Absolutely 6 star hotel service in Khai homestay. The owner Hoanh went out of his way to help in every way imaginable and beyond. He responded to messages quickly and addressed all my questions in details, and provided great guidance in touring the city. He was so generous, genuinely kind and gracious. Hoanh was a foodie and he recommended a series of local eateries only locals would go. The food serviced were all delicious and cheap. I tried all his recommendations and all were amazingly tasty. The house was impeccably clean and comfortable. It was tucked away deep in an alley besides a temple and the famous market. It was also close to the bus station to the airport; to all the major attractions, restaurants, street foods and shops. Despite of its central location, the accommodation was very quiet. For the shared bathroom, you really just share with another guest on the same floor. The clean lady cleaned the washroom at all times so it was spotless. She was so kind with a sweet smile on her face; and she did terrific jobs by cleaning , helping with luggage and many other things. This is the best accommodation I stayed traveling in the south east Asia for the past 4 months. I will definitely stay here again when returning to Hanoi.

Recommended homestay around Old Quarter, Hanoi. Service: Very professional and wonderful service from Mr. Hoanh and the housekeeper. I was kinda lost in the beginning of alley (the pinpoint in Google maps was not really accurate), but thankfully Mr. Hoanh found me and help me to get to the homestay safely. He also helped me to book the car to go to Noi Bai airport for the next morning. Room: A nice room equipped with a queen size bed and balcony. The bathroom is on the outside of the room, but very clean. Location: Just across the Dong Xuan market and near the Old Quarter, very convinient. Thanks, I will stay here again if I have opportunity to visit Hanoi next time 😁

We had an amazing time at Khai's! The whole family was very welcoming and made us feel at home. They helped us with laundry, booking activities and getting a car to the airport. The homestay is located in a quiet alley just outside of the Old Quarter, which was ideal for us, and the room was very nice. Thank you for making our week in Hanoi so great!

Stayed just overnight but the location was excellent and rooms spacious, clean and tidy. What made our stay exceptional was our host. He offered us food recommendations AND was generous enough to help us restart our SIM cards by calling the phone company for us!

Beautiful heritage cottage. So big rooms and nice view. Mr. Hoanh is so kind and helpful. He absolutely made our stay feel like home away from home. Will definitely recommend staying here. You can experience the local culture and busy old quarter area.

The location is near Al Noor Mosque, Zaynab Halal Restaurant, and Hilltop Curry, so I highly recommend it to Muslims who travel to Ha Noi. The owner was so nice and kind, we love their hospitality. The room is also clean, and they clean the bathroom regularly (so even if the bathroom is shared with the room next to you, it is still ok). If someday I back to Ha Noi, I definitely will come back to this Homestay

This property exceeded my expectations. The location was ideal for exploring the area on foot and the accessibility to the airport was a plus. The facilities were exceptional, with attention to detail in the amenities provided. The room size was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this property for its value for money and would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic experience at this homestay. The host Hoanh is there to help you in every possible way and the accomodation is nice and clean. There's a bathroom for every floor of the building so you only share it with who occupies the other room on your floor (It actually felt like my personal toilet since I've never seen anyone else use it in 4 days). The place is right in the city center, in front of a local market and at a walkable distance from different landmarks of Hanoi. I'll definitely stay here again if I revisit Hanoi in the future.

Super nice and friendly host. The room is clean, great location as it’s not far from all the attractions you may wanna visit, but not in super busy and noisy setup. Can’t recommend more!

A 5 star experience. A very sweet family runs this homestay which is minutes away from the airport shuttle stop and right next to many tourist destinations and local food and drink stores. It is in a small alley so you get away from the noise. The house was very clean and the room now was nicely set up for what one will need for a comfortable stay. Huanh the owner was very attentive and shared many information about local attractions and Vietnamese culture. He offered me fruits and ride to market and bus station graciously. It really helped that he spoke very good English. It's the highlight of my Hanoi trip. 100% recommend.

The staff were very very kind and go out of their way to help you. The rooms have a European feel and the bed was the comfiest I’ve slept on in Asia. This place was sparkling clean as well. The wifi worked great and because of the digital keypad on the front door you can come and go anytime you like. When you first arrive they will drop you off on a super busy, loud street. Once you go down the alley to the home stay you will realize that it’s super quiet and peaceful. The location was perfect for exploring the old quarter. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Really friendly owners. The rooms are clean and they reply quickly to Whatsapp. They don't force tours or anything on you which is a plus. It has a working kitchen and fridge if you need it for something. The dorms has an amazing view of the temple next door.

This place is located near the dong xuan market (in the north side). The host will inform you the detail of the location with picture. The alley is next to some temple (if i am not mistaken), just go inside until the end and you will see the Khai plate in your left.. The house is clean, the room is neat, it have a ceiling fan and AC, WIFI, outdoor small sink, a refrigerator/cooler for your drink/food, some toiletries & ammenities, and plenty of free water. They will provide you with inside slippers. There is also a sleeper in the bathroom. The host and his family is caring and friendly. He give a reccommendation for some restaurant. There was a paper in the room showing places to visit in Hanoi city and the price of another services they offered like a laundry for VND 15K per kilo. My day always started with milk coffee and banana even though i coming out late before noon. He offered me a towel if i want to take a bath before i leave in the evening since i already checked out in the afternoon and left my luggage there for a while. He supplied me with another water and snack for my flight. He gave me a ride to the bus station and wait until the bus coming. Vegan Restaurant Reccomendation : 43 Hang be or you can search Katze Vegan & Vegetarian restaurant. They served you generous portion (with 4 side dish) and many menu of tasty homemade dish (plant based).

The host Hoanh has been very helpful and hospitable. The rooms are clean and the location is perfect specially on a hot summer day. It is walking distance from most of the sights and you can rent their scooters to ride around town. Highly recommended.

The best place for the market goers as this homestay is located in the middle of the market. Therefore, it is very convenient to visit the Hanoi market. In addition, this place is well equipped with nice facilities such as dryer, geyser etc. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. They provide all the valuable information about Hanoi and Vietnam.

I love how this place is tucked away in the alley, right in the middle of a market. You're right at the market at night and that is so convenient. The coffee in the morning is wonderful Vietnamese drip coffee. The free water was extremely helpful. The child is so cute and kind, giving apples as a gift when he saw us randomly. Internet works well, hot water works well. Can't ask for more.

My partner and I stayed here only for 1 night and we loved it. The bathrooms were always super clean as they were cleaned regularly. We wanted to come back again after going to Sapa and Ha Giang but they were unfortunately booked out for the dates we wanted. Khai was great and helped us re new our Vietnam SIM cards as the 30 days had expired and everything was in Vietnamese. Such a lovely family! We will definitely book here if we ever come to Hanoi again.

The hostel is at the center of the hustling and bustling city. You can easily explore the old quarter by yourself and see a lot of things from food to clothing and all sorts. The Host is very very helpful and very kind. The homestay location is quiet and homie. The Sevice is oustanding Vietnamese hospitality. I would highly recommend khai hostel and come back. The hostel is suitable for couple and solo travellers. To Tuan, the wife and thier son Khai thank you for the warm welcome and taking care of me during my stay. Until we meet again 🇻🇳⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ i give you a 6 star!!!

We just left Khai’s Homestay. The location is ideal for exploring the old quarter. Khai was very sweet and willing to help make our stay the best it could be. He arranged our transportation for a reasonable rate and was kind to share his day to day life with us. He also checked in with us each day to make sure that our accommodations met our expectations. Highly recommended!
