A French restaurant "So Lyonnais" unlike any other. A welcoming team, varied, hearty and beautifully presented dishes and all this in a very beautiful environment. It was a real pleasure to dine in this establishment...

Highest quality french dining in town, in my opinion. Beautiful traditional Lanna setting, lovely and attentive staff and owner & chef Laurent will serve a tenderloin with truffle sauce like you've never eaten before. 😃

New French Bistro in Chiang Mai. (opened up 2 months ago) • Traditional French, large portions, simple food styling, but oh so delicious. • The owner Laurent used to open a restaurant in Koh Kood, but got tired of the island life. He decided to come to amazing Chiang Mai, and offer honest French food in Thai decor tucked away in Nam Phrae. • The waitress is incredibly attentive, nothing escapes her. • The food is delicious and the portions are huge. • Even though most of the French dishes are made with cream, he could whip up a dish without it (ideal for people with Lactose intolerance). He clearly goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and provide a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed an outstanding lunch today at Bistro de Lyon, dishes we ordered were succulent, the ambience of the restaurant was great toped off by the excellent, attentive and friendly wait staff and owner Laurent who we had a great chat with. Portions were larger than local Thai meals, we shall return to taste the platter.

What a (hidden) GEM. We went here for a double date and lost count of how many times we said, “Wow…this is amazing.” The food, service, and atmosphere were 10/10 and the owner was very welcoming. The meat was fresh and perfectly cooked and the salad is a MUST. The WAGYU burger with the truffle was one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. We have been in Chiang Mai for about a year and have tried many restaurants - this is definitely in our top 3. One of our new favorites!

Authentic French cuisine, amazing food, nice and cozy place. Very friendly and pleasant owner and chef from Lyon! Definitely come back and recommend.
