One of the best restaurants in Chiang Mai area, surprisingly they got several Michelin Guide awards. This restaurant have a jungle concept and they achieved their goal. It looks like they don’t cut down the big trees when they build this restaurant, great architecture design and they also incorporate a small ponds. We got a table for 5 pax just on the porch looking to the pond. We order almost all the recommended items on the menus. Not long our meal arrived, such a great job. Not even more than 10 minutes one by one arrived and served. Food quality and taste is top notch, service was good. Great job for the team. Will be back soon

Delicious Thai food and a surreal experience. You walk into the restaurant and immediately get a completely natural vibe. They have a small lake, lots of naturally infused decors and tons of green area. It feels like walking into the set of Avatar movie - with delicious Thai food. They have plenty of staff to help serve you and take your orders. The food is pretty good and price is very reasonable. We highly recommend their fried rice, fried fish dishes and other northern dishes.

Kinda got lost in the fantasy jungle. Did love the mysterious forest vibe. Literally, worth the journey from BKK. Lucky that we made the reservation before, otherwise we would be starved to death at the reception area due to darning long line. All of our dishes were great with surprisingly reasonable prices.

The fish is difficult to eat as it has lots of bones. The prawn cake and stirred fry cabbage were good. Overall, the food was not exceptional but the pricing is reasonable. So it’s really the ambience here that makes the difference.

Well i cant actually believe i am just writing this. been to this place many times now, and not sure why i have never done a review lol. but this is great place for food, relaxing. the place is pretty huge and have lots of seating area's. staff a really quick and helpful. like most place does not look from the outside like you would be sitting in the middle of a tranquil area, with ponds waterfalls. the food is excellent large choice and for the quality the price is well worth the visit. even if you fancy a coffee they have sealed area inside which is air-conditioned. parking is no issue huge area outside for parking. Khaomao-Khaofang is to me, the best nature themed restaurant that I have ever visited in Thailand. Located in Chiangmai, we were brought to this restaurant-in-a-garden by the TAT or Tourism Authority of Thailand. To say that the restaurant is breathtaking is an understatement. The interiors alone is already a tourist attraction. The garden setting with lush trees, shrubs and colorful flowers which are all natural, are so refreshing and relaxing. What adds to the superb ambiance are the manmade water features such as waterfalls, streams, and ponds all over the area. Food was great as we were served a variety of the restaurant's specialties. This review comes 3 years after our trip around the northern part of Thailand. Our exposure trip was made possible through TAT, and our organization, the PTCSCI from the Philippines is truly grateful for the hospitality and assistance afforded to us.

I was in the area and looked up restaurants on Trip Advisor and Google Maps. This place popped up, so I gave it a try. It’s a beautiful place. The food menu has so many choices that one is bound to find something to eat. It felt like I was going through an encyclopedia though, so out of a sense overwhelmed-ness I just ordered basic pad thai. The food was plated nicely and tasted good, but it wasn’t great. I wasn’t compelled to want to bring all my friends and family to have them experience the food. Service was basic. My dirty dishes sat on the table for 30 minutes while staff stood by. Perhaps that’s normal—because they were indeed alert and cleaned a table as soon as a customer left—but I just assumed a place that caters to tourists would at least clear the table and give customers the dessert/drink menu after a meal. There was no engagement with me whatsoever by the staff except for when I ordered and when I paid. Gorgeous place though.

[March 2023] Very nice environment. The mango sticky rice was fresh with its mango, and a good mix with the crunchy seeds (don’t remember what) in the coconut milk. Tomyam was good, and even the western pork chop was excellent. It was tender whilst blending well with the sauces. My only pet peeve is the eutrophication within the lake environment which kind of reduces your appetite and the random insects that breed along with that. Otherwise, it is a great place to touch base with nature. Heck, even the toilet was blended in with an ant nest. I hope that they know how to maintain the animals and insects though haha, and if possible the toilet should have bidet

We used the time to go around the whole property and we were amazed but everything we saw. The place is clean despite its size. The toilet’s design is very nice especially the faucet. I liked their fried noodles as well as their stir fried mushrooms. The place has a huge parking area.

This is a beautiful restaurant. The staff is very professional and the food is great. There are large trees and ponds in the restaurant giving it the feel of being in the woods. We came right when it opened for dinner service and it got pretty busy by the time we left. Your dishes will come out as they are prepared by the kitchen so the time between our first dish coming and our last was probably over 20 minutes.

Food wise, hits and misses. Summer stater plate was a total waste of time. Avoid, unless you just want something pretty to take pictures with. All other items were great, particularly the duck egg fried gourd… super addictive. Cat fish curry stood out too.

My partner got food poisoning from the crab. He was fine from all the street food but was experiencing great pain after our dinner her.
