A must see when you are around in Halle with kids. Easy to reach by tram directly from the main station. (3 stops only) We found the concept awesome! This is the oldest chocolate factory in Germany with very impressive history and flair. You can even taste different sorts of pralines. The factory store is great and staff is very friendly. Ideally to buy some gifts😀. Highly recommended and anytime again.

Great museums with a chocolate room, and it is possible to see how the chocolate is produced. The store offers a lot of chocolate products extremely low price

Truly wonderful experience at the museum's Halloween event. Multi-sensory Children's Treasure Hunt that was challenging yet doable - lots fun tasks to complete for a sweet treat. Wonderful staff. We'll be back to look at the exhibition without the lovely distraction of a treasure hunt :) Museum displays mainly the history of the "Halloren Chocolate" not chocolate itself (just in case someone was wondering). Displays are engaging for grown ups and children (some stuff at children's eye level) and you can look at the production of handmade pralines. Museum is large enough to while away ~2h without being overwhelming.

Chocolate for factory price, I'm in! Big discount on pralines, especially the bags of 500g, about 5€ for 500g instead of 10€! Really nice service, put our products in our bags for us :)

This factory is located about 20 minutes away from the train station in Halle (by foot). The shop is big and offers good prices and products you can't always find in supermarkets.

An interesting place to visit. I liked the chocolate museum but think it might benefit from becoming a bit more interactive. Being able to look at the sweet stuff being produced rocks. The factory outlet is great as well.

Good factory sales store--the complete catalog of wares in current production is available. Factory tours are available only with museum admission (8 Euro). Plan ahead if wanting a tour---try to arrive about a quarter past the hour. Easily reachable via tram from the central station. Plan 30 minutes if not taking the tour, and about two hours if touring.

Didn't have enough time to see the museum so just went around the factory outlet. There is a side room where you can taste and pick up relatively large bags of cheap chocolate. Prices are a little lower than the shops in town.

8€ for the entrance to a short walk with some info about chocolate...I personally do not see the excitement. And the price for that ticket do not worth the inside. On top, the prices of the chocolate boxes are same or 20 cents less than in market. As costumer/guest the ability to create positive impressions here is low. You can visit the Porsche Manufacturer instead (yes, you can go with kids) in the way to Leipzig, way more better. They have nice views, pretty nice coffee bar, a lovely museum with some great items, plenty information, beautiful and update environment and the entrance has 0 cost. You're welcome.

We visited the Halloren factory cafe to drink hot chocolate. Unfortunately, the "hot chocolate" (Trinkschkolade) turned out to be more like watered-down cocoa. Pleasure spoiled...
