Absolutely
awful!
At
least
that
was
my
experience.
Never
come
here
for
New
Year.
I
don't
know
if
three
quarters
of
the
staff
called
in
sick
or
what,
but
they
had
three
reception
staff
attending
to
a
fully-booked
seven
story
building
on
new
years
eve
(many
of
the
guests
of
whom
only
just
arrived
that
day
and
had
to
be
checked
in).
The
poor
staff
also
had
to
serve
drinks
at
the
bar
at
the
same
time
(owners,
please
note:
you
lost
sooo
many
drinks
sales,
because
after
waiting
at
the
unattended
bar
for
over
10-15
minutes
to
be
served,
many
guests
gave
up.
By
hiring
one
extra
person
to
tend
the
bar
you
could
have
made
at
least
50
times
their
hourly
rate
of
pay.
Coffee,
cold
drinks
and
snacks
machines
were
also
all
out
of
order).
At
first
I
felt
sorry
for
the
staff,
but
not
for
long.
They
were
super
rude,
even
when
you
were
extra
friendly,
nice
and
understanding
towards
them
(I
spoke
very
politely,
only
asked
for
something
if
I
absolutely
needed
it,
and
tried
to
save
them
time
however
I
could).
One
of
the
three
staff
would
always
be
hiding
away
out
in
the
back
room
at
any
given
time.
I
saw
them
scrolling
through
fast
food
pics
on
the
computer
screen,
so
I'm
assuming
they
were
taking
their
breaks
(which,
of
course,
they
are
entitled
--
and
deserve
--
to
do.
But
why
say
'just
wait
a
minute
and
I'll
come
back
to
you'
and
then
walk
off
to
take
your
break
if
you
have
no
intention
of
coming
back?).
So
there
were
really
only
ever
two
people
on
duty.
I
had
to
wait
over
an
hour
to
check
in
and
then
stand
in
the
same
queue
for
yet
another
half
hour
because
my
key
card
wouldn't
work.
Nearly
everyone
else
in
my
dorm
had
the
same
problem.
I
was
never
able
to
resolve
the
situation
because
after
half
an
hour
of
waiting
I
gave
up.
I
was
barely
any
closer
to
the
start
of
the
queue.
I
came
back
an
hour
later
and
the
queue
was
just
as
long.
Even
to
ask
for
the
key
to
the
guest
toilet
while
waiting
hours
for
access
to
my
room
was
impossible.
I
had
to
buy
something
at
a
nearby
cafe
instead
in
order
to
use
the
loo.
(btw,
the
hostel
has
one
toilet
for
all
the
waiting
un-checked
in
guests
to
use,
many
who
had
also
been
waiting
for
hours).
Even
the
next
night
when
things
were
a
bit
quieter,
the
staff
on
duty
were
slow,
unhelpful,
disinterested
and
surly.
Only
the
night/morning
staff
at
06:50
am
the
next
day
were
pleasant
and
attentive.
All
in
all,
I
spent
over
3
hours
waiting
for
help
from
the
staff,
was
very
late
to
my
new
year's
eve
event
as
a
result
(couldn't
check
in
until
5pm,
as
hundreds
of
people
were
waiting
at
3pm,
the
official
check-in
time,
came
back
at
4pm
but
still
had
to
wait
an
hour,
and
then
wasn't
able
to
briefly
shower
and
change
until
after
7pm
due
the
room
access
issue)
and
couldn't
get
into
my
room
during
the
rest
of
the
evening
if
no
one
was
there
(thank
God
someone
was
in
bed
one
of
the
times,
but
he
wasn't
impressed).
The
following
day
I
was
able
to
get
my
key
card
revalidated,
but
it
would
only
ever
work
the
first
time.
Very
annoying.
Regarding
the
rooms,
they
were
small
but
ok.
Fine
for
the
price
if
you
are
staying
there
outside
of
holiday/peak
times.
Definitely
not
worth
€30-50
for
a
bed
in
a
6
bed
dorm
though.
There
is
no
privacy
when
using
the
attached
bathroom
at
all.
The
dorms
are
mixed
and
there
are
no
other
toilets
you
can
use
except
for
the
guest
toilet,
which
is
also
mixed
and
always
seems
to
have
a
queue.
The
walls
are
paper
thin
and
you
can
hear
everything
people
are
doing
in
there)
and
were
too
cramped
to
walk
in
even
though
most
people
had
brought
a
minimum
of
stuff.
I
payed
over
€60
for
two
nights
to
stay
in
what
felt
like
a
cattle
yard,
where
they
are
trying
to
cram
in
as
many
animals
as
possible.
Thank
God
there
wasn't
an
emergency
requiring
immediate
evacuation.
With
two
tiny
old-style
elevators
that
fit
a
maximum
of
3
people
each,
and
a
very
narrow
staircase,
I'm
surprised
it
meets
Germany's
strict
building
standards.
Oh,
and
make
sure
you
give
yourself
plenty
of
time
to
check
out!!!
