Such a very nice place with excellent customer service from all staff members from the entrance of the hotel to the security when leaving. I was greeted, temperature checked and hand sanitized at the door. Entrance was very picturesque and the cleaned in my observation continuously. Very attractive and filled with beautiful chandeliers, even in the bathrooms. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. Everyone was kind, professional and hospitable. All prices for food was quoted in US dollars- good for me as I used my card with ease. I recommend a visit. I will return.

Honestly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The ambience was amazing, the staff were incredible, and the location was gorgeous. The estate is expensive and has so much to offer - pool, casual elegance restaurant (wait is can be long for food and wait staff, but I didn’t mind. My friends did become agitated), lounge (we did see a water bug/roach on the couch area we were sitting at so that was off putting and the only notable issue), casino, beautiful grounds to walk, and it’s great for content creation. I stayed with friends for my birthday week (6/20-6/25) and HIGHLY recommend. Felicia was such an incredible help and great personality. All of the staff were just - yes. It’s worth it. Kingston has a lot more to offer than it gets credit for and this hotel is one of its gems. We received fresh cookies every night! It’s near Devon house (walking distance) so you can reach it for the tour and delicious ice cream. Again, I highly recommend. Safety is high on their list. You have to have a key to enter suite areas and press a button to exit. I felt secure and very welcome!

When we arrived we were immediately met by the friendly bellhop who helped us to our room. The front desk was absolutely pleasant and courteous. Our room was ready early as we called ahead to let them know we would be coming ahead of check in. They also were willing to hold our bags if it wasn't available. The bellhop brought us to our room and helped us up the stairs (no elevators). The room was very beautiful. The bathroom had a standing shower, the closet had it's own lights and were large. The layout was beautiful. Unfortunately the room was missing a hair dryer but they were prompt in resolving minor issues. We were there for a milestone birthday, so we just went to the hall which was set up by the pool outside, it was very elegant. The pool itself was nice, located next to it was the gym which was small but well organized. They have beautiful koi ponds surrounding the building. We were there for 1 night but in the day they had a live band for lunch in the hall next to it. I was only disappointed by booking it online and taxes were not factored in the price so it was slightly higher than I anticipated, but other than that the experience was very enjoyable.

Hands down best hotel breakfast in Kingston although they did eliminate the breakfast buffet due to the Covid protocol and it still has not returned as of September of 2022. Rooms are spacious and clean even through they look old school but classic. The Regency bar is attached to the hotel and also a good old school haunt with a good crowd on Thursday nights.

This hotel is clean, with bright rooms, great customer service, and adequately staffed. The staff, including bellman, restaurants servers, grounds keepers, and housekeeping are all ready and willing to take care of you. They are attentive and willing to assist you, (this is not one of the strong suits for the Jamaican customer service industry), with your every need. I recommend this hotel when visiting Kingston, Jamaica.

This was some what disappointing food journey but the staff are amazing but the food did not live up to the hype. The starter which the Jerk Chicken Confit was hands down amazing. The main course which I was most excited for was such a disappointment. I really love Rack of Lamb and this was so sad. The lamb could have been seasoned more, the roasted garlic mashed potatoes were dry so never bothered with that but the Exotic Greens with Seasonal Fruit Vinaigrette was bomb that salad was everything. The Desserts were to die for the Cheesecake was what you expect and then more and the Crème Brûlée exceeded all expectations.

Conveniently located near the Central Business District in New Kingson, directly opposite the Devon house. We'll run hotel with a warm, friendly and welcoming ambiance. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with firm beds. Staff are excellent!!! Really good dining options from the restaurant and Terrace bar, which had a lively atmosphere. Overall excellent!!!

We had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel. We would recommend and definitely return. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were very accomodating and welcoming, from reception to dining. The pool was beautiful, there's also a gym available. Car parking was good. They had live jazz music the night we arrived, sadly we missed it, after we had checked in. Go there u will not be disappointed!

