Kofuku is one of my favourite restaurants in Halifax. Every time I've been there, service has been so warm and genuine; the food is fresh, delicious and beautiful with high quality ingredients; and the space is always impeccably clean (such a transformation from the old Mary's- it's unrecognizable). Amanda is one of the best servers in the city, and her passion for her family's business is unmistakable. Their sake menu is very well curated - I highly recommend getting a flight. Always check their Instagram for their hidden menu items before you go. If I could give them more stars, I would. Glad to have them in our community!

This place is sick, by far the best Thai spot in Halifax, like by a long shot. They also have a whole Japanese section that I've yet to try, because every time I come here I can't resist all of the home made appetizers, pad Thai, and other dishes.

This is currently my favourite place to eat! The food is amazing and the vibe is perfect, along with a friendly staff. We haven’t had to wait for a seat or very long for our food and it has been exceptional. If you like Sushi or Thai food than this is a must try spot and I’d imagine everything on their menu is super delicious, (although it’s hard not to order the same thing you had last time because you’ll have enjoyed it so much and be craving it), like the best tuna nigiri, the Kofuku signature roll and their tasty brown rice tea. Writing this review makes me want to go there right now and I just finished supper. The ginger beef is also wicked good, as is the sampler appetizer, (especially the beef cakes 🤤). I’ll be back. 😎

Foods are delicious. We wanted to try Baby octopus for appetizers but it was not available last night. Switched to Grilled Eggplant Delight and loved it. Tuna was fresh and Imari rolls were tasty. We think the restaurant made its own sauce and wasabi cuz they taste much better than those we had before. We will def come back to try other dishes in the menu.

Made 2 visits to Kofuku before posting a review to make sure it was as good the second time as the first time. It was. Food is prepared with care and creativity. Everything was fresh. Service was excellent. I have not tried any Thai Food but will on one of my next few visits.

Reasonably priced Japanese and Thai lunch menu with great presentation. The meal was very tasty and the portion was good for one person. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. It’s a smaller restaurant with around 10 tables/booths and it did fill up during the Saturday lunch hour. Would recommend for a sit down meal in the north end.

Cozey restaurant with tasty sushi and the best service. Tried their tom yum soup, also very tasty and not too spicy. Their torched rolls are a must.

A lovely experience every time we go! The service is always perfect and the food is truly something special. I also highly recommend trying the Sake flight, you won't be disappointed.

Our favourite sushi restaurant in Halifax. That being said the Thai menu is also very delicious. Love the spicy Singapore noodles, ginger & basil beef. All the specialty Rolls are always on point especially the torched ones. Sushi is so fresh and the place is cozy and friendly. Highly recommend kofuku if you want quality Asian food!

Lovely and cute atmosphere for dine in! My partner loved her sushi roll, maki and miso soup combo. The prices are very fair and affordable, and the staff is lovely! I got the singapore noodles and i really enjoyed them and was very full. I would definitely recommend and we will be back!

Best place in Halifax for sushi hands down. My go to place to take people when they are visiting or recommend to locals!

Absolutely delicious food, great service, and it was so cozy!! We needed to order to go but I do badly wish we could have stayed to enjoy how lovely it is in there. The food is so fresh tasting and the spring rolls were a perfect portion and even better for the price. Would definitely frequent this establishment.

I wanted a new sushi spot and found this one. It’s Japanese and Thai! They have two menus to order from which is nice. The spot is cute and cozy for a date. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Their sushi was pretty tasty. I’d recommend giving it a try if you like Thai and/or Japanese food in general.

So delicious!! Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful, I have only good things to say. Our waitress was also super helpful and friendly and we didn’t feel like we had to wait too long for anything. We got the papaya salad (tastes just like it does it Thailand!), green curry (also amazing) and the ginger beef which was soooo tasty and not too sweet, which I find can happen sometimes. Overall, great place I’m definitely going to be coming back soon!

My husband and I went to Kofuku for the first time this evening, and it did not disappoint! The red curry was so fresh and the homemade sauce was delicious! My husband had the cashew chicken and it exceeded his expectations! We also shared the beef cakes and they were an amazing starter! Staff we super friendly! Would highly recommend!

Really nice spot sushi is some of the best in the city and the Thai food is great as well. Special shout out to the mango salad !
