I came across this highly rated cafe while searching online for a cappuccino near me. It was well worth the 15min walk. The cafe is small, only allowing 3 people in the shop right now but the line moves quickly. Staff were friendly and anticipated my needs offering me a tray for my two beverages. I ordered a cappuccino, americano, butter tart and ginger snap cookie sandwich. The beverages were made at an ideal temperature allowing you to drink them right away, no burning your tongue here. The ginger snap cookie sandwich was the star between the two pastries. If I lived here I would be tempted to make the 15min walk daily for a cappuccino and ginger snap cookie sandwich.

The baristas were incredibly kind and accommodating. The vanilla and matcha lattes were both delightful, and I really appreciate the subtle addition of sea salt to their cookies. The small size of the place makes it convenient for a quick coffee or treat stop.

Baristas are one of a kind, they know their stuff and make exceptional espresso. The vibe inside is great and the bar style location makes it great to strike up a convo with the workers or other people inside. Definitely recommend if you are in downtown Halifax!

Friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere. Tried their mocha, it wasn’t too sweet, but the chocolate flavour isn’t strong enough for me.

Absolutely professional and high-quality third wave espresso bar in downtown Halifax, possibly the best overall service and coffee experience we had during a week-long trip to Nova Scotia. Excellent beans (mainly Detour Coffee Roasters from Ontario), both decaf and regular. The baristi were all excellent, efficient, friendly, and knew how to pull fantastic espresso shots while steaming and frothing milk to perfection. Highly recommend a visit, though there is nowhere to really sit as it’s mainly a take away café; the focus is on quality coffee, not a sit-down dining experience. A superb spot for coffee for Haligonians and visitors alike!

Amazing chai, a bit expensive but really well made. We went to grab coffee there almost every day during our stay. It’s very good. There’s no chairs or stools to sit while you drink your coffee which is unfortunate. However, it still has a lot of potential. Maybe someday we will be able to sit again.

You have to go here, well worth the trip! Eggnog latte for the win. I will be smiling all day! P.S. some neat gift ideas in here as well

On a short, but productive trip to Halifax, I stumbled across this coffee shop. So glad I did. Baristias are well trained, friendly, and make amazing classic espresso drinks. My latte had a fabulous design but the coffee itself was too floral for my taste. The staff were great and it is a cute street store.

Und weiter geht es mit meiner Entdeckungstour guter Röstereien. Heute mal aus Kanada. Erster Eindruck: Schöner kleiner Laden, etwas versteckt im Eingangsbereich eines größeren Gebäudes. Ambiente: Ein kleiner Verkaufstresen macht die Hälfte dieses Ladens aus, der schön, einladend und hell gestaltet ist. Sitzplätze gibt es leider keine (wenn dann nur draußen 2 Bänke bei gutem Wetter). Ansonsten lädt ein Tresen zu einem Stehkaffee ein. Service: Angenehm freundlich und aufgeschlossen wurden wir hier empfangen und auch bei der Auslage an kleinen Naschereien gut beraten. Speisen: Kleine, individuelle Leckereien wie Zomzschnecken und Apfeltaschen laden ebenso zum Naschen ein, wie es weitere Kleinigkeiten tun. Sie sind lecker und süß. Kaffee: Der Cappuccino hatte eine starke Säurenote, wir meinem Zitrone geschmeckt zu haben. War sehr vollmundig im Geschmack und angenehm zu genießen. Es stehen weitere Sorten für Zuhause zum Verkauf zur Verfügung. Fazit: Bei gutem Wetter gerne wieder, für schlechtes Wetter fehlt die Sitzmöglichkeit zum Verweilen und vermutlich dadurch ein wenig der eigene Stil, welchen manch andere Rösterei bieten, die wir zuvor testen durften.

Stopped a few times to pick up a cortado while I was in Halifax last month. Good espresso but the beverage overall was on the sweeter side (perhaps a more caramel flavour than I am used to). Extremely friendly staff.

A must-visit for delicious coffee by people who care. Small but mighty with the best service in town. I find take away only a plus -- it's always clean and never crowded. I love waiting for my drink with all the beautiful books and plants too!

Cute li'l cozy cafe with really great cold coffee, and even better bakery items. Too bad they can't head their chocolate croissants but in reality, they taste great even without being warmed! There is a small wooden ledge to enjoy your coffee at and the staff is amicable.

Awesome tiny coffee shop. Service is also s-tier, and makes me want to be a barista because of how chill and friendly the staff are. Have had all manner of lates and coffees here and are all delicious. Baked goods also slap. Very fun little hole in the wall, highly recommend.

Fantastic coffee, super flavourful, made with love by a friendly and caring barista. If I worked downtown in Halifax, this would be a daily ritual.

5 stars to staff, price point, atmosphere and all BUT the most important part…drink wasn’t. My flat white tasted incredibly weak and my buddy’s latte was the same. Tasted like a half shot of espresso with steamed milk. Not a place for someone looking for a strong espresso coffee drink.

My experience was stellar! Good vibes EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! Cosmic cookies, well I’ll just say they are pretty damn cosmic! Iced coffee is super icy and chill, just how I like it! Sound check…. Yup, great tunes as always. Thanks weird harbour, y’all always deliver 🤙

Just visited ! One of my favourite things to do when traveling is trying local cafes in the city and trying their beans and espresso. The barista was SO friendly, the atmosphere has such positive energy and vibes, and most importantly the coffee is fantastic! Also the tea biscuit/scone was so delicious (and as a Brit it passed my expectations! ). The drinks were made perfectly with proper ratios and latte art. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. Will come back tomorrow before we leave the city !

What a great find, a wonderful local cafe with amazing coffee! The staff were super friendly and helpful in explaining the types of drinks and how they're made - they even let us taste a few before we ordered. I ordered a vanilla latte that was made perfectly, topped off with some fantastic latte art. We also got a ginger cookie which was scrumptious! Can't wait to be back in Halifax to visit this place again.
