A great museum with historical artifacts and permanent collections regarding the German language and culture. As well as rotating exhibitions which can be interactive fun and interesting. A great place to visit and have a great view of the city from it's rooftop.

I came here for the cabinet of curiosity that has been around since the 1800s, was part of the orphanage for the kids to learn. It’s on the top floor, tickets are bought in the other building on the right.

Super location, fantastic historical buildings

It's a special museum and definitely not for everyone. German language skills required - I *think*. But if you like local history as well as history of science and education, it is simply great. The concept is more like a classic museum where you have to pay attention to detail, not everything is explained and interaction is limited. But they have a great story to tell and I very much enjoyed myself. The audio guide was very stubborn. You need patience. All this quirkyness might be to much for some people. But I was enjoying all this very much on a slow and rainy day. If you are a nerd, go there!
