Atmosphärisch gefällt mir die HafenCity ja gar nicht. Große wenig belebte Häuserschluchten... Wenn man aber eine große Bandbreite interessanter zeitgenössischer Architektur sehen will, ist man hier richtig. Das für mich beeindruckendste Gebäude ist der Marco-Polo-Tower von Stefan Behnisch und seinem Team. Vielgestaltige organische Bauformen sind sein Ding - ganz in der Tradition seines Vaters Günter Behnisch (Bundeshaus Bonn, Olympiasstadion München).
