It was super crowded and tons of smokers. I loved the view, but overall people there are really not super kind, they just want your business and then they do not care about you. They are always pushing you to take a boat ride or to buy a tailored suit. But good food there, nice place to drink outside, good for young people ^^

Great to pop by to soak up the atmosphere. Many stalls but prices not displayed so I guess double standards for foreigners and Vietnamese. So I just windowed shop the entire area. Nevertheless, do drop by to have a look and enjoy the vibe of the area.

A nice market with many stalls and products displayed. The only problem here is that prices of the items are not displayed which means that a "sliding scale" model of pricing is applied. 😅 I personally did not buy anything here but enjoyed the short walk around looking at stuff. I do recommend it if you are in the area.

Night market is close to river and overall it was really beautiful. But the prices were too expensive , you have to bargain hard. Luckily we went to Mr. Roll stall no 36. He was such a gentleman. He gave us very very good price and we bought lot of good items from him. ( remember you still have to bargain).

Beautiful old town with a lot of restaurants, bars & shops along the river bank. It is so delightful & picturesque at night when all the lanterns are lit up all over the old town. It is a must do for anyone staying over at Hoi An. There is a night market here selling all kinds of food, souvenirs, bags & clothes. One thing to note is that bargaining is necessary & one should not feel compelled to buy. One should only buy when you think the final price is what you are willing to pay for the item.

A must see at night at least once if you are in Hoi an. The vendors and shops are okay, but the bridge and all the lanterns are the true highlight. It’s worth it to do the boat ride and set off a lit lantern. A very pretty sight and a lively vibe. Although the whole thing can be a bit overwhelming and take note that everything here is overpriced for tourists. Should barter for all items.

I am blessed to see this place, it was a beautiful lot of shops. It gives us a vibe of the extravaganza every moment. I love the food and the ambiance in this place. Also, this is a Unesco heritage site they try to preserve the town's ancient beauty. Boating in the river was really fun. Overall a must visit place in our lifetime.

The Hoi An market offers a serene escape from the bustling city, providing a picturesque setting for street shopping. It's a treasure trove of items like fridge magnets, dresses, lanterns, and various handicrafts. Bargaining skills come in handy here, as there's significant room for negotiating prices. Overall, the experience at this tranquil market was quite enjoyable.

Good market. We did not buy anything but at one end we had skewers of pork and beef with sensational fresh lime drinks. Lanterns were sensational unlike anywhere else in the world.

Simply incredible - the river view with the boats, lights, and architecture. The bustling streets, delicious foods, quirky souvenir stalls. A unique experience that I would recommend to all visiting the area! Do walk further away from the main street for great shopping deals!

A nice enclave of old buildings that is nicely restored or preserved for all to view. It is worth the Unesco heritage certification, and the commerce is vibrant. The trader will politely market their trade but not too harsh, so it feel just right. They will ask while you walk along but will not be too persistent. The food varieties are many and mild in taste which suit many travellers. A truly pleasant visit.

Hoi an night market is one of the best locations in Vietnam. If you visit Vietnam, you should visit here. There are so many vibes in here with local street foods and restaurants and other fancy shops, music, and night boat rides for really low cost. Do not go there in day time, the night is the best, also you can find Indian restaurant as well.

Jan, probably one of the best time to visit hoi an. Weather is under 20 degrees and walking in such a weather is such a breeze. However you will need to tussle with the many tourist who also think the same. There's plenty of cafe, food around and I enjoyed the slow walk around the city. Suggest you spend the day here. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.

Beautiful place to chill out at evening. Boat ride is nice to make your evening romantic. Street food is good too and cheap if you want to try. All cafe's are very beautiful facing the lake,

Oh the vibe of this place ❤️ Stayed in Hoi An for 5 days and came for a stroll here 3-4 times. The music, food and shops... Everything is amazing. And of course the iconic lanterns!

It’s all about the vibe. Vibe of this place is extraordinary. Pretty much crowded but you will definitely love this place. They have amazing food options and coffee shops all over the market. Best thing about this place is sunset and lanterns. I have visited this place with my parents. Amazing experience.

Beautiful area, lots of happening if you like with plenty of coffee shops and live bands. Love this vibrant steak though it's crowded. The lantern makes the place mystical at night.

Beautiful night scene and view of the river, buildings and lanterns that fill the night with colours! Night market a good place to shop for souvenirs, gifts, and opportunity to practice bargaining skills. Restaurants, pubs and bars to enjoy the evening with friends or family. Must go.

This market comes alive after about 7:00 pm until about 10:00 pm. There are many carts selling souvenirs, street food, children's toys, etc. There are many shops selling clothes and other goods. The atmosphere is lively and festive. There are boats with colorful lanterns on the river. It does make a spectacular sight. The pictures don't do justice to it.

We were lucky to visit there during festival season end of August. It was lively, colorful, mystical and historic. An ancient Japanese, Chinese trading site still preserves its heritage. During the festival season the canal is full of boots with Chinese candles and many concerts take place with singers from Vietnam, Japan and China.