We spent 3 nights here in 2022. The hotel is quaint and has the classic look. My mother loved the decor, although to me it's a bit dated. Very clean rooms with fridge and cable tv. We didn't stay in the room, only to sleep and bathe therefore, the furniture was not an issue for us. Breakfast was delicious. Jamaican classics and some American foods for my picky child. Parking is a little hard after hours, as the restaurant tends to be busy but that's the least. Housekeeping staff is helpful. Front desk not so much, but again not important to me! Just give me my room keys and have a great day 😂.

I find that despite being located on a busy thoroughfare, the property is actually very quiet. There is this air of stillness about the place that is very relaxing. My actual visit did not involve interacting with reception nor utilising the rooms. Upon first entering the property, we were redirected to the parking lot across the road from the hotel. Shuttle service was provided to transport us to and from the property to the parking lot, which ensures the safety of patrons as the road is extremely busy. The conference room we were in was very cozy and cold as multiple air conditioning units were on. I was less than impressed with blue bathroom facilities available to the guest of the workshop. The food on offer and the service were sub-standard. But, I did love the lushness and quietness of the property. I love the variety of flora that was used to enhance the property.

I went for a business lunch recently and we ate at the restaurant inside. The food was ok. I loved the mac and cheese and the fresh bread that we got with the soup. I didn't love the curry goat and rice and peas though. I would order something freshly made next time. Maybe a salad or a sandwich because I'm not a fan of pasta other than mac and cheese. Great customer service. Jada was our server and she did an excellent job. She was polite and alert. I also interacted with Navario Johnson at the front desk. Polite young man. Overall great service. Didn't love the food I got though. Wouldn't recommend to a foodie. Or would love if someone could recommend something great off the menu. I didn't find it to be very interesting.

Luxurious, elegant, masterful, nostalgic, lush, beautiful, historical, timeless, relaxing, chill and awe-inspiring. Also, they don't have cooks; they have chefs who truly understand Culinary Arts. I love this place and anxiously await revisiting.

I normally go for Sunday Brunch and the food is amazing. But dinner was horrible. Not sure what happened that night. I add the pictures and you can see there was nothing even visually appealing about the food. I had the risotto and ask them to add shrimp. I ate the shrimp but left the risotto. Not sure I would be back for dinner. But Sunday brunch never disappointed.

Attended a wedding here recently. The Pavilion was well decorated, staff was quickly able to reorient the room to accomodate a necessary change. Waitstaff were on point in all aspects, Supervisor did a very good job. Food was tasty and sufficient. Without a doubt a location that delivered in all areas.

The food was well presentable and delicious. Their lobster was everything. We had made a reservation for 8pm but we got there late. The kitchen was closing soon but they were very courteous. They got us seated and took our orders. The staff was commmendable. The chef, the waiters, the receptionist were all friendly. Thank you for having us. We had an amazing dinner. Plus we had the restaraunt to ourselves🙂

The customer service was poor. We had a staff party there in December 2023 and the event started almost 3 hours late. Some of the foods were done although we paid to cater for more than the number of guests that were there.

I recently stayed at the Terra Nova hotel. Upon arriving I was greeting by one of the ladies who kindly helped out the taxi with my bags. I was quickly taken care of at the reception desk then the bellman helped me in the room and showed me around the room. He was kind. The room looked more modern than the pictures online. The bathroom shower however could use some more cleaning. It had mold stains on the floor. The next day I had breakfast in the dining room . I ordered from the buffet menu that they have which is free for in house guest and the food was delicious except the fruit plate. The fruits were cold and dry. I probably ate the pineapple and that was enough for me. I also wish the waiters were a little bit more friendly and act like they enjoy their job. The next morning I had breakfast again and ordered similar items and food was the sane food from yesterday just warmed up in Jamaica we call it "overnight food" I felt offended but I had to rush to the airport so I didn't have time to say anything I just ate some and left. Overall I would stay here again if they make se improvements.

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean. Safe & Secure with Security. Safe in rooms. Great food, etc. Would recommend to anyone who hasn't been. Only recommendation I have is, Bring Back the Buffet Breakfast and NEED to Install mirror when exiting property into traffic.

