very interesting. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Avril Williams guest house to anyone. Thsnks so much from Nick Whalley, Stacey Batterbee, Nick Lingham, Phil Wilton, Paul Wills, Lee Nightingale and Kevin Batterbee.

Walking from my great Uncle's grave at Mailley Wood cemetery en route to Albert I stopped off at Ocean Villas for a coffee and a kit kat. Avril made me feel very welcome and we had a very pleasant chat in the tea rooms. Pity I had to go sooner than I would have liked due to my long walk back and I look forward to visiting the tea rooms for longer (to look at the museum) in the near future.

Great museum & a real WW1 trench there, well worth a visit. Drinks and food reasonably priced. This is well run by her & her son, very friendly people. I'm told it is very reasonable to book and stay if you wish to see the Somme area, this is a beautiful area to visit.

The rooms were very well equipped and furnished to a high standard, Avril and Mark did everything to make our stay a pleasure, the location was ideal for our trip. The museum, cellar and trenches are a must see.

Just had another beautiful stay with Avril, Mark and family. Always a must stop if touring the Somme. Good food, good company, good wine and a comfortable bed.

My brother in law and I returned to Avril's in April 2023, this time with our wives and my brother in laws little dog "Misty". As per our visit in Sept. 2022 we were all made very welcome. Avril and her son Mark went out of their way to assist us, by making a Vets appointment in Albert for Misty to get her medication for the journey home. Until the next time

Wonderful place to stay! It is out there, so you do have to look for it. Local knowledge of the area is very great! No need for a travel guide just ask the hotel owner, she knows all the amazing and impressive places to visit! The accommodation was perfect, nice recently finished room. Great place to use as a base for going near by places, most of my traveling was done by car.
