    My boyfriend bought me a beautiful bracelet from here for Christmas. $1,000, It was not cheap. Within 60 days (which they claim to be their policy), it broke. A piece attached to the clasp fell off, so it was unable to be done up. I wore this bracelet TWICE, once to a home dinner, and the other to my baby shower. There is no reason why something this expensive should break so easily, especially when handled with care. I went into the store to see if they could fix it, and they told me to buy a $115 warranty or else it would be garbage. Obviously I paid for it, but it was within 60 days? Nope, that only applies if you want to exchange it for something AND PAY $300 something dollars. Absolute bs! The quality of people’s has hit rock bottom, not to mention the manager that was hiding behind a computer across the store while a sales associate was dealing with us. I will never shop at peoples again.

    Bought my son a Vera Wang bracelet for Christmas on November 24. Got home and noticed it was poorly packaged in a People’s box, not the Vera Wang packaging advertised. I called the the store and was told “There is no Vera Wang packaging available for that collection”, I pointed out that it is clearly shown on the website with the item I bought. I was told “We will try to locate the packaging and get back to you in a couple days”. Five days later we were at the mall and popped into the store. We asked a random sales person about the Vera Wang packaging, she went to the back room and brought it out to us within a couple minutes, we thanked her profusely. Almost 3 weeks later I got a reply from the first sales lady saying “We may have some packaging but not sure when I can get it for you”. Not what one wants to hear as Christmas is quickly approaching. No apology. No reasoning for why it took her 3 weeks to get back to me. I informed her that someone else was much more helpful and that we already had the packaging in our possession. No reply from her to this day. Neither lady knew what the other had done. So I ask how hard did the First Lady even try? What is the communication like amongst these workers? You have one job, sell jewellery and package the jewellery. Customer service is not a priority at this Limeridge Mall location…

    Visited peoples a few days ago after browsing the catalogue. I found some rings I liked and since I was at the mall charging my car, I thought I was stop in and buy something. I showed the sales person a few of the rings from the catalogue for around $200-$250 as I was about to ask if they have similar in store I can look at, she stopped me mid sentence and in such a rude tone and told me to go online not in store because they “don’t sell the cheap stuff in store”. I was dumbfounded. Why be rude? How do you have people like this work here? This is how you represent the company? My advice: don’t waste your time and be careful if you’re wearing jeans and a sweater here, they will look down on you. I then visited another store in the mall, they helped me and got my sale. Even got me to spend more then I originally wanted too and I’m fine with that.

    When I arrived to Peoples I was greeted by everyone and one stood out which was Jinat. Come here all the time because of Jinat! She is super nice & friendly, does not try to push me on buying things which makes the experience better, she provides a lot of great recommendations, is very patient, and easy to work with! Fantastic service from Jinat and love all the jewelry I walked out with!

    My wedding ring had cracked and I went to the store to have it repaired. The salesperson checked my ring finger for sizing and noted the original ring size of 10.5 needed to be redone to 11.5. When the ring was repaired and engraved, I went to pick it up and remarked if felt loose, almost slipping off of my finger. The salesperson noted my finger would swell in warmer weather and to give it some time before wanting the ring size reduced and re-engraved. After a month, I came back to the store and stated the ring still felt loose and was told any work to be done would be at my own expense because I had agreed to the 11.5 sizing. After almost losing my ring while swimming, I decided to go to another well known jeweller in the area and have my finger and ring size checked. The ring size measured 11.75 (larger than the 11.5 Peoples had claimed to have measured and ordered) and my finger size was 11.25 (not 11.5 as Peoples had measured). My ring is currently being redone by the other jeweller. After 38 years, I am disappointed with how Peoples handled this situation.

    HORRIBLE! my fiancé was sold a ring from here. It is the worst quality diamond. And they charged him way too much. I cannot believe anyone tried to convince him to buy that. He proposed 2 months after he bought it and they won’t let him return it. So embarrassing. I don’t know what to do with it. He ended up getting a beautiful ring from Spence Diamonds! Now that ring was beautiful.

    We bought an engagement ring and the staff assured us this model could be resized using beads. 3 months later, we got a call telling us the ring could only be resized if they melted some gold - we said fine, and waited 2 more months. When the ring was ready to be picked up, it was still one size too big. We were getting married soon so we took the ring since we didn't want to send the ring back and wait even longer.