Went to a workshop at the Pavilion. Bathrooms by the pool were dirty. Lunch served as buffet. Bread came to the tables after meal was finished. Only a few tables got soup, which was also served after the main course. One positive was that the food was tasty.

The service I received at Terra Nova was definitely not the service I expected. Now I know not to ever spend my money there nor recommend to my friends and family. I put 1 star as I could not give a 0 rating. a) Future guests please ensure you literally tell the front desk you are checking out even if you clear out everything from the room by check out time. With the hotel having your credit card information at check in along with your signature apparently is not enough to charge your card when you drop off keys at reception. b) Double check your bill as management may say one thing and do something completely different without informing you. c) Don't show up early for breakfast. d) Don't expect management to be

I came here for a New Year's Eve celebration. The place was NOT full. Staff could have been short handed due to the holiday but to the naked eye it didn't appear that way. Sat for over an hour. No one came to our table. I went to the bar. Stood for twenty minutes (hoping I could get my own drinks, no one ever bothered to come) no matter how much I stood there or tried to get anyone's attention. I was also told by a waiter they didn't know who was in charge of my table when I finally got someone's attention and that they had their own tables to deal with so they couldn't even bring me water. I would say 0/0 service but there actually was NO SERVICE AT ALL. I've been to over 50 countries worldwide since I am an avid traveler and NEVER have I not even been acknowledged after an hour. Not even water?! Worse how I had my mother with me and we wanted to ring in the new year together for the first time in a while. Disappointed isn't even the word. What a tragic way to ring in the new year. If I could give you negative ten stars I would and would NEVER recommend anyone to come here.

Did brunch on Sunday and as usual there was a wide array of delicious food to choose from. Can I say that I was full when I left? Lol. The atmosphere was lovely, just right to sit around and chat with friends.

Sadly sliding down hill and overpriced. Check in was ridiculously lengthy and drawn out. Although we were checking in late afternoon our rooms were not ready. Second time this has happened to us at TN and with the same desk manager. Both times his manner has been defensive and deceptive - not at all welcoming. How about an honest apology, maybe even the offer of a drink at the bar while we wait? When we finally got to our rooms the cleaning staff were still rushing to finish. The guest rooms are OK - could do with better lighting and beginning to show wear and tear, e.g., somewhat musty bed cover, malfunctioning shower head, coffee maker and iron and cracked bathroom tiles. While it's good to see TN is still a popular event venue the late night noise is horrible if you're trying to sleep. Staff here used to be friendly and strongly service oriented. Now the breakfast, dining and room service is very slow to the point of inconvenience, e.g., it took FOUR requests and over 12 hours to have the faulty in room coffee maker and iron replaced. Also worth noting, at check in they not only immediately hold the entire stay (full room rate & all charges) on your card, they also block a nightly charge of US$89 to cover incidentals that "you might incur" and claim that it's common practice in all hotels in Jamaica. Not true. On check out, they will reverse the charge but "it could take up to 5 days to show in your account." Not a good experience and makes you wonder What is going on at this place?

The Terra Nova’s Regency restaurant website has no mention that it had a formal dress code and that you will be refused entrance if you don’t follow this mystery, unpublicized dress code. I was turned away for wearing normal khaki shorts and a normal collared short-sleeve polo shirt. I took a taxi to get to this restaurant for dinner on a Friday night - and I was both surprised by the dress code and the brusqueness with which I was turned away by the maitre d’. The restaurant was completely empty of diners apart from 2 customers - maybe it would do better without the mystery secret dress code and the rude service ?

Attend a wedding there recently (this weekend to be exact), the customer service was extremely poor. There was 2 particular waiter/waitress that was absolutely rude. You asked question regarding what you're been serve and the respond was as if you're begging something. I wouldn't want them to serve my enemy, they are also unpleasant. Tacky service, Lord help those 2 workers, you give the place bad names.

