My go to place for osteopathy and acupuncture. I originally went here for help with sciatica when pregnant and post natal care with Jocelyn. She is fantastic, makes you feel comfortable and after three sessions I had great results. Matthew is the acupuncturist and has 10 years training from the only acupuncture school (in the UK), acupuncture helped with pain and you would feel great for three days after from whatever was released. No idea how it works but it did. Years later, I injured my shoulder. After six weeks of physiotherapy, I went to see Angela (Jocelyn gets booked up quickly) and she was able to give me back range of motion. Basically, think of having your arm stuck where the highest you can lift it is waving like the queen. 90 mins later she had me able to reach up above my head! Of course, I continued with regular sessions balanced with physiotherapy and was able to return to work. Depending on your injury, if you are stuck and restricted in motion, give Osteo a try.

Julie Sainsbury has been treating me on a regular basis for about 3 years. I have suffered with chronic migraines since I was a child. I had a migraine every day for 6 weeks straight before I started seeing Julie. Relief was immediate when she started treatment. She has allowed me to function like a regular human again. Osteopathic treatment has been superior to all other types of treatment that I have tried. Two of my family members also see her and we always joke that she is "our Julie" because she feels like part of the family. She is kind, smart, and incredibly good at what she does. I would recommend Julie to anyone seeking relief from almost any type of ailment.

Before leaving the Halifax area I saw Julie Sainsbury as my osteopath. I had ongoing health problems from various surgeries and illnesses and when all else failed I gave osteopathy a try. I couldn’t have been happier with the results and how much Julie knew about what my body needed. I have since told several people about this type of treatment and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Not only did my back problems settle but Julie was able to help with painful scar tissue as well. She really took the time to get to know what I needed.

I am so glad I found Halifax Osteo. I've been seeing Julie Sainsbury a few times a year for about five years now and her treatments have been the most helpful and long lasting of anything I've tried for ongoing muscle issues. She is always warm, gentle and caring, sensitive to the effects her treatments have on her patients. Her assessments are thorough and professional whenever a new issue arises. The clinic is clean and comfortable with good attention to detail and flexibility around booking and cancellations. Highly recommend.

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in January 2014. I attended physio and massage once a week since that accident with moderate success. It was then I was referred to this clinic. I began seeing Julie after seeing a different therapist, but my body did not respind well to her particular treatment and I experienced extreme pain, but this can happen with any therapist/treatment techniques. I was encouraged to see another therapist which was when I met Julie. Despite my extreme nervousness to return and cancelling several appointments before finally seeing Julie she was incredibly understanding and encouraged me to return but to contact her immediately if I had a negative response to her treatment. Not only was she able to relieve my extrem pain over the next few treatments, I felt so good physically I decreased my massage and physiotherapy treatments. I am extremely greatful I have met Julie. Her compassion toward her patients is genuine and her work ethic impeccable. As for the clinic itself, I am in a wheelchair and although this is a small clinic, the wheelchair accessible access to the entire treatment areas are much better then some larger clinics I've attended. In addition to their sincere interest in improving their clinic for everyone, the owner approached me to ensure everything (including the bathroom) was fully accessible and if I had any suggestions/concerns to let her know. Again, I have been to much larger/newer clinics and health centers that are not as accessible or intetested in hearing recommendations to improve accessibility. This is a great clinic. I'm am extremly happy with the treatment I am receiving from Julie. The rest of the staff are friendly and the reception staff are extremely pleasant and happy to greet you as you arrive. I'm very happy with this clinic and highly recommend it to anyone looking for Osteopathic treatments.

I started seeing Julie Sainsbury after sustaining a major neck injury and concussion from a swimming accident. A neurologist told me I could have flareups for a long time - soft tissue injuries can be tricky. I do not have adequate words to thank her for her treatment. I started out at twice a week for at least the first six months. I still see her regularly to keep things under control and she keeps me functioning as a human. When I first saw her my face, and arms, and hands had numbness and tingling from pinched nerves. I had extreme headaches to the point I couldn't drive or concentrate to even make a meal. I can't thank her or the clinic enough for their quality care and professionalism. Yes, it hurt sometimes, but oh so worth it the next day. Healing is a difficult journey sometimes...thank you for being part of mine.

This place is the perfect one stop shop for physical treatments. All the practitioners are very knowledgeable in their fields and have wonderful bedside manners. The staff are all very warm and friendly, as Jocelyn is very particular about who she hires. I often refer people to this clinic. I highly recommend booking in!

I can't recommend Hannah Ferguson enough and the clinic is lovely. I have a stubborn low back injury that caused a lot of issues in my leg and I felt like I was making no progress until I found Hannah. She's quick to get into treatment and makes the most of every visit, which I really appreciate.

I have seen Julie for two years and she's always been great. I refer other people to her whenever I hear that they are suffering with pain. Julie is able to assess the problem and find the right treatment. The room is always cleaned and Julie is always well-groomed and presents a professional appearance. I highly recommend Julie to anyone who is suffering with pain. She truly cares about her patients.

Hannah is amazing! I went to see her originally because of chronic foot pain that several physios couldn’t help with. I had been trying for years to find any kind of relief. Well Hannah solved it! She also found the root cause which we are now addressing and I am amazed at how much better my whole body feels.
