This forest is only neglected by the city of Halle. Many paths were broken up by heavy equipment. Dead wood is left lying around so that forest fires can be complained about later (?). Incomprehensible! Update (April 2021) The cruel decline of the heath continues every day. All birch trees and over 90% of the pine trees have already died. The trees that remain and are now standing alone will surely snap like matchsticks in one of the coming storms. Meanwhile, development and the associated soil compaction continue around the Dölauer Heide. Just look at what (megalomaniacal?) people do, for example. made from the Nachtigallenweg. Countless square meters of forest area were cleared south of the property so that people could sit in the sun for lunch. The politics in Halle are also despicable in this regard!

It's been a while since I've been back to the heath and I was really scared. The last few years have caused a lot of damage to the city forest. There is currently extensive forestry work underway in the area, which has disturbed the paths somewhat. In wet weather, don't necessarily stroll through the heath in fine thread. Parking spaces and sufficient public transport stops are available. The observation tower on the Kolkberg was well attended. Views possible in all directions. There are one or two places on the edge of the forest for your physical well-being.

Here in the Dölauer Heide, there are many paths where you are often alone, even during the Corona period. It's a shame that the tree population would be so minimized. But there are still wonderful large trees to admire. There is also a wonderful forest playground at the Kolkbergturm. There are many places to rest on benches, under mushrooms and so on. You can walk all over the heath and recharge your batteries, all close to the city.

It's not like it used to be. A lot of dead wood which makes an unkempt impression. Even if the Greens are into it today, something should happen. The rutted paths don't exactly make for a better walk.

It is the city forest of Halle and is popular, with a viewing tower from which you have a good panoramic view. Due to the well-known damage to the forest, the heath is also affected. It is difficult to make progress with the clean-up, but the responsible city office is a bit easier to solve the problem! The Heidesee with a swimming pool and snack bar on the western part of the heath is also very attractive. There is also a hotel with a beer garden on the edge. At the entrance is Gasthof Waldkater.

Always good for a walk, especially now in autumn when the leaves are beautifully coloured. Is fantastic this year.

Beautiful. There's really nothing more to say. You can run different laps and the dogs are happy every time we go running there

You can run/walk/cycle this area for hours. Also in summer it is nice to go running here.

It's not really wild, but it's a great place to hike and bike. Get off the main trails to get some peace and to see some real nature. I've seen deer, squirrels, and even a lizard called a "slow worm", something if never seen anywhere else. Also make sure to visit all the Neolithic grave sites scattered throughout the area and see the enormous oaks along the forest's southern edge.
