Excellent gateway and onsen place! The tatami room was spacious. The mini-split was quite powerful to heat the whole room nicely. and the onsen was nice and it's by reservation (50 min each day for each room) The traditional dinner and breakfast was modestly elaborate and very delicious. Definitely a place to relax after being in Tokyo for a while. It's also not too far away from Gotemba Premium Outlet.

There was one member of the staff (the man working in the evening) who significantly impacted my stay in a negative way. Despite some positive aspects, I cannot overlook the disappointing encounters I had with this particular staff member. He was rude, not helpful and disrespectful. The hotel is pretty isolated from everything so you will need help from the personal and this specific one was a nightmare. In the opposite, the lady (working in the morning) was very helpful and respectful. Unfortunately I don't recommend and we will not come here again if this guy is still around.

Nice rooms with the view of greenery. I think it's newly renovated or very well kept. Nice attached tiolet. Quiet place. Location is not ideal for access to any where. Unless you want to hike around the area. Private onsen only. One bath per day per room, which is limiting. Onsen is nice with a indoor and outdoor pool. Water is at 41C...not as hot. The private setting is good. There are 2 private onsen rooms and our neighbouring private onsen was chatting away noisely. Very friendly staff, helpful in providing advice. Especially the restaurant waitress from Nepal. Food serving is plentiful. Strict timing for meals which is not as flexible. Dinner is similar day to day, I wouldn't recommend having too many dinners at the hotel. You will be bored.

I don't know if I got bed bug bites or the worst mosquito attack of my life. One night and I woke up completely covered in bites. It's been a week since I left and it's the itchiest worst insect bites of my life. Rooms are super rated but it wasnt bad. I couldn't book a private onsen because at that time no one at the front desk spoke English. The hotel itself is very beautiful and great location. They spend the money on everywhere but the actual rooms that people stay in. Onsen was beautiful

A great traditional Japanese hotel. With the reservation breakfast and dinner are included. You will need to talk with the front desk every day to set up those times. Also there are two Onsens on the property and you are able reserve for an hour each evening that you stay there. The onsen is private and there is an indoor and outdoor part to each one. Onsens are without clothing just so you know. Dinner and breakfast are both traditional so if you are looking for western breakfast this is not the place but the food was really good. Staff was super friendly in the restaurant a few people spoke English some did not speak any. If you stay multiple days the dinner and breakfast will change, but there is no menu. They give you traditional clothing to wear around to meals, the onsen or wherever on the property. To get to this place you will need to take a bus if you do not have a car and then approximately a 10 min walk from bus station. It’s fairly simple but if you have a lot of bags it would be difficult. The place is relatively remote so there are not tons of dining options directly next to it. I would return.

A cozy and compact Ryokan with highlight of great food and delightful onsen. There are about 9-10 rooms with traditional setting. 2 onsen baths with available for private use for 50min each. The onsen on left on entrance is good for 4, and the one on the right is good for 3. There are 2 baths in each onsen rooms. One inner with clear water, one outer with volcanic water whitish. Temperature at 42°C, both. The food, both breakfast and dinner, should be describe as feast. Presentation is also amazing to the eye. I will let the photos speak for themselves. The menu is on 3 days rotation. So plan your stay. It's a about 5-10 walk from nearest bus stop if you are taking public transportation. Lawson and Family Mart also 10 min walk away.

one of our best experience in Japan. if you are planning to visit Hakone this should be a must in your trip! From Togendai station (last ropeway station) you can get a bus and it takes around 20 min to the hotel and 5 min walking. You can take a bus from Odawara station as well. The onsen were awesome. you will have some slots to choose and they give you the opportunity to do it twice (night and morning). The room was clean, and good views. The dinner and breakfast were an incredible experience, tradicional meals and the staff were very kind. everything was perfect! thank you so much!

Friendly owner(s), outdoor onsen was absolutely amazing, rooms were really nice and I had a beautiful view. Breakfast was some of the best that I had in Japan. Highly recommend!
