I love this gym and love the staff. They leave me alone to do my workout but are there if I need anything. It is not an overpriced gym with loads of staff on, so you do have to track them down at times, but they are so easy going and helpful. Equipment: For the price you pay to go to this gym (compared to pretty much anywhere else), they've got more than enough equipment for any type of workout/ exercise. And most of it is new and works perfectly. Sometimes there's a wait, but people are usually willing to share. Or, you can just go use something else in the meantime. Mirrors: There are only about 4 mirrors and they are all clustered in one little section, as a result, you get a lot of people crammed into a small section of the gym trying to watch their form. You can usually find room though. Pro: areas without mirrors are usually a LOT less cluttered. Water fountain: there is none. For less than $30 a month for all the gym I need, I'll bring my own water. Showers: I haven't used them but I'm pretty they're open 24/7. (I'd confirm that with the staff though). Tanning beds: seriously, these are fantastic. Such a nice bonus if you can squeeze it in before/ after your workout. The location is perfect for me, and I find the gym cleaner than, pretty much, anywhere else I go daily in the city.

Rude staff who seem to take offence when asked clarifying questions even though they constantly give out conflicting information. Probably the most peculiar front desk service I've ever received. When staff did not do their job right and provide the wrong information and you correct them, you have to sugarcoat your complaint in order to not hurt their feelings otherwise they will walk away leaving you confused. Staff definitely throw their weight around way too much. Judging based on the google reviews here, i'm not the only one who felt this way. Cheap gym though, can't beat the price.

Very limited equipment for a gym of this popularity, very limited floor space, not nearly enough racks for use. NO free weight barbell racks. As per usual another gym with mostly unused cardio equipment ... wish people would learn how to build a decent gym. Washrooms here are almost always disgusting. Only good thing I can say is the hours are good.

Awesome gym with rock bottom prices - $14/month. The best part is that it is open 24/7. *Update* Some of the staff here are not friendly and need customer service training. The cleanliness needs to be improved. Also the staff should be required to test each and every piece of equipment once a week. This would be a better use of their time than sitting in the office and playing with their phones.

I have an annual membership and it’s “ok”. Moderately well equipped gym. But as I come 5times a week I see disgusting washrooms. I saw this yesterday and today as well, which means nobody took care of it in the last 24 hours… After the previous post, the problem still exists! Literally nobody is cleaning here, it’s disgusting!

5 stars if you are not looking for a gym with fitness classes or personal trainer. Definitely a well equipped gym with almost all the necessary work out equipment and weights, plus perks with black card membership like massage chairs, tanning room, 1/2 price cooler drinks etc. The price for membership can not be beaten; $5.99 every two weeks for regular membership with one location access and $11.99 every two weeks for black card membership with access to all locations plus the above perks. Free underground parking is a plus. The only issue I see, is the tight space, the gym easily gets congested.

This place is rarely staffed when they say they will be. Even when it is sometimes it’s impossible to find a staff if you want to tan or use one of your “black card” perks. Staff will sit in the office on their phones ignoring people at the desk. DO NOT recommend going to this location

Though whom compliant upon fit4less establishment without a doubt there is alot of unprofessionlism in staff as well the manager. Pros= it's Cheap rates per month Cons= Disorganized , laziness , alot of the time staff don't show up for shifts due too the party the night before. (Hung over) slouched position. Trust me I know I've seen alot of staff come an go some on their own as some terminated or quit. They don't like interacting with certain client due too their cultural hygiene. Ignorance/rude staff they dont interact with clients at all unless it's courtesy towards tanning or massage bed/chair ( Dresden Rd ) mind you. Personally I've left for three months to clear all the non sense too return too a nightmare. I wished I'd never made that mistake of return the (Manager) I've been a member for three years in that three years I've help catered too needs of staff as I've knew most the staff well enough too hold social respect towards building courtship too leave an return too some new staff being disrespectful towards me as the manager in her emotion's blocking my membership too other facilities. Word of advice; Never allow you're staff deal with a customer whom been a member prior newly hires especially when you as a manager might have some differences too work out. That's you're Duty/Job not their's which ended up in a catastrophe all because the Manager appointed a newly hire too fill the shoes to address it's matter.

Beth - your staff being paid minimum wage is not a good enough excuse for being rude and unprofessional towards the customers. You are not empowering them to deal with difficult customers. You are empowering them to be bullies. Just because you say you don't care about google reviews doesn't mean that burying your head in the sand is the solution to people's complaints on here. I was taken aback by how arrogant your staff were until I talked to you. Then I was like, ah so that's where they get their attitude from.