    I will never buy from them again. My engagement ring was purchased here,but my wedding band wasn't. I have a life time warranty on it. To find out shanking is not covered, also sizing is suppose to be covered. I went to send at least one of my Ring in to be at least sized down which is covered. Right before leaving the store the manager came over and said they can't resize it and go down in size,as I need to do the shank which will cost me over $500. If I wanted to fix both my Ring it would be over $1000 and 3-4week wait. I took my ring somewhere else and paid $415 for both to be fixed in 24hours had them back, I didn't even notice my diamond where coming out which people should have caught when they were investigating my rings and it's covered under warranty, now I had to pay to have that fixed. I have warranty on my family ring that I just got in May from them. I sent that one away to get resized and was told 3-4weeks. I called them Friday which was 3 week to see if it was ready they dont know where my order stands and was suppose to call me back this past Monday after talking to the gold smith to see when I will get it back. I still have not heard from them when I will get my ring and now it's 4weeks, since they sent my ring out. I would not recommend buying a warranty from them, and there jelwery break easily. I am not happy with there service nor costumer service

    The absolute worst customer service in the mall. Make no wonder more and more customers are shopping online for jewelry. I have a lot of jewelry from People's that I have accumulated over the years but I will never purchase anything else there again. Nor will my husband, family or friends. So many businesses are trying to retain customers at this time but not People's. I was trying to return an item that was a few days past the return date with a sales associate which was proceeding well until the store manager interrupted and stopped the transaction. I should mention the associate had returned an item from the exact same receipt just a minute before but for some reason the two returns where not processed at the same time. This makes no sense. I was confused about the dates b/c of Covid-19. I asked the manager if I could apply the amount to a different product but was told "NO." Zero willingness to help. When you order online it states you can take any returns to a store and they would be very happy to help you. No so! The manager was very condescending. I felt humiliated. If you expect good customer service you won't get it here. Go somewhere else where they appreciate you, your money and your time.

    I have been to this particular Peoples I'm the past two weeks about 4 times. 3 out if the 4 times I had extremely rude customer service. I had a 4 month old and a toddler both who were crying my last time there. I put a necklace on hold and was told three people were ahead of me. I then said excuse me and the manager just put up her finger and told me to wait. And the other lady who finished with a customer also said I had to wait my turn when I approached her after she finished with the customer who was with her. All I wanted to know is if it was okay if I could take my 4 month old and change her and come back and just pay for the item. I don't understand what's the point of holding an item if you still have to wait the same amount of time as when you are in-store shopping. We drove over an hour to come to this location and this will be the last time I shop here.

    I went in a couple weeks ago to look at and potentially (which I did), buy a family necklace for myself. The service was medicore (was the manager that helped me). I went this morning to pick it up (it's gorgeous), the sales lady that I dealt with today was rude!!! I was so excited and she couldn't have been less friendly. Makes me regret purchasing from this location. Will not be back

    My husband has been purchasing all of my jewellery from People’s for years in Limeridge mall. We are blessed to have our jeweller her name is Sandra. Sandra is always so helpful, informative and eager to provide us with the best customer service. She always has a beautiful smile whether she is selling jewellery, doing my checks every 6 months or taking in repairs. She is full of knowledge. My birthday and Christmas is coming up and happy to come in and see her to repeat business. Thank u People’s for having Sandra on your team. She is a huge reason we repeat business here. Thank u Sandra for all that u do!!!!!

    I have been a customer at this location for close to two years since moving to Hamilton. Every time I am in the store, I receive exceptional customer service from very knowledgable and helpful staff. Everyone is always so friendly and attentive, even if it’s a quick acknowledgement during a busy period. It has been unfortunate that I’ve had a few mishaps with jewellery sent out for service, but this has not been at the fault of the staff in store. The staff has been exceptional in handling my issues and making it right!! I understand that things sometimes happen that are beyond store level control… but it’s how the situation is dealt with that makes all the difference in the world!! I truly appreciate the Team at LimeRidge mall. I love the People’s guarantee and how they stand behind their diamond bond. My latest mishap was a lost diamond from my engagement ring that was purchased in 2015 and it was replaced!! I happily accept my responsibility of bringing in my jewellery to be checked when it should be, and I appreciate People’s standing behind their guarantee!!

