Absolutely atrocious medical care. My partner was experiencing extreme chest pains all night. 811 advised not to go to the ER and to be seen by a doctor within 12 hours. My partner showed up at this location 1 hour before opening, and still waited 4 hours to be seen by a doctor. This alone, while frustrating, is to be expected with a walk-in clinic in this province. However, once seen by the doctor he spoke to my partner for less than 5 minutes. The doctor said nothing was wrong with him, and when my partner tried to press for more info the doctor left the room mid sentence. The receptionist just said "you're good to go now, sorry". I understand that the system is under a lot of pressure and the clinics are very busy, however it's extremely rude and unprofessional to walk out on a patient while they are speaking to you. My partner left this clinic distraught. Would not recommend, and so disheartening that this is the level of service we have to deal with as Nova Scotians.

The worst service ever. If you cannot take someone that’s okay, but at least have the courtesy to say it nicely. They are closed at 4pm and they stop taking new clients at 2pm so that they can wrap up at 4pm. Front end staff needs replacement and thank you Canada for calling it “Free medical treatment” people will die in pain but they won’t serve you if you are late or not their patience. #hate

Best walk in clinic Clayton Park has in my opinion. Walked in yesterday and the lady on the desk told me what to come back by so I did an hour or so later. When I arrived back another patient offered me her seat which blew me away. God bless that lady whoever she was. Then after I saw the doctor, I came out with a prescription and asked the lady on the desk if she would please send it over to Costco pharma to save me time waiting there. She did with no questions asked a very willingly. I was impressed by the service I got here, plus the doctor I saw was fast and efficient. Will I go back? You bet!!!!

I was asked to come in at a specified time, and yet had to wait over an hour to see the doctor while walkin patients went before me..why give me an appointment? The receptionist is a sloth

You have to be here over an hr before they open to actually get a spot..better to go in the morning as then you can try in the afternoon if they are at their capacity in the morning. Health in this province is absolutely appalling! I have to go once a month to just get a refill so I take up a spot for someone who is actually sick! It’s so disgusting and they make you line up outside even when it’s -20 so try get help somewhere else if you can. The doctors are great and the receptionist is awful but I guess it’s not on her. Bundle up in the morning and bring a coffee to keep you warm.

The lady on the front desk is so rude. When I said I am new here she said we have booked 50+ patients for today we cannot take you there are only 2 people in the waiting area. She is genuinely so rude. I have never seen this kind of customer service before. I lived in Ontario and I have been to the walk in clinic so many times but never had this much bad experience

Partner went and was dismissed by doctor in minutes after a couple questions. Did absolutely nothing to diagnose or treat. This is NOT health care and this clinic should be shut down!

Feel like this place is really hit or miss I've gone quite a few times for small colds and such and got what I needed, but I went there with pregnancy symptoms and a gut feeling I was pregnant got a blood test went back said I wasn't pregnant went back a week later when the morning sickness started and he argued with me the whole appointment about how Im not pregnant and wouldn't do a blood test, waiting a long time and was able to see my family dr found out I was pregnant, had to go back for a drs note because I was too sick to work because I was throwing up so often and he still didn't belive I was pregnant

People please if you have a complaint about this clinic call and talk to the doctor about the complaint! I just did and I’m hoping it gets a little bit better with the receptionist. if it doesn’t do anything they need to know so they can improve!

I've been here a few times, and it's a mockery of both ethics and your time plus money. Firstly, they say they can only take so many people, and once that amount is taken by some imaginary quota, they shut their doors, fair enough if the services they offered were worth that. On top of that the ludicrous prices they gouge from you to see the doctor they have on call are a sick joke, charging you upwards of sickly prices all for the doctor to barely look you over after you wait even an eternity for them to see you, barely diagnose you, yet alone look at you and then tell you to pay upfront at the counter. Seriously, this whole place is a waste of your time and money, and I'm shocked they are still legally able to operate as a place of medical treatment, feels more like a stage front to steal your hard earned money.

I don’t know what people expect a walk in clinic to be like in Halifax. They are understaffed and have to deal with rude patients every day. I stood in line 45 min before they open at 8:20 and 11:30, then you might get a chance to go in. I’ve spent 3 hours there but I know its not their fault. Both front desk and the doctor have been friendly. I will come back as there is no other option.