I had a wedding recently and it was ok but I am disappointed that I paid $30,000.00 to utilize a section of the venue for my ceremony and didn't get to use it because it was extremely "melting hot" and my guests would have had a heat stroke or something. The Hotel didn't even give me back a cent for not using the spot.

This matter will be escalate to the highest level. I checked in around 4.30pm on June 30th, my first encounter with a front desk receptionist was unpleasant, body language and facial expression says a lot. I settled in my room, sink and sofa was dirty which I pointed out to front desk staff and housekeeper. The housekeeper said she will clean it tomorrow, I told her fine. I ordered a meal around 8pm..it was delivered around 9: 20pm. I began eating and bit into something very hard, I thought it was a piece of bone, I took it out my mouth and a close observation , it turns out to be a small stone place in my rice, I was so shocked!! But what made it worse was the demeanor of the concierge manager, Ollien Gordon, he took the matter lightly and further stated that he could booked me another hotel if I like as I was so shocked, He took the stone from me and offered another meal, then a deceptive grin on his face as if it was planned, because I originally raised concerns about the dirty chair and sink and other matters so I believe the stone was intentionally placed in my food. I checked out immediately!! Ollien Gordon you will be hearing from me , deceptive!!.

I visited Regency Bar and Lounge. I had their Red Peas soup and Blended Fruit Punch wasn't a fan of it as they were both a bit bland in flavour but their Escoveitch Platter with a variety of seafood was great and the ambience in general was nice and they also adhered to safety protocols upon entry.

Loved the loaded fries. I had the endless cocktails - they don't skimp on the alcohol content, for sure, so if you're looking for a buzz, you can achieve that quickly. The wait time was short and the waitress were pretty attentive- looking out for when you needed a refill. The ambiance is nice. It was a good experience. If you have a big group- you may have to get separate tables.

A nice venue for all types of events. Staff are generally friendly and courteous. Usually ample parking available. Food for the most part is great. My 1 challenge with all of these places is lack of good quality tasting vegetarian options... I struggle to find food to eat whenever I go out for fine dining, so I don't much. I am longing for the day Jamaica recognizes that there are actually people who don't consider fish as an option when we speak vegetarian...

  • 5/5 Joni P. 2 years ago on Google
The food was awesome. The chef was on point with all varieties of dishes. Presentation was heavenly. The escargot and seafood dishes were delectable, not overcooked and seasoned just right. The chicken salad had a mixture of fresh fruits and vegetable with freshly fried jamaican green plantains. I have to mention that the chicken breast was so tender it was almost unrecognizable. This experience was a gastronomical delight. The waiters were polite and attentive. It was an excellent outing this time around.

My godson and I had brunch here. It was an AMZING experience. The food was phenomenal, and the service was top notch. I have to make special mention of our waiter Maurice. Staff is really the best part of this hotel. I’ve stayed here enough that the staff knows me well. I fell safe here it’s almost a hidden gem. Breakfast is always good to me and menu items are cool. BUT the dining room service is beyondddd slow and underwhelming. The rooms are clean (my last experience the room smelled funky but clean).

Had breakfast and it was great. Love the atmosphere, the service was on point! Got an ackee and salt fish breakfast for $23usd. It came with a fruit plate, cantaloupe, melons and pineapple. Sorry I didn’t get to take any pictures… I had started eating when I remembered.

Customer service was great, the service overall wasn't as good due to wait time. We spent ahout 2 hours waiting for our meal after ordering. When it did came we regret not getting up to go dine somewhere else. The food was HORRIBLE! Would not recommend it. The area is beautiful though. Thanks to the gentle men that sang "happy birthday" that was a nice touch that I truly appreciated!

