Our guesthouse arranged an appointment for an ayurvedic massage for us here, so we were not able to check any reviews in advance. Not to be recommended at all! Way too expensive (1 hour for 6k rupees as of March 22) and did not feel enjoyable or beneficial in any way. We are not experts in ayurvedic massages, but they used excessively much oil and the overall treatment did not feel professional. We both (male and female) felt like they spent way too much time in the wrong body regions. For me, it was an alternation of tickling (too soft) and pain (too much pressure) that was not adjusted despite my clear reactions. Would definitely not recommend coming here, there are certainly better places for ayurvedic massages, both in terms of professionalism and price.

My tour guide brought me and my group there for body massage. This place doesn’t display any of the charges of their services. The guy at the reception told us that they only offer body massage and the basic price per pax is 9,000 lkr (the earlier reviewers can take consolation in this because we were scammed so much more). The massage was OK, masseuse did a decent job but the room is non-air conditioned, there is only 1 fan in the room. It was my first time doing ayurvedic massage so I got a shock when the masseuse started pouring a bowl of oil over my head at the start of the massage. Not sure what was the oil used but it does smell like olive oil. My friend said he could smell curry or spices from his masseur’s hands while having his massage done. My group just felt we were being marinated at the massage. Suggest to avoid the place as this is a tourist trap that charges exorbitant fees for mediocre service.

The worst massage I ever got. The worst face scrub too. Not gentle at all and she was using tissues to take it off (???). Got so many new pimples because of that when I was expecting a fresh clean skin… I am really surprised because this place was recommended by a local friend so I didn’t check the place and reviews before. So sad I wasted my time there. Anyway don’t go there.

A one-hour massage cost us 9,000 lkr (~30 USD), which I thought was expensive for a mediocre, or even below average, massage. However, we noted that they charged a group of Japanese tourists 11,000 lkr for the same service, so I’d suggest tourists to be more careful when you’re there. Given that the prices are not listed anywhere, you may fall prey to them scamming you into paying an unreasonably high price. As stated above, the massage was far from spectacular. The entire process was mostly the masseuse pouring an excessive amount of oil and rubbing it on my body. What I found most intolerable though, was the room itself. There was no aircon in the room (only one very weak fan), and therefore hardly any ventilation. The walls were also very thin, so I was able to very clearly hear the conversations from next door. In short, the entire experience was hardly relaxing, and an uncomfortable one. Would not recommend this to anyone. PS: I double checked to ensure that I got the right place before leaving this review.

Quite poor massage based on the price we paid (4'500 Lkr but booked through an hotel). Too much oil and I really had the impression that the masseuses are exploited. Feels a bit like a tourist trap. Staff were friendly but the whole experience gave us a bitter taste. Still relaxing but definitely not worth this price (maybe it's cheaper if booked directly).

Driver recommened the massage. Not an individual massage. Thats the only part that wasnt nice. Price 7000

5000 lkr for 30 min foot massage. Well, so-so! Not good not bad massage! As was said, this is place for tourists.

Super massage......actually this treatment is super....Therapist is very trained and best technique. Use in oil is traditional herbal oil. I think, This treatment is number one in the world...thanks....!

Very disappointed. Like the other reviews show, this place is a bit of a scam. It is pricey and the massage is mediocre. I do not recommend it at all, especially if a tour guide lies to you that this is the best place. Seems like it is what they tell tourists..

Abit pricey, 6000Rs for 1 hour 10 mins, including 10 mins herbal steam, massage was good, the room was acceptable. Staff at counter were not friendly
