We came to Salty’s for lunch a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful day, bright and quite so, we sat outside and, it was a treat! We had several seafood dishes as well as a few beers. Overall, the food was pretty good and portions appropriate. I can agree with other reviewers that perhaps prices seem a little high but, I think it was worth the prime. Service was very friendly and diligent too!

We had a wonderful late night supper at Salty's. The second floor has a wonderful view of the Harbour - I recommend asking for a table there. I enjoyed their garlic shrimp & lobster. Price wise, it's on the higher end but the location is worth the extra dollar. Portions were also decent.

Great seafood at Salty's. If you're looking for a restaurant with top-notch seafood, Salty's is the place to be! Their lobster is simply the best, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And if you're a fan of Halifax, you won't be disappointed with their selection. But Salty's is not just about the seafood. Their desserts are equally amazing and provide a perfect end to your meal. With a great atmosphere, it's a fantastic place to spend time with your family, and the prices are decent too. In fact, considering the quality of food and service, the prices are very reasonable. The best part? The prices for alcohol are super decent, so you can enjoy a great drink with your meal without breaking the bank. Overall, Salty's is a great choice for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The delicious seafood, great desserts, and affordable prices make it a must-visit restaurant.

The Seafood Platter is the best and reasonably priced. The shrimp is crispy and the fish is fresh and crispy, too. Both are tasty. The portion of the calamari is kind of small but it is tasty. We missed the place when we were trying the restaurant next door the following day.

My wife loves her lobster croissant, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chip dish. Martinis were cold, and the Brie appetizer was two thumbs up. Service was fast and friendly however I would suggest a reservation if you wish to have specific seating (inside vs outside). We preferred outside but inside was a 45min wait as they were quite busy at the time. (Good for them). Awesome view of the harbour traffic as well.

Our cruise dock at Halifax. My sister likes to have steamed lobster and some fresh seafood. Salty's is not our first pick. But the ones that we tried to go were closed due to Canada Thanksgiving, and we have picked one that is close to the port. Andrew Moffatt is our server .He quickly helped us put the order in since we mentioned we need to get back to the cruise by 4 pm. Everything comes out quickly. The Lobster is perfectly cooked. All the other seafood tastes delicious .Our party has 6 people. Andrew mentioned the restaurant is short-handed cause the holiday . And he is still able to make sure we have everything that we need. Love this hard-working kid. Will go back if I'm in Halifax next time.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the lower floor. The menu was exactly what we were looking for - casual seafood. We sat at a booth with a great view of the pier. The server was lovely, food was prompt and our meal was delicious! We enjoyed bacon-wrapped scallops, a fresh lobster roll with salad and some halibut and fries. The portions were perfect! They have local beer on tap - we discovered Garrison’s beer (definitely worth trying!) Parking was down the street at a paid parking garage. Only a short walk away (<1km) The restaurant is accessible and the staff are very accommodating! This restaurant is a perfect spot for a date night.

It’s was the perfect day for lunch on the pier and we took at table outside. Waiter was friendly and took good care of us. We had the fresh lobster and fish and chips. The lobster wasn’t cheap at $40/lb but it was delicious and worth the splurge. The fish and chips were perfect — crispy batter and fresh, clean tasting fish. We also had their Nova Scotia wild blueberry pound cake. They had me at wild blueberry. A perfect meal on the water. Highly recommend.

Sage, our waitress, was absolutely great! But we didn’t like the staff (elderly woman) at the entrance who took us in. It was a chilli night and we wanted to sit inside and she was kinda sassy and gave us a look that they were really busy, when the restaurant was completely empty (per the pictures). When they finally gave us a table after rolling her eyes, the AC was blowing right to our face. We finally switched to an adjacent table where it was little warmer. I mean, could you be a little accommodating when you have so many empty tables? About the food - we really liked the blackened salmon and the seafood casserole. But the portions were really small for the price in the area.

A bit of a high class restaurant here with simply lovely staff, all very gracious and polite despite their young age who have to put up with all kind of unruly tourists complaining of everything, like hair in the food - probably it was the hair of the tourist who probably complains of everything in life. We arrived just before lunch time, as apparently this place gets busy very fast, even after storm Lee (only a day earlier). We had bacon wrapped scallops to share plus crab cakes for me, sea food and the seafood platter which was simply amazing. The restaurant is located in a very touristy area with the Titanic museum nearby and more businesses further down the road selling anything from ice cream to beaver's tails, or savoury items for those on a limited budget. I am sure everything is packed in summer time.

Nice water front view restaurant with both indoor and outdoor options. You can choose downstairs with a more relaxed beachy menu (which was our choice) or a more upscale menu upstairs. Great taste with nice portions!

One of the best places I’ve eaten at in Halifax!! The location is amazing, right beside the water. The service was friendly and the food was delicious!! We had the lobster roll, fish and chips, chowder and fried calamari- which was smaller in size than I’ve normally eaten, but tasty. I will definitely be coming back and trying the other items on the menu!

A classic staple on the Halifax waterfront. Sally’s offers two menus. Their downstairs and upstairs, the latter being a bit more upscale. We opted for downstairs and sat outside Steamed mussels were delicious and extra buttery. Lobster roll was okay, although coming from Quebec I would have preferred it in a traditional roll vs a croissant. It was a bit too much bread vs lobster ratio. Fish tacos were good, but again with shredded lettuce and mayo toppings, they fell a bit flat. Shoe string fries were delicious. The server was attentive and kind, checked on us often even though most of the tables were inside. I would still recommend this spot especially silly those visiting from out of town to get a traditional Halifax meal and great view.

So bizarre, they managed to screw up the drinks? My unsweetened iced tea had weird black crumbs in the bottom that felt like coffee grounds. And my partner's 7up was watered down. The chowder wasn't great. The texture of the veggies seemed like overnight soup or something. The mains were actually pretty good. Had the lobster plate and fish and chips, both were really good. Service was great, our waitress was attentive

Maddy, our server, made our evening memorable and wonderful. The food was great, atmosphere was awesome, and we even got a table by the window over the water which was a bonus! Maddy was helpful, efficient, and very considerate in all of her recommendations to us!

We had a great dinner here sitting outside on the deck watching the boats go by and enjoying the sunset. The staff was extremely helpful waiting on us with four adults and two kids under two. All the food was excellent and made for wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place.

Stopped by for an early dinner in the lower level during our travels. Service was welcoming and quick. We ordered the brie to share, which while tasty was on the smaller side for $17. We also did lobster rolls and those were absolutely fantastic. We opted for the side salad which was fresh and tasty too. Would definitely come back again. The views are fantastic as well, both inside and on the patio.

Highly recommend. Great views of the water while enjoying delicious food. I went twice while in Halifax. I enjoyed the seafood platter and lobster. 1/2 lb of lobster is more than enough, as the lobsters have a lot of meat. Shout-out to Andrew for the great service!

Lovely spot for a hearty meal right on the waterfront, with a view of the water everywhere you look. Jill was my server and she was fantastic, friendly and efficient. Everything came out in a timely manner and the main dish was piping hot. Started with the smoked salmon and then the seafood casserole - would highly recommend both, and all local ingredients quite reasonable priced!
