Biggest market in San Pa Tong District, It is famous as Buffalo market because it used to be the market for buying & Selling Buffaloes. But now it turns into a big market for food, clothing, footwear, hardware, grocery, daily needs, spices, meat & much more. The best thing about this market is - you do not need to bargain for the price, everyone has displayed the price upfront and which is fixed & super cheap. It starts around 6AM until 9AM, so go early to buy fresh. There is a proper parking on both sides of the main road.

A large Thai market place....Everything from livestock, to clothing, to local produce, hardware, motorcycles, furnture, and everything in between..... Acres of vendors..... An interesting experience....Not aimed for tourists.....It's a large Thai marketplace where many locals do their once a week shopping.... Bargains to be had along the way..... Be polite and don't photograph people just living their lives....Nothing exotic - but different than a flea market in the west.....A bit of real rural Thailand....

Large, huge, outdoor mkt. Early, 7am, kwahi buffalo sales. 17 miles South of Chiang Mai city center. Go early though, 8:30am, it's best

Love this market, Saturday is the day and an early start, opens at 05:00 and midday people start packing up. Food, clothes, house hold goods and buffalo, cows and goats, chickens can all be found here. 45 min from Chiang Mai south gate, straight down the Hang Dong road

An enormous market, with stalls on both sides of the road, selling almost everything! There are still buffalo for sale, as well as cats, dogs, goldfish, and maybe snakes, there was some guy performing a ritual over some boxed pythons. Not certain what that was all about though. Anyway....an interesting place to go to !

Non existent. Wasted hours going there only to find it shut even though it was the scheduled day of the month. Looked like it had been closed for many months or years

As a foreigner, it's just a great experience to see rural upcountry life unfold
