👍 We really enjoyed our meal and service at QA. This is a great addition to the Quinpool Road area and will be coming here in the future. The ambiance is darker but cozy. Food quality was excellent but we thought portions were a bit on the small size. We are sure that since this was only their second... We really enjoyed our meal and service at QA. This is a great addition to the Quinpool Road area and will be coming here in the future. The ambiance is darker but cozy. Food quality was excellent but we thought portions were a bit on the small size. We are sure that since this was only their second night open that there will be changes and revisions to the menu (perhaps adding side salad options or a second piece of fish, etc.). Beer selection was good and hoping to see more local brews appear in the future too. We will be back.

Quinn's Arms. This is one of the nicest English Pubs in terms of ambiance...beautifully appointed and the padded banquettes along the walls are first class. Well thought out menu. The pork belly is crispy and flavourful, I prefer a thicker style but it was still really good. One of my friends ordered the butter chicken with fries and thoroughly enjoyed it but she did find a chicken bone in the dish....at least that indicated the Chef was taking the time to use fresh chicken and not the commercially processed variety. My other friend had the beer battered fish and chips....the fish arrived beautifully cooked...you could tell the chef took time in not cooking the fish and then re-frying because the batter was light in colour and not greasy. I opted for the roast beef on a hoagy bun, I was disappointed as the beef was really salty...so much so that I didn't finish it. I asked for a garlic aoili for dipping my fries and I was served a small container of mayonnaise with a whole lot of garlic in it...I felt the kitchen was making a statement of displeasure at my request. I was surprised as I don't generally have an issue when requesting either Sour cream or garlic aioli. We all shared the banana split and loved the twist of creme Brule topping torched on the bananas...delicious. I witnessed the bartender retrieving a green bean in a jar for a Caesar, this is a health violation so I hope this is not something she is in the habit of doing...cross contamination could be an issue. All in all though it is a delightful pub, well thought out menu...newly opened so they are I am certain they are merely working out some things out. I hope they do well.....great addition to Quinpool Road.

What a fantastic pub / restaurant in the amazing and diverse Quinpool Road west end neighbourhood. The food is really top notch and the staff is friendly, professional and efficient. They went all out on the decor with quality finishes and a classic design that looks like it’s been there for years. They have a variety of drinks from liquor to local beers and ales on tap. Vegan friendly too including a great spicy vindaloo pasta dish. Here’s the great fish and chips… delicious!

Enjoyed the old fashion drinks as well as the chips and dip. Will be back to try more off the menu soon. Went midday for drinks and the place was full. Always a good sign. Our server was friendly and very funny. Would gladly recommend this place to others.

The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the decor was very stylish and well done. I will be back again for sure. Good table distancing and servers were all masked.

Came here on a slow, sunny Saturday evening with three good friends. I ordered the burger. It arrived quickly and looked great. Tasted delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the unlimited water and the kind service. Absolutely would recommend.

During our trip to Nova Scotia, family and I visited Quinn’s Arms for the Sunday Roast – it came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The food looked and tasted amazing, and all plates and serving dishes were cleared, which is normally not easy to do with some picky eaters in the family. To top off the great food which left us well fed for the day, Terry was simply the kindest, warmest host, ensuring we all felt looked after. He made us feel welcome and made sure that everyone – including our 2-year old – had an enjoyable Sunday afternoon at your establishment.

Lovely ambiance. Great, cheery service. Food was great! Caesar salad was particularly wonderful with a flavourful lemon pepper dressing. I LOVED it!! We both had the steak & cheese sandwich and again, great flavours! The gluten-free bun was one of the best we have had. Not typical of pub food in flavours but typical in choices. We will be back!!

We were planning a vacation in Halifax and heard about the Sunday Roast at Quinn's Arms. Casey was prompt in arranging our reservation via email prior to our arrival. The meal itself was AMAZING! Every item had some extra element that elevated the flavour or texture. Casey was attentive and a great host. Our reservation was for noon (right at opening) and we had the place to ourselves. We felt like VIP's! We'll be back on our next visit to Halifax!

