We had to wait quite a while before someone arrived at the reception, however checking in was really quick and easy. Our room seemed clean enough but not the best. Cooking facilities are available but also don't seem all that trustworthy. Location is pretty remote but the nearby train station with reliable and good connections makes up for it. Overall an okay stay, not the most comfortable or clean atmosphere but alright for a short stay I suppose.

Das Hostel liegt in einem eher industriellen Vorort von Hamburg. Keine 5 Gehminuten weit liegt die S-Bahnstation Tiefstack ( S221), ebenso etliche Buslinien halten hier. Es gibt eine Rezeption, zu welcher man einige Stufen hinunter gehen muß. Dort wird man sehr freundlich empfangen. Zu den Zimmern muss man wieder raus und dann Treppen nach oben oder unten nehmen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Basement. Die Zimmer sind schlicht, funktional und ausreichend ausgestattet mit Betten, Kleiderschrank, Nachttisch, Stuhl, Tisch ( klein), Fernseher und einem mini-Kühlschrank. Die nach Geschlechtern getrennten Gemeinschaftsbädern und die Toilette befinden sich auf dem Flur. Die Toilette kann von innen abgeschlossen werden, die Duschen nicht. Es gibt 2 handelsübliche Waschbecken, Handtuchhaken, leider aber kaum Ablageflächen für das Waschzeug oder Kleidung etc. .... Das stellt beim Duschen ein kleines Problem dar, da man seine seine Kleidung und andere Dinge ( Kosmetik Tasche, Schuhe...) nirgendwo hinstellen oder legen kann ausser auf den Boden vor oder in der Dusche, sofern man nicht nur im Handtuch bekleidet durch das Hostel zu den Waschräumen laufen möchte. In der Dusche ist sie wahrscheinlichkeit sehr hoch, dass alles nass oder feucht wird, vor der Dusche steht es anderen Gästen teils im Weg. Der Wasserdruck und die Temperaturen sind sehr gut, so wünscht man sich das. Alles ist recht sauber gehalten und das gesamte Hostel sieht frisch renoviert aus. Grundsätzlich ist Rauchen verboten, doch dem Geruch nach zu urteilen halten sich nicht alle Gäste daran. In einem "Seitenarm" des Flurstück befindet Sichtweite Gemeinschaftskpche die eine gute Ausstattung hat mit Geschirr etc... um sich Mahlzeiten oder warme Getränke zuzubereiten. Herd, Mikrowelle etc.... sind vorhanden. Alles sieht sehr sauber aus. Auch gibt es einen Tisch mit Stühlen an dem gemeinsam gegessen werden kann (4-6 Personen). Die Flure sind Kamera überwacht. Die Rezeption ist durchgängig besetzt. Auch dort gibt es die Möglichkeit Kalt- oder Heißgetränke zu sich zu nehmen.
