Lots of free space for movement. Went here on a Friday afternoon and there were a lot of people exercising (biking, jogging, speed-walking). Free parking. Nice view of the Atlantic ocean. There are ample benches and picnic tables.

LOVE this shoreline!! Minutes from the heart of Downtown Halifax, but it might as well be a world away. Great spot to simply relax and feel like you're miles and miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life... without having to go more than a tad or two out of your way to get there!!!

Stunning place for pictures by the sea.

Really cool anchor statue right by the northern side of the shore. It's part of the Canadian Peacetime Sailors Memorial, and is dedicated to the men and women who died while serving in the Canadian Navy. Plenty of benches around the area of sit down; however, you'll find many container ships in the background view.

Walked with the family to this point of interest and watched the silhouettes of container ships creep by, blowing foghorns. Kids enjoyed playing with the large flat rocks as I watched seagulls pluck crabs from the surf and smash them on the rocks.

Good place to stop while hiking through the park.

A beautiful memorial to men and women serving in the Canadian navy that died in peacetime. Beautiful views of the mouth of Halifax Harbour.

Nice place to grab a beer and think about stuff.

Great park in the south end of the city. Interesting story regarding the Bonaventure Anchor.

First memorial statue you encounter on your way up from the left side of the park. Right along the water. Peaceful area. Couple of benches around it. Lots of green space. Some boats in the distance. Not busy at all on a weekday evening.