n hour ago on Google Very wack. Where do I even start. Initially, made the reservation with Paula who insisted that per terra nova policy we pay 3000 per head to confirm reservation. It was 5 of us so that was 15000. She mention that 15000 will go to our final bill. Anyhow, waiter hardly visit our table. After waiting for a while.. he finally came and say “you ready, you guys ready” so unprofessional! No introduction nothing. We gave him our order and our appetizer took 42 mins to reach to our table. Not to mention, two of them that I had to remind him of. For entree we ordered 3 rack of lamb, chicken and filet mignon. Everything tasted burnt and very hard to chew. We had to bring back 2 of our drinks. Bare in mind, I’m assuming it’s the manager, very light skin lady with AirPods in her ears casually walking by our table looking at us disgruntled and address other tables which she think was okay. We complained to our server.. no manager to emphasize on the nasty service we received. Regardless of the service and the awful food.. we got our bill. The 15000jmd that Paula insist on us paying was not deducted from the bill that she said would. We explained that to our server and he brought out a new bill. Not to mention, they had extra wine that we did not drink to the bill. I could go on and on about the service that I received tonight. Very disappointed by the unprofessional conduct from the wait staff and the managers, specially that light skin chick. I must commend the gentleman who checked up on us. I would not recommend this place. I’ve been here twice and this wasn’t my experience. Tonight was my last night

Great accommodation. Staff were friendly, helpful and showcased exceptional customer service. Room service was timely, meals were well done (4 stars) just need to work on accuracy in meal orders delivered. Amenities on point. COVID-19 measures were properly adhered to. It's also close to the airport, Knutsford Express, and other locales such as Devon House (about 10-15 mins walking distance). Overall a very good stay, relaxing environment, affordable pricing and good for whether you want a quick retreat or just stopping over for a business trip.

Spectacular experience. The staff were top notch and very accommodating. My flight arrived an hour before curfew and well after the on-site restaurant closed. I was able to pre-order our meals which were served hot and bursting with flavor after 11 pm when we checked in and settled into our room. Critique? Dated fixtures in the bathroom and the shower stall was certainly in need of regrouting. However, it did not detract from the charm of the room. It did take a while to have breakfast served in the morning. The exquisite taste, however, more than made up for the lengthy wait. Pros: The grounds were immaculately maintained and sitting in the outdoor area of the restaurant for breakfast felt like being in a tropical oasis, despite being in the city. Proximity to Devon House made it a gem in my book. This was a highlight of my first trip back to Kingston, Jamaica in years. I recommend the Terra Nova Hotel without hesitation and thank my girlfriend Robertha for suggesting I stay there for my brief stint in Kingston.

Great location for an intimate function especially a wedding. Banqueting Manager Ms. Wynter is through and professional when dealing with wedding professionals who have chosen the Terra Nova for their wedding couple. The function spaces are multidimensional an therefore can accommodate the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in a private atmosphere.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights for a peaceful break after attending my sister's funeral in Jamaica. I couldn't have chosen a better place. Even though housekeeping was curtailed because of cautiousness in this period, but I lacked nothing in terms of towels and bathroom facilities. The Jamaican breakfast was excellent and everyday I could take back packed fruits and banana cake to my room. I had the most beautiful little balcony where I could sit in peace to enjoy my evening meals with a glass or two of wine 🍷 from the bar. Checking in and out was smooth and the front desk staff were as warm and friendly as indeed were all the other staff I met! I hope to visit the Terra Nova Hotel again in the future and under happier circumstances.

Went to a wedding here, by the Pavillion. It's a good space for a small wedding. The pool adds something nice to the view, so does the arch there. The food was not good. Tasted like I could've done better and I do not cook.

The hotel has a Sunday brunch, which is supposed to be good, but I would not know because the hotel mess up my reservation. I left NYC to celebrate my brother's birthday with other family members who also traveled for the occasion.I received a confirmed reservation, but when my party of 9 went to the hotel, we were told that the brunch was the next week.No one called me and reported this , therefore; I was left standing in the lobby with with hurt and disbelief. My family members were so disappointed and the manger who spoke to us (January,7-2024)actually gave us attitude and stated"well we can't physically do brunch now ,so you guys can order off the regular menu". We walk away from the hotel feeling dejected and dissatisfied with the low level customer service. By the way the manger took my email address and reported that she will make contact...she did not . I have worked in the hotel industry in the past and this is one of the worst case of customer service... So disappointed in the way we're were treated. Very disappointed
