Almost like the first day of spring. Nearly the equinox and a full moon tonight. The laughter and signs of children playing families enjoying themselves in the fresh air is a remarkable experience

Its a beautiful place to take a walk or just sit and enjoy near water. I went inside to tower all the way to the top and the view was amazing. I would highly suggest doing so because the view is worth it. But you gotta be careful climbing up the stairs. There were families having picnics too which was fun to watch.

We have been visiting the Dingle here and there foe 14 years. Never actually walked the trails until yesterday. It was a beautiful walk with so many different amazing views. A very enjoyable walk. Even the dingle had an updated stairway from the last time we claimed it. Fun hike.

Great place. The tower is open if you are brave enough to climb it. The view at the top is worth conquering your fear of heights , and dark old buildings, steps up a wall etc...lol

I loved this architectural historical monument... considering the time it was originally built ... all the way up the stairs, I was thinking how it was done so wonderfully ... and it has stunning views from the top (pictures added) ... it might be a little tiring for little kids but there are platforms where they can rest and regain the energy ...

A cool park by the sea. Spacious and relaxing. Transportation is not quite convenient.

10 stories high, don't smoke before you go. Lol. 2 spiral staircases and a flight of metalll stairs around the outside wall. Time your trip up or the fog will beat you to the top and then minimal viewing.

Nice park with a stone tour that you can climb up the inside of (can you hear the excited kids squeals echoing--yes you can). There is a quiet, pleasant seawall walkway that goes along the Northwest Arm, a kilometer or more either side of this as well. (Free public washrooms in the parking lot behind tower)

It's such a beautiful park. Well maintained, and there wasn't any garbage lying around very clean. We walked some of the trails located in the park. The walkway by the water is nice and you can watch Rowers and boaters.

Beautiful park. You have ample space for car parking. It was a cloudy day I visited and the mist in the air made the place even more beautiful.

This is a large 95 acre park to the south of Halifax. There's the massive Fleming Memorial Tower which is a must see, woodlands, salt water near the shore, a small pond in the middle, and heath barren. There's many walking trails along the shore, but also to the pond and around it. Definitely need an hour or so to get through it all, highly recommended.

When I want/need to relax this is where I go. It's 365° of beautiful views. You can just park and people watch or walk around the the park. And if you're lucky the Dingle may be open and you can go all the way to the top of the tower and enjoy those same 365° views from a different perspective. Definitely add Sir Sandford Fleming Park to your must visit places in Halifax.

Very beautiful and relaxing. A large area with lots of trails to walk into the forest, or take a stroll along beautiful views of the water. There's a play park for children and picnic tables. Perfect spot to go for a run, or have a family picnic, or just take some nice pictures of the scenery.

A beautiful park with a wonderful nature centred playground rather than the typical large metal and plastic structures it is made mostly of logs and rope. It's a great place for a Picnic and It is dog friendly so long as they remain on leash.

My favorite park in Halifax. Diverse range of activities possible - playground for the kids, plenty of picnic space, lovely walk around the frog pond, and you can explore the tower (spring/summer). Best visited in summer and fall, but lovely year round. Washrooms at lower side of the park, next to the tower, in the main parking lot; usually open year round.

Such a nice park to walk around. The trails are well groomed. There is a children's park next to the water and the views are spectacular! Love it here! 😀