Usually I don't write a review but with the service provided at the front desk they deserve a review. Too bad Google won't let you give less than 1 star. She doesn't want to listen to you. No politeness or friendliness. If you don't find anything keep this the last place to go.

I arrived about an hour and a half earlier than the start of business hours and waited for an additional two hours in the waiting room in the hospital. But I have no complaints because it is possible to have a longer waiting time at the walk-in clinic. The reception staff were friendly, and the doctor referred to the previous medical records and wrote the appropriate prescription. If I have to go to the hospital without a reservation, I will choose this place next time.

For the most part the clinic is great. The doctor is really nice and give you time to explain what is wrong… he checks you out. The one thing I can say I don’t like much about this clinic is how they only take so many people.. you could be standing in line for up to a hour to get in to be turned away. I’m not sure what the purpose of this is, but iv seen many sick people come into this clinic because they have no where else to go and no family doctor and have to wait till the next day to get seen because they are at max capacity.. and there are empty seats and maybe 4 people. If you’re lucky to get in line a hour before they open you might get looked at.. anyway that’s my opinion. Personally I wouldn’t come here if I had a choice. It’s more like a last resort.

Avoid this clinic at all costs. Rude receptionist. When I registered, they told me to arrive at 2:30pm to wait for my appointment. As I write this review it’s 5pm. People that were behind me in line got in front of me. When I calmly approached the receptionist she raised her voice and pretended not to know what I was talking about. Insane. Best clinics in HRM are Scotia Med in Bedford and Family Focus.

The best thing this walk-in has going for them is splitting the appointments into morning and afternoon. Most walk-ins in the city fill up very quickly in the morning, but you can still get an afternoon appointment here if youre at least a half hour early. That said, last time I was here the (only) doctor was almost an hour late and even the receptionists didnt know where he was. When I finally got seen, his bedside manner and communication were very poor. I had to ask him the same question multiple times because he ignored me outright, and he caused me more pain than a tattoo when he took my stitches out (which isnt supposed to hurt, a pinch at the most).

What great service. Receptionist is wonderful and very efficient. Only down side were que jumpers who waited in their cars while the rest of us stood in the rain. The Receptionist said if we had spoken up when she first came out she would have sent hem back to the end of the line. So when this happens to you, say so at 0820 hrs when the door opens.

This clinic deserves 2 star because we can walk in and consult in the evening and afternoon shifts. Do not expect warm welcome, receptionist shows no mercy on you. You have to wait outside in the queue at least an hour before the shift starts. Can't blame the staffs, they are overwhelmed with the patients everyday. Reason is only the poor medical facilities in the province.

The secretary is very kind and lovely, except for when people yell and scream at her; however, that's understandable. The doctor is amazing, you can tell he enjoys his job and cares for his patients. He actually does a better job than the ER a lot of the time.

It's not bad, not great. I arrived a few minutes after 7 on a Saturday morning. There were already about 6 people waiting outside (they open at 8:20 or 8:30) and shortly before a woman handed out numbers for each person. The first few people all got taken into rooms to wait for a doctor (who showed up around 9:15 ish) while the rest of us shuffled into the waiting room. You need a picture of your health card or to have it physically, if not, or it's expired they charge cash (45 bucks) so yeah no debit. The issue really was the amount of waiting, I arrived around 7, to leave shortly after 11. It look at of 5 minutes to be done with the doctor, and I didn't even bring up my second issue as he seemed to just want to move onto the next one lol. If you show up early enough, I think it's not half bad.

For the current state of healthcare in this province, this place is really a shining gem. The receptionists are so kind even when people come in after they are full and offered them suggestions of other places to go to, and warned them of ones they heard were closed. The wait is incredibly long but it’s worth it if you need to be seen same day. I had the benefit of knowing exactly what was wrong with me and what I needed for a prescription. Dr. Haider listened to me, confirmed my suspicions and quickly wrote me a prescription so I could go on with my day. That man hustled from door to door for hours on a Saturday to see as many people in a timely manner. Very efficiently done!

Every single time I’ve gone to this clinic I’ve been happy! The reception ladies are not top notch but once they get to know you they’re really not so bad! The wait time is better than waiting at the ER. And I’d rather come here than to see my own family Dr because he’s as useless as t:ts on a bull!
