•Location is OK, nearby restaurants are very mediocre, especially the one beside it. 5 minute walk skii rentals are a plus. •Hotel Lounge was a joke, it was set up inside an extra conference room in a feeble way with arbitrary drinks and a couple of convenience store nuts. •Food is expensive because place is secluded about 7usd for a glass of milk. Restaurant inside had good food few years ago. Not sure presently. •3rd time here, same month on different years, staff last year were great. Staff this year (Dec 2022) horrendously sarcastic, not familiar with how lounge works for Ambassador and Platinum members. Unpleasant/ off-putting. Reception staff member (short haired woman) avoid as she can be excessively sarcastic. •Clean crisp rooms! Early check-in was possible. •Internet is 5mbps or lower in my room with weak connection. I couldn't maintain a decent phone call via WhatsApp. •Ski Lockers are a plus and shuttle service was great for pick up. tldr 2/5: could've justified price if staff were better trained, less rude, and better lounge amenties. Otherwise avoid overpaying during the holidays.

I recently stayed at Hakuba Courtyard Marriott Hotel and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The hotel's location was unbeatable - with easy access to all the major attractions. But what really stood out to me was the amazing service provided by the staff members. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The ambience of the hotel was also top-notch. Overall, I highly recommend Hakuba Courtyard Marriott Hotel for anyone looking for a great stay in Hakuba.

No idea why some people rate five stars on them. I have reserved from their web site excited to spend three nights with my wife on holiday. They claimed that only one person reserved and need to charge extra fee for my wife when we checked in. I asked them to double check if I had accidentaly reserved only one person before proceed to charge on my credit card but a different staff came out and the person started to speak to us as if we are criminals or something with no intention of trying to make clear what made this situation. I have never been treated like they did before. The manager came out to sort this out but I didn't think we can spend great time with them after the bad interaction so we canceled the booking and left. Luckily we found an alternative hotel nearby but almost ruined our holiday. Very sad rather than disappointed.

Preface, my family is from Okinawa, Japan, and we had a fun vacation Hokkaido a few years ago, and my children enjoy the snow. In my research I found two Marriott hotels in Nagano, yet the Courtyard Hakuba is just bellow the ski jump from the 1998 Winter Olympics' so I felt this was a great start. We stayed 19-23 Nov 23. Courtyard was a great launch point for all of our adventures. The date above is before the ski season, yet ripe for fall colors at lower altitude, and a chance of snow, which we experience the first night, and quite magical. I am a Gold member and received a room upgrade on check in which featured an in room Onsen or natural spring, which our entire family loved, and pictured bellow. Step one take off all your clothes Step two take a shower, wash hair, and rinse, Step three step into the Onsen and you can adjust the temperature using the knob near the tub. Step Three Soak and what is cool, no pun intended is you can have a nice drink as well. Step four shower again.

It was ok overall. It’s a good location to ski area. Rooms are ok, but somewhat dated. Even though it’s a newer property, rooms and hallway are worn and look used. Staff leave items in the hallways during the day, which makes it cluttered and unsightly. Customer service is ok, but inconsistent. There are a lot of men just standing around. They seem unwelcoming and unfriendly. A small local tax is charged to customers, which the hotel should just cover in my opinion. Breakfast is quite good. There is a lot of variety.

We stayed 2 nights in the ski season 23-24. Love their service if you recognise this is a courtyard. Room is nice and warm. Onsen is great after day of activity. They also have coin washing machines for guest to use. Highly recommend if you manage to book at a good rate.

We had a great time at the Marriott! The staff are friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The hotel is full of examples of going the extra mile and providing a special experience for the guests. The food in the restaurant was delicious, the room with private onsen was great for our whole family and we will definitely stay at the Marriott again.

Very special day at this cozy and luxurious place, coz my girl said yes to merry me! Thanks to all lovely staff here, especially Kaho Yamamoto, we had a wonderful time here. Yamamoto and her team are very kind and patient. They decorated the room, brought the roses and everything was done like good friends will do. Again, want to say big thanks to every staff who helped us!

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Hakuba!! The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with a private hot spring in the bathroom🤩 It was quite convenient to walk to the Echoland area with lots of great restaurants. Also there was a free shuttle from the hotel to Hakuba47/Goryu where we skiied. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice, they truly went above and beyond to help us anytime we had questions and were just lovely people. I loved my stay here so much that I was so sad to leave! The cherry on top was when we left, I forgot my passport and a bag of personal belongings in our room and the staff literally drove to meet us at the train station to give me these items. Incredible hospitality. If I could give this place 6/5 stars I would!! Cannot recommend enough. Next time we are in Hakuba I will absolutely be staying here!

Even though it is rated as 4 stars hotel but there is no baggage carry service. The worst is our room is 4 people family which provided twin beds and 2 futons. Unbelieveable that there is no service to make futon beds. Certainly you have to help yourself.

Nice hotel situated in the Ski Resort area of Hakuba. Has a nice lounge area and recommend the restaurant. Good perks if you are BonVoy Platinum, Titanium or Ambassador

Beautiful property at a great location, just a walk away from Echoland which is a happening area in Hakuba for eating out. We had a pleasure to stay here for a week and we fell in love with the food, hospitality and the stay. The rooms are well maintained with all modern amenities. The room with a private onsen was totally a bliss as we could enjoy a bath in hot spring after a fun day in snow. Major ski resorts have their shuttle pick-up right outside Courtyard so that was a plus too. The restaurant serves Japanese as well as western cuisines and everything was prepared with perfection. Totally recommend staying at this property if you are going to Hakuba.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very attentive. They even brought us umbrellas when we arrived in middle of a down pour. The onsen was not very large and felt more like a sento with an out door bath but none the less was relax partially due to its cleanliness. My only real complaint was that for the price we paid each night I expected a slightly larger, in room, bathroom. The bathroom is more akin to what you would find in a business hotel. It's a tight fit getting out of the shower as I smashed my knee pretty bad on the sink because there just much space to get out.

For us, the location wasn't ideal. Walking around the neighborhood isn't pleasant as there are many run-down houses and properties. The hotel is nearly new (stayed in June 2022) and the rooms have a nice Japanese-style section. The hot springs were basic but nice.

Terrible hotel - no heating available on cold days or when there’s heavy snow. Hotel only offered 2 tiny heated blankets for 4 people, or a room change to another room that doesn’t have heating too. How ridiculous! The heated blankets barely fit an adult, more for kids. TLDR: 600usd per night for a room without heating

Exceptional service and staff. Great location, spacious and clean room. Good indoor and outdoor onsen with 24hr gym and laundry service.
