They have small parking, but near is lot more, though it's not free. Small galleria beautiful building. Must see, if you visit Hämeenlinna.

A diversely curated collection in the main building. We really enjoyed it and had the chance to discuss the artworks with the kids. Display selection seems also well thought of and made sense to me. It is true that it will require a bit more than 2 hours to visit all the rooms, especially if you choose to also visit the more classic contemporary art collection building (neo- and post-Impressionistic works etc.).

Good selection of Finnish art, especially the Hameenlinna 380 exhibit. Could do with a few comments in English though...

A nice local museum in two buildings. The main one has frescos by Gallen Kallela and featured an exhibition of Rudolf Koivu - good for Christmas. The satellite building has an exhibition of good Finnish landscape art. There is a a small car park between the buildings but no cafe that I could see. Friendly and helpful staff, free lockers and coat hanging facilities. Good toilets!

The surroundings are nice, there's more stuff to see than I could handle in one go. Really enjoyed the Hjalmar Munsterhjelm exhibition. One of the spaces even had portable chairs if you wanted to rest and admire the art at the same time. Remember to visit the other building as well.

Nice atmosphere and clearly built exhibitions. As the museum area consist of several buildings a clear map of the area could be nice.

Hämeenlinnan Taidemuseo on Verkatehtaan alueella Vanajaveden rannassa. Näyttelyt ovat erittäin laadukkaita ja uutta tulee jatkuvasti. Museossa on myös huomioitu todella kattavasti eri kohderyhmiä ja osallistettu myös mm nuoria näyttelyiden kuratoinnissa.

Taidemuseossa on esillä Camilla Vuorenmaan Joustava sydän-näyttely.

Sopivan kokoinen näyttelytila ja myymälä satunniselle kulkijalle. Lähellä Verkatehtaan pihassa sähköauton latauspiste.

Henkilökunta on ystävällistä, näyttelyn tilat ok. Museon myymälässä on kivoja myyntiartikkeleita. 4 tähteä siksi, että sisällä voisi olla hieman paremmat opasteet mistä näyttelyn katselun voi aloittaa. Lisäksi aula kakkoskerroksessa johdattelevine rappusineen ennen näyttelytilaa on hieman hämmentävä. Löysin matkallani yläkerrokseen jotain menneen näyttelyn materiaalia(?). Odotin juttuja sen hetkisestä näyttelystä. Fiilis ikäänkuin katkesi. Pikkujuttuja, mutta aiheutti kumminki kummastuneen tunteen.

Kävin kuuntelemassa esittelijän pitämän esittelyn. Kuinka paljon sain lisää tietoa asiasta. Mielenkiintoinen kierros!

Vierailimme heinäkuussa 2023. Tulimme paikalle autolla. Sillan jälkeen sai olla tarkkana, että älysi kääntyä oikeaan paikkaan. Parkkipaikka oli ilmainen kolmen tunnin ajan. Parkkitilaa oli rajallisesti pihassa. Käytimme museokorttia. Sisäänpääsy sujui sujuvasti ilman jonottamista. Päärakennuksessa tilat olivat valoisat ja hyvin ilmastoidut. Taulut olivat hyvin esillä. Näyttely jatkui yläkertaan. Sinne pääsi myös hissillä. Täällä näyttelytila oli jo viileä. Berdt Lindholmin teokset olivat vaikuttavia. Teksteistä sai hyvän kuvan hänen elämästään. Naapuri talossa löytyi Vexi Salmen kokoelma. Se on ehkä enempi nykytaidetta. Laajuus yllätti. Tutustumisen arvoinen.