Absolutely love Quinn’s Arms. A great place you can bring your family for a meal or your group of friends for drinks. Every meal here goes above and beyond in flavour, ingredients and presentation- which makes it well priced. Wonderful ambiance, super friendly staff and good beer/drinks.

First time there and will definitely be back. Had the Mushroom Toast, Bacon Fat Fried Potatoes and the olives. Shared the Guinness Stout Ginger Cake. Everything was delicious. Service was wonderful. Only concern was we were sat by the door on a cold wundy night and froze every time the door opened. Maybe a curtain or something to shield diners from cold blast of air?

I've come here twice before and their food used to be absolutely delicious, I had a burger and the day's pasta.. but now they changed the menu, no more delicious pasta, and the burger is not as good as before 💔 it was very disappointing.. And the place seems to be understaffed (only 2 waiters who are also covering the bar doesn't seem sufficient when the place is full) Otherwise, they're all very nice and it's a nice atmosphere..

Roast beef was far too small for the price.5.00 for the smallest creamer of gravy was ridiculous. will not go back. The kegs prime rib is same price and much nicer environment.

8 of us went for the Roast Beef dinner. Served family-style, which was great, since not everyone wanted all of the items on the menu. Food was very good (although slightly more roast beef wouldn't have gone unappreciated) It did take quite a long time for the food to be served, though, and there was only one other could in the restaurant.

We went as a group of 7 and were able to sit at the bar for a drink as we waiting for a table. Note this was a Saturday night so totally expected for that many people pretty much anywhere in Halifax. Their in house beer is very good, I had the IPA and the Dark Mild. The Dark Mild is a hard style to find anywhere, moreso to find a good one which this one was. Once we were seated we waited on a by a fantastic waiter that was from Ireland based on the accent (I'm terrible with names hopefully he's the only one that works there with the description because he went over and above to serve us). I ordered the burger but there's many options several in the group got the Shepherds pie which they raved about. Burger was a smash burger taste was in the Big Mac style sauce. Bun was clearly locally made not the typical one you would buy at the grocery store. It was our first time there, we weren't sure which one to goto there's also the Brewery by Quinn's up the street but if you aren't sure on which can't go wrong with this one.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this place. I had a look at the menu and saw a few unusual items that looked potentially really good. I decided I'd just try their burger first. I find a restaurants burger can tell you a lot about the place. Hear me out when I say that this was the very best burger I've had IN MY LIFETIME. It's a smash burger made with a burger sauce and delicious pickles. I could not believe how good it was, absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to try some other stuff now, but will 100% get the burger again many times.

Was there with 3 friends. My meal (burger) was the best out of the 3, but nothing special. One friend had the lamb vindaloo which is not at all an authentic vindaloo and comes with rice that would be more expected with a Chinese dish. Two friends had the special, which was 6 pieces of ravioli at $4/piece because there were a couple tiny specks of caviar on each piece - specks is no exaggeration - they had to point them out to me because I couldn’t even notice that there was anything there. Needless to say, they left still hungry. It’s a decent atmosphere with average service and we’d go back for a drink, but definitely not for food. I don’t like to leave a bad review, but we were shocked and felt the need to leave one with our experience.

Visited The Quinn's Arm's as we'd heard good things. The restaurant has a very comfortable feel to it with the cushions and dim lighting. We did have to use our phone torches to read the menu's but that's part of the experience I suppose. The service was average, a little slow but very pleasant. Food selection is good and it all tasted delicious, it's just a shame that the portions are so small. I paid $26 for the special pasta and I got 6 tortellini which would have been okay for a starter at half the price. The lamb vindaloo is delicious but it's no vindaloo. It's mildly spiced and very tasty, perhaps renaming the dish would do it justice.

Good selection of entrées. Diversity of menu choices with a great wine listing. Awesome menu! (Isn't it frustrating when you need to book another 15 minutes just to read a ridiculously large menu? Nothing good comes from that!) Perfect sized portions of Yum Food! We had a lovely Panna Cotta for dezzi!

Mussels are delicious, as well as the Naan bread. Staff is nice as well as decor. However, the Butter Chicken was the worst I have ever eaten and they didn’t serve rice with it. Kinda costly for bland food with 3 pieces of chicken, but no rice?! Will still go back but won’t try that dish again.