I’ve been going to this gym for half a year now and I’ve never had a complaint. It’s open 24x7 and hence makes life much easier for people who are busy through the day! The only change I would want this place to implement is a machines that aren’t available in this gym. Otherwise, the other machines do the base job so it’s not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Limited equipment, floor space, racks, recovery equipment. Missing the essential stairmaster. Good hours and cheap. Going to be cancelling my black card. 2022/10/25 edit: Still no Olympic platforms, still no free-weight barbell racks, still no abdominal wheel. Wish there was any improvement....

worst gym in Halifax downtown. Elevator not working properly, Entrance scanner not working, Parking operator in gym not working, parking lot Intercom staff so rude. Please verify properly before enroll.

Ive read the reviews here and wondered why it ranked so low. Honestly from what I read, I personally can say that the staff I had no issues with. Someone was sitting at the door verifying proof of vaccination prior to entering and they seemed welcoming. The washrooms/change rooms seemed clean despite’s it being a very busy gym (went on a Saturday at 11 to see how busy it really got). Plenty of lockers to keep your personal items in. The gym, I find big enough but lack of some equipment. I was going in there with the hopes that there would be a squat rack or deadlift station but all they had was smith machines. I didn’t find a row machine but there’s a lot of treadmills. My biggest issue while being there was a lot of people (I realize I went at a busy time) and lack of space in the weight are to workout due to having so many people. For the price, I would recommend this location. If you are very picky with your gym layout/personal space while working out, then this one I don’t feel would suite your needs but again, cannot go wrong with the price. The black card membership is also good at any locations and me coming from BC, It was an easy go when I found this gym.

I am finding it very hard to keep going to this location because it's so hot in there. I asked staff about AC and they said they don't control it. With the sun beaming into the weight area it's like a sauna. How can there not be AC blasting for people working out?

Tried to cancel a membership because I’m moving to a different country… took 2 weeks of calling and messaging. Every time I went to the gym there is no staff. There’s no notice of staff hours either now. I tried messaging fit4less on sns account, usually they reply, but because I mentioned canceling they avoided me. Not to mention after all of this I have to pay for another 30 days. Black card membership is pretty much pointless now because half off the perks before are gone. They should add the cancel option back online if they aren’t going to have much staff in the store….

Showers are disgusting, I bring my own cleaning supplies since none are available in there. Staff seem to always be hiding in back. Cheap membership but not worth it! Would rather pay a bit more for a clean facility and staff that want to help you.

Mostly clean and the atmosphere is great! People who goes to this location are mostly regulars and very serious about their trainings. If you are committed to a good motivational gym this is it!

I've been to this gym before and it's pretty decent. But trying to cancel my membership here has been a hassle. I've tried calling multiple times and no one picks up. I can't go to the location in person as I'm out of province now and there is no email address listed for them.

Would rate higher but they’ve had machines needing repairs for over a month. Gross toilets and could have better range of weights.

Cheap spot, best for students. Kind of congested and could get sweaty during peak hours. 24*7 working hour is a bonus for working professionals.

Good gym, decent equipment and price, I do wish they would put hand sanitizer in more places than the front desk. People have to keep touching their masks without sanitizing their hands and it's not very hygenic.

Really good gym in a great location with friendly staff and cool folks working out. You can shop, work out, and dine, without leaving the building.

If the staff tell me to wear a mask again while they are walking around without one I'm calling the police so they can come deal with your employees

It's fine to get some workout and privilege of getting in as a blackcard member. Unfortunately, its size speaks itself, no blackcard exclusive room. I think it needs improvement in order to serve better.

Came to Halifax from Newfoundland & purchased a black card membership expecting it to be like the one in St. John’s & it is literally the worst Fit4less I’ve ever been to. No blackroom (which in my opinion should be bolded when you’re signing up for this location because otherwise why buy a black card), the space is excessively small for such a densely populated city, & the gym has very minimal equipment. I cancelled my pass non refundable pass the day after getting it. I have no idea why anyone would go here. What a waste of money.

Great gym for price and location, clean and friendly environment but missing barbell squat rack which is a necessity and so extra cables would be nice.

Signed up with my boyfriend today. We had a fun time using all the machines and stretching and exercising together.

This gym is frequented by people who don't wear deodorant. The BO stench is so bad during peak hours. I'm honestly going to switch gyms because of this.