    Came today with a slight mix up in my order and Paula approached me and helped me figure out what had happened with my order, she went above and beyond to search every system she could, she helped me find the earrings and I was able to purchase the ones I ordered and leave with a smile!     Was a little disappointed I called and asked if I could use a certain credit card they said I could and when I got there it was a big run around to use it .I can from puslinch not just the city .. that being said the lady who helped me was great.. So when I went to pick up the ring I ordered for my husband I was treated so wrong . When I walked in the store the sales clerk gave me a funny look like I didn't belong. So I explained I was here to pick up my ring she asked my name I gave it .. she asked me 2 more times . Then asked to see id which is good .. then goes to put it in a bag then gives me this look of disgust and says " oh do you want me to wrap it" I said yes pls ... So I sat and waited for her to wrap it . Another sales representative says to me can I help you all snooty . I explained I was already being taking care of.. finally the representative comes out from the back hands me my bag . Here ya go .. if I could have changed my score to a zero star 🌟 I would have.. I was super excited about going to pick up that ring .. And once again the staff made my experience horrible 😳. You should not be treated like you shouldn't belong in a store where you're a paying customer.... Trust me Its not like the store is around the corner from me...Shane on you people's for allowing your staff to treat ppl wrong ..

    I went into your Limeridge Mall location to look into purchasing a few items for a gift. I was approached by one of your saleswoman by the name of Paula K. She was very knowledgeable, kind, helpful and guided me into picking out the perfect gift. I did not feel pressured or rushed at anytime by her and by the end of my visit she made me feel more like a family member then a customer. Your company should be very proud and grateful to have someone like her working for them. I would highly recommend her to family and friends.

    Never again will we buy anything. After having my ring fixed 7 times I give up. They haven’t offered anything to help or ask what they can do. I asked multiple times what can be done and they say nothing. Worst place to buy anything.

    During the pandemic I was limited to purchasing online as all of you most likely encountered yourselves well I proposed to my now wife during that time which I wouldn’t change for the world other than the terrible experience I had… I bought my wife’s engagement ring for $250 and my daughter had lost my chain so I bought a replacement for $200 I tracked the delivery the entire time Friday morning it had been updated said my delivery would be there on Monday so I figure I’m good for the weekend I don’t know why but I checked the progress on Saturday and it said my stuff was delivered on Friday so I went and checked the mail my wife’s ring was sitting on the ground in front of the mail box and my chain wasn’t there I made numerous complaints and nothing was being done then the diamond on my wife’s ring breaks off and the ring is apparently under warranty so I asked about that and nothing was done so I said I was going to seek legal assistance the next day I received a email it said the price of the chain was reduced to $50 and that’s all they gave me back and said the damage to the ring wasn’t covered under the warranty

    I visited on 8/31 around 3PM. The associate helping me had several things going on which were less than ideal in terms of customer service. - she did not introduce herself or wear a name tag - she is an eastern european lady in her 50s. Short sandy blonde hair. - She was assisting someone else while I waited for her which is fine. - When I told her I wanted to return an item, her facial expression completely changed, she looked annoyed and actually brushed me off. I wanted to see a piece of jewlery as well and she showed it to me then quickly grabbed it from me and put it back. - She made no eye contact with me the whole time. I also asked her to clean my diamond studs as they were due, she visibly looked even more irritated and did the task, very hap -hazardly. I am not one to heavily critique people as I understand someone can have a bad day. But I am used to very friendly service from this particular location and I felt that this associate was 1. judging me as a customer 2. was overall annoyed as if I was wasting her time. I'm a professional who is pleasant and very accommodating of people and to be treated "inferiorly", while subjective, is still an unpleasant experience, enough for me to want to write about it and share it with management. Perhaps, gentle reminders on strategies to all your associates about keeping and retaining returning clients may prevent negative experiences like mine in the future.

    Garbage jewellery. They sell broken earrings and don't stand behind their products. We bought earrings which arrived with loose backings. The store ordered a 2nd pair to replace which were also loose. My daughter lost an earring (surprise) so I ordered another pair and guess what? Yup, arrived with loose backings. We took the tightest 2 home and a couple weeks later, another earrings lost but this time the post broke in her ear. People's doesn't care once they make the sale.
