The place in itself is nice - spacious enough to have room to play but cozy enough to not feel awkwardly spaced out. One thing the place puts emphasis on is the selection of games and this they get right - they have hundreds of different games available ranging from classics to rare specimen and simple games to those with great complexity. Entry cost is 5€ per person. Food and drink is available and the cost is avergage; desserts are on the pricy side for what you get. We booked a slot for 4 hours starting at 20:00 but we're kicked out at 23:15 because "they already closed 15 min ago" - it's odd how you can book a slot past the opening hours without an extra mention of this, so be wary when intending to visit for a late slot. If one game particularly piqued your interest and you'd like to buy it (either new or used), you may get lucky in their used and new store in the basement.

Three of us came here this evening to hang our and play a game together. In the end we had 2 pizzas, 6 drinks, enjoyed a full game that we hadn't played before and left with a bag full of stuff from the shop. The staff were super friendly and did extremely well explaining the game in English for us. They were also friendly and helpful and lived where they worked which always shows. There was plenty of space even though its clearly a popular place. They have a small selection of games to buy along with other merchandise but hundreds if not thousands of games there to play while you stay. These was a great evening and worth travelleling into Hamburg for. It was pretty much the only thing we did there and was totally worth it.

WOW ! Such a wide range of board games! I bet you don’t know one that they don’t have! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The tables are wide and well adapted to playing board games. I love this place but maybe some ideas for improvement: - I found that the lights, the decorations and the white walls make the atmosphere a bit too bright and less cozy. - A little music background could be enjoyable but more like DnD ambiance musics.

We stayed like 30 min, we tried 3-4 boardgames but in the end we gave up cause we did not understood the rules and we were too tired. We just entered to hide away from the rain and have some warm. At the end were charged additional 12 euro, 6 euro per person cause we touched the boardgames. I asked at the begining if it cost smth and they said no.More and than that we were the only ones which did not received any help. We will report this scam place to ECC.

One of the highlights of our stay in Hamburg and probably the best board game cafe we've visited in Germany so far. Huge selection of games, so i think any size of party, age and preference could find something here. Plenty of tables to choose from and a very friendly atmosphere. We really appreciated the guidance on choosing a game and exceptional job of explaining the rules in a much shorter time as it would have taken us to read them ourselves. There is a board game flee market in the basement, which is a super cool idea as well.

We drove an hour here from Celle and it was well worth it. There are literally hundreds of games here to choose from. The paninis were fantastic as well as the coffee. The staff was helpful and willing to explain any game on the shelf. The only downside for me was that since I don't speak German I couldn't understand any of the directions. Luckily the staff was there, and so is the internet.

Biggest game selection I've seen in a boardgame cafe. Friendly staff, great pizzas. Feel like the drinks are all one Euro to expensive. Got lucky, we got a seat, can see this place fill up pretty fast

Awesome and cozy board game cafe/bar. Excellent for a good time with friends, with nice snacks and beers. Huge variety of games and very nice "curators" to help you out.

Great place to play boardgames and similar on the table games with friends with an affordable one time fee. So you pay once and play a lot of games for a long time. The food might take a long time to arrive though..
