What a wonderful job they have done on the Halifax waterfront. Just a pleasure to walk along the waterfront all the way down to the Cunard center. If you haven't done it you are really missing out. Take the ferry from Alderney landing, the view is spectacular.

Stopped here on our last day in Nova Scotia. It was very nice and built out. Lots of beautiful views, benches, and even hammocks. I was a little disappointed with how many places were closed on a Sunday evening in October, but maybe I was just too late in the season. I recommend hoping in a ferry ride to get a nice tour of the area for cheap. There were a number of people that seemed to be very drunk walking around which was strange. Other than that, a very nice experience.

I was very happy to discover this place. I didn't know about it, nor how long it is. Here you will find many shops, restaurants, bistros, services, monuments, museums, harbors and interesting places. It has a great atmosphere and you should definitely go through it, it's not that long.

Lovely place to unwind after a day or you can start your day watching an amazing foggy sunrise and enjoying white noise of water and seagulls. Cute photo spots and lots of fresh air. I can recommend also trying out boat tours when you are here.

A calm and quiet place to spend time with your family or friends especially in the mornings and evenings. Halifax's waterfront offers a memorable stroll, surrounded by the city's dazzling ocean, a functioning port, and a variety of year-round shops and artists. It was a wonderful experience for me.

So, so many things to see and do. I had an awesome lunch, watched live music and saw a cruise ship leave the harbour. I feel like it is such a bustling place that you could spend hours and not get bored. Loved it!

When the weather is favourable this city centre is attraction the place to be. Comfortable chairs line the waterfront. They are free to use and a great place to sit and contemplate whatever you choose. Numerous food stalls and restaurants provide the hungry with foods from around the world and a range of prices that range from reasonable to ridiculous. Plenty of history to read about on the many storyboards located along the walkways. Well worth the visit and a revisit.

This is a very nice waterfront, with shops and lots of places to eat! They have a Maritime museum and Schooners in the harbor. There are places to sit in Adirondack chairs or relax in hammocks. You can see starfish and crabs through the clear water.

Awesome place to spend hours strolling the boardwalk along the harbourfront. A great selection of shops and pop up tents selling their wares. Ships and sailboats to observe, buskers, face painters, caricaturists, henna artists, etc populate the boardwalk.

This place is a heart of Halifax. Two day back, there was this festival of Natal day. Amazing vibe and beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend this. Even if there’s no festival, it’s definitely worth walking over waterfront and feel the peaceful ambiance.

There is so much to do and see, give yourself plenty of time and you could spend days there and not see everything. There are things for every age group. The number of restaurants is endless. You will find restaurants for casual cheap dining to high-end restaurants serving the best seafood in the world. There is so much for the kids to do and see. Ice cream that is out of this world especially the fog company and Cows. I know it doesn't sound like ice cream but it is. You can view the tall ships, the Corvette warship, rent jet skis, bike rentals, it is endless. While all this costs money, you can go there on a low budget and still have a great day.

A most interesting place to spend a morning. Great snacking options. The fish and chips at Katch was surprisingly delicious. I say "surprisingly" as I expected it to be too oily. It was far from that. Visiting the couple of ships on display was a peep into the maritime history of Nova Scotia. A ride on the amphibious vehicle was also a very unique experience.

Relatively newly built harbor promenade, which leads around a considerable part of the houses on the harbor. Many seating areas (canada chairs, hammocks, picnic areas) and some attractions. Here you can stroll, eat or just enjoy the view.

My family spent a whole week in Halifax. We stayed at The Muir at The Queen’s Marque on the waterfront. We arrived on Saturday Canada 🇨🇦 Day. And the boardwalk was insanely busy with locals and tourists alike enjoying the Canada 🇨🇦 Day festivities which culminated with the fireworks 💥 display at 10:00PM. Everything is here and I mean everything. Fantastic shops, restaurants, food stalls , Museums, the Ferry service and hotels. It is very historic and scenic all in one. Take your time to walk the boardwalk ending up at Pier 21 and Pier 23 at the far end. It is the destination to visit when you are in Halifax 😀.

Wonderful boardwalk with ships, restaurants, park spaces and great views on clear days. Bring an umbrella regardless of weather; “cloudy” means being in a cloud with drizzling rain, “Sunny” means enough direct sunlight and heat that you’ll be happy for the shade. Boards are close set and smooth enough for a stroller and dogs. Park area has musical instrument stops and activities painted on the ground for kids. Each dock has surprisingly comfortable seats for taking in the view. Enough options for lobster rolls and steamed mussels that you never have to have it now because it’ll be on the menu everywhere. “Cow’s ice cream” was great. “Harbor hopper tours” was fun; not much historic information about Halifax but still a good time and the kids loved it.

The Halifax Waterfront is a picturesque area located along the harbor in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It features a blend of historic charm and modern attractions, with a bustling boardwalk, scenic views of the water, various shops, restaurants, and cultural landmarks such as the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. In my review, I highly recommend visiting this place; it's an absolute must-see.

We spent several days over Easter weekend enjoying the businesses and the stroll along the waterway. Small play area for the kids access to many restaurants and cafes. I am sure that my thousands of steps did not take me past all there was to see. We were able to walk down from our hotel which was a bonus but I saw several places that you could park. Really a great place to hang out and have fun.
