The owners created a bar with a nice atmosphere balancing perfectly between casual and exquisite. The so-called "Chugs" (a small version cocktail) are a nice opportunity to try as many of their delicious drinks as possible. After having 8 Chugs I couldn't decide which one was the best because all of them were just delicious!

Amazing place for agave fans and aficionados!!!! A wonderful and very extensive selection of tequila, mezcal and other agave spirits. The selection of cocktails are also perfectly thought out to suit different palettes. The Chug concept is unique and gives people the opportunity to try out different drinks till they find the one for them. But the atmosphere is also an absolute delight. The staff and the service are superb, attentive, informative, helpful, polite, fast and happy to help with a smile... even on a busy Saturday night. An absolute must! Can't wait to come back to Hamburg to visit this little gem again

This is absolutely one of the best cocktail bars in Hamburg! My friends and I tried a variation of different cocktails and had a fanstatic experience. Highly recommend Pepper la rita, Chili Mangorita, Road to sesame and the famous Basil Smash (original recipe from Jörg Meyer)!

A great bar specialized in "chugs", small cocktails that allow you to try a great variety of tastes without drinking too much. the atmosphere inside is cozy and nice, inviting to talk and have a nice chat with friends or a date.

Quite nice ideas with the chug size for cocktails. The drinks are okay, there are various choice for cocktails. But I don't think the prices are reasonable. Besides, the place is very small and busy. In general, we didn't have a really good time here, so we left after a while to go to other bars nearby.

Excellent cocktail bar with one of the best services. The cocktails and drinks were all very tasty with good quality alcohol. The atmosphere and the style were really nice with only negative point that people were smoking inside the bar.

Trendy bar that focuses on agave spirits like tequila & mezcal. I loved the Chug concept where you get mini cocktails in small glasses. We ordered a flight of three and tried out a few classics on the menu. The bar also had a cool nook on the left side that was essentially booth seating beside the bar. I enjoyed my experience!

JUST WOW. Nice place with AMAZING TEQUILAS AND MEZCALES. They have all the nice stuff from famous to less known and from the regular ones to the most exquisites. The waitress are sooo friendly and nice, I asked for some coconut in my margarita and they even made it possible without a bad face. He even checked after if it was all nice. The chugs or small cocktails were on point. The only think I didn’t like 100% was the fact that you can smoke so if you don’t you will be smelly anyways. But besides that was a nice place and environment.

Absolutely amazing cocktails. They have a great selection of Mezcal and Tequila cocktails and have a great spread of different flavours and creative mixes. They serve many cocktails also in Chug sizes, which is basically a third of a portion. Great idea if you want to try out a lot of cocktails.

Fabulous staff - really made for a nice experience. The best seats are definitely at the bar, the bar tender was very knowledgeable and even let us try a few shots FOC. Would recommend for good tequila and mezcal (not usually a fan!)

Chug Club is an institution around Hamburg, a must go of cocktail bars, the service, and the cocktails consistency make the place a really good Bar. Focused on Tequila and Mezcal their creations are incredibly tasty, they got a bit of Twist on classics and of course what you cannot miss are the chugs, these very small glasses around 2 ounce/ 60ml almost shot glasses that can go singularly or in flights, very interesting concept. So now you just have to try, highly recommended 😎

Visited The Chug Club on Jan 6th 2024. Really nice bar focusing on mezcal and tequila based cocktails. I was there quite early on so no problems getting a seat at the bar. The cocktail list is pretty long so not so easy to pick. Luckily there is also an option to order chugs - smaller size drinks if you are up to trying different cocktails but not too keen on getting drunk. I went for a full size drink and picked Vino Caliente. Perfect mix of cinnamon, clove, citrus notes suitable for the sudden winter weather outside.

Decent drinks but ridiculous policy of minimum of 50 euros to pay with card. We asked when arrived and they said card payments are possible but the minimum 50 euros was no mentioned. Result: we needed to find an ATM with absurd fees to get their money.

You can have the option to taste the cocktails as shot glass size (almost one third of prize) Enjoyed the drinks and concept, there was only one point where I felt the dilemma of business profit versus customer satisfaction:sitting option is limited at the coctail bar not to squeeze existing customers , can pay a bit more attention before taking new guests

The Chug flight was a wonderful surprise. I ordered a out of the menu cocktail and it was perfect. All in all a well deserved recommandation.

Lovely place with great service. A welcome escape from the usual Reeperbahn bars. Specialized on Tequila and Mezcal. Make sure to try their chug flight - a selection of three seasonal „chugs“, you won‘t find on the menu.

Love the concept of being able to try smaller drinks and so try more of the menu. The service is amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable. Loved the flamenco and mango no.5 chugs.

We got the cocktail flights. It was very heavy on the mixer to the point that you wouldn't even be able to tell if they were vodka based versus tequila\mezcal. Pretty pricey for the service level and drink calibre.

Couldn't recommend this place more - I was on holiday with mates and it was the highlight of one of our nights. I would recommend the flights, the staff were really attentive and made sure we got a surprise while making sure we all loved our drinks.

I am in LOVE The Chug Club's concept: a wide range of small, tequila-based cocktails. This allows you to try out different flavors without breaking bank or getting insanely drunk-- perfect for those who want to taste everything. I am not even the biggest fan of tequila, but the drinks were fun, innovative and tasty. There is a drink for everyone! The staff is friendly and the vibes are chill. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that you're allowed to smoke inside.

Awesome cocktail bar with a speciality in tequila and mezcal. We took the menu for 20€ with 5 mini cocktails and one beer: I highly recommend it! The atmosphere is also really nice and cosy. I will definitely go again if I have the chance.

We were here for its grand reopening! Such kind, knowledgeable and generous staff! Highly recommend visiting them for a fancy cocktail!

Specialized on Tequila and Mescal cocktails. The Chug Bar offers special seasonal self-made creations like The Oracle with Earl Grey tea, red wine syrup, flavoured Tequila, all milk-cleared. The real trademark however are their chugs. Small double shot-sized cocktails to try even more. You can order a five-course menu of chugs served together with an in-between beer. If you have tourist friends over, this is something to show them. Its a pretty touristic place.

Very nice cocktail bar with their own home I fused tequillas. A really nice range of classic and bespoke cocktail focused on tequila but other spirits on offer. They have a wonderful sample chug menu which allows anonymous tasting of about 7 mini cocktails ranging in flavour. Wonderful decor and friendly staff.

Amazing service and excellent drinks. This is a tequila bar. If you don’t like tequila, there are a few other options; but this is mostly tequila. All of the drinks are special and you can tell that the bar puts time and effort into making them. They have snacks! And our waitress was a breath of fresh air. Much as gracias The Chug Club for a wonderful experience.
